The nostalgia level on the savard to me is epic!!! I'm 40 years old and had I set of 12" savards in a bandpass box when I was 16. Would love to throw it in the back of my Focus ST. It would be a nice lightweight edition!!! And all the nostalgia‼️
very few people will know what you're talking about. i am one of those few. had a dual 12" Savard box in a hatchback mustang in the 90's.Boxwas black with aqua-ish blue splatter paint. made some nice bass.
I have 8 of the 12’s. They weigh I believe 42lbs each. Once you factor in a proper enclose it will not be a lightweight addition. And these handle some power. If you want to actually push them you will absolutely have to upgrade your electrical system. A stock electrical system wouldn’t support what one of these 12s will do.

That is one impressive 6.5 sub right there! I would love to do some testing on it, but as you said, it's more of an SQ sub and I wouldn't want to damage it. "If" I won it, I would build a box for it, and give to my 16yr old nephew Jacob.
I would put it in my sons 02 Ram. He’s 16 and loves the car scene. He’s not driving yet due to the truck not running yet but he’s doing the work to get it road worthy. Proud of his hard work and it would be great for under the seat!
Savard is awesome. They always have been. I had a wedge shaped savard bandpass box back in the mid 90's and it had 2 12" Hi Q' subs I think they referred to as the "Dual 12 Awesome Bandpass" system and it was absolutely amazingly brutal. I only was pushing it with an old school purplish Lanzar Opti Drive Plus 100... in was in the hatch of an old vw rabbit with the slot ports on the box facing about 6" inches from the rear trunk wall. It was famous in my small hometown of Amory Mississippi for flipping quarters and pop cans off the roof on cruse night. ;)

Savard been around for awhile,but also been gone for awhile. They just open up a few years ago. My brother had some 12 back then and they pound! I would put this in wife car. She been bugging me to put a small system in her car or surbarban lol. Keep them coming and always a like and a thumbs up.
I like how clean the lows sound, through my headphones at least. I would throw it behind the rear seat of my truck after I build a box for it and I have an amp that would pair perfectly with it!
Savard makes a solid product, they have for years and years. I ran rap 10s in the 90s off a RF 4080dsm with boston 6x9s all in a mini truck. System was amazing. Currently I bought 4 sets of the rap components and am running them un my tahoe off a RF t600.4 they scream. Been wanting to do a pair a hiQ 8s for a minute.
It's pronounced "sah-VAARD":) . I had the pleasure of competing in USAC back in the late '90s with all Savard speakers and meeting/having dinner with Bill Savard. Now, Will Savard, his son has revitalized the company and made the best subs on the market even better. In the process of doing a system in my '93 Indy Pace Truck using Savard 6.5" Rap Series components and a 8" Rap sub in a 4th order bandpass. Their speakers are no joke. Just listened to a pair of 8" Hi-Qs in a 6th order do mid 140s in a hatchback...on a test box. :)

What a great subwoofer, my first truck i got (im 17) was completely stripped of its sound system even the wiring. I have bought some Memphis 6.5 speakers and got it rewired and this sub would perfect for my single cab tacoma.

Savard HiQ subwoofers dominated most of the usac competitions when I was a teenager. I'm 43 now so we're taking over 25 years ago. Anyways I have a HiQ 8 in my car and the sound pressure it creates is amazing at 500 watts!

I really like the smaller subs. Nice tight, accurate bass. I would use this little Savard 6.5 for my home theater/ living room music setup. It would be nice to have good bass and not worry about blowing out my neighbors eardrums.

These are perfect for a rear dash build , for those who are looking for a system that will pump out accurate and loud tunes without a huge box, massive amps, 500 dollar batteries...I'm working on a dual p3 8inch build in a rear dash right now and I tell you don't sell well built small subs short. These things are perfect for trucks as well. The boxes can be made to fit under the rear seats😈 and one of these will make Fiat or a small car that size pulsate. P.s you seem extra jazzed this video, hope your having some good weather and sun, good to see you checking out these little killers. Honestly if I won this I would turn around and build a system for a friend just to get them into car audio.
Man I've always loved the Hi-Q. Big D does most his videos with them. I would love to have this so my youngest son can learn more about audio systems so I can teach him. If I would win it would be his not mine. I have the perfect amp for this little guy too. My son is 7 and is a basshead as it is. He would be ecstatic if I would show him what he would have. He helps to build boxes and has his own tools set. The only way to keep younger generations interested in stuff like this is to teach them. I've been a basshead all my life as far back as I can remember and im sure he will be the same. He never tells me to turn it down but rather to turn it up more.

I’d love to have a product that was designed and tested by Savard themselves they have great customer service and products and the 6.5” and 8” HI-Qs are the drivers that put them right back on the map. Wow, that seems like a great sub!Never heard of the company, but would be eager to test it out in my Lexus IS 250. Being the fact that it’s a small sub I would go for a sound quality build and possibly try designing a fiberglass box to mount on the backside of my ski pass. I feel that this would be the ideal location/application for this sub because it will allow for increased trunk space and give people a surprise. Great vids by they way!
