This band was formed by Boh on Bass, Mikio Fujioka on guitar and Yuya Maeta on drums, all of them are great jazz session musicians, the drummer and guitarist actually teach music in some music schools in Japan, but they also occasionally do metal music generally with the guitarist Takayoshi Ohmura in a band called the KAMI Band most known for being backup to Babymetal.
With the sad death of the guitarist Mikio Fujioka (the guy you already seen who plays guitar while holding the whammy in your previous KAMI BAND reaction, a super talented guitarist) the drummer became the leader of KARI Band and now they have students and friends of Mikio Fujioka as guest guitarist to play in his place

The Kari Band is an offshoot of the Kami Band. Originally Mikio Fujioka, BOH and Yuya Maeta. After Mikio’s passing, one of his students, Oka Satoshi, stepped into the guitar role. They have an online live concert with an awesome array of Japanese jazz musicians as a 6 piece.

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。Yuya Maeta, the drummer, used to be a member of Kami Band. I love fusion music of this kind as well as BABYMETAL and Band-Maid. We say "Japan is a country obsessed by Rock and Jazz". I believe the rock obsession started in 1966 when Beatles visited Japan and held 5 concerts at Budokan. Talking about hard rock / heavy metal music, a number of bands started to come to Japan thereafter : Led Zeppelin (1971), Deep Purple (1972), Iron Maiden (1981) etc. Jazz obsession had started earlier than rock. Genres called "jazz rock", "crossover", "fusion" and so on have been widely accepted in Japan. I sometimes played as an amateur trumpeter. (I wonder if BABYMETAL or Band-Maid would need horn section 😄 )。
