Thanks for your video Adam. I can see you feel a lot of self loathing after drinking. Failed attempts are also normal. One day you’ll look back at them when you’re happily sober.
so, you saw T2 and met Robert Patrick. Had to top it off. I get it. when I am feeling good I want to feel better. Please make a video on the experience of your day before you drank. T2 is my favorite movie.
As someone who quit weed and cigarettes over Christmas, I just want to congratulate you for making the effort to try and get sober. I would have never been able to do it on willpower alone, fortunately I was completely broke and so I had no other option but to deal with the cravings/withdrawals. The first 3-5 days was the hardest bit, after which it was pretty smooth sailing. 7 months later I'm still clean but I find myself having occasional cravings for a smoke, I even smoke in my dreams sometimes... Alcohol is an absolute bastard of a thing to free yourself of.. I feel for you and hope the best for your struggle. Just try to remind yourself how far you've come.. Even if you only make it 10 days, think about how hard that was and how you wouldn't want to go through that again. Once you're 10 days clean the next 10 will be so much easier, and the next 10 after that.
Sorry to hear about your relapse episode. Hopefully the days that followed got better and your mental health improved as well. Stay strong we’ll all going through something mate ❤
We're still proud of you, because you're fighting something that's incredibly difficult. Progress may not be perfectly linear. Keep fighting! Keep going anyway!
You are just cheating yourself by not going back to day one !! I really dont think uou are ready to stop drinking even though you tell yourself you must stop. I wish you all the best for the future but you have to be ready and strong to stop and do it for you.
Just scratch day 9 Adam and go sober again. Take it easy on yourself boss, shit just happens. I too am a binge drinker and aim for large periods of abstinence yet I accept that I like to drink and the odd bender. Don't overthink it Adam.
G'day Adam. We all feel like you did sometimes. When you divide nine days of sobriety into the one day you had a drink, it's pretty diluted and I wouldn't let it get to you. Also, at least the red wine has health benefits. Everyone has a cheat day.
In July 2023 I decided to stop drinking. I held up pretty well for about 150 days, then I was tempted and drank half a bottle of wine, and before the end of the evening I knew it was a mistake. In the last 12 months I drank 8 times in total, and all those times were a mistake. What I learned is that I don't have a drinker mentality anymore. I start over and enjoy being sober even if it's only for 5 days before the next incident. Today is day 55 or day 359 with 8 mistakes. The next goal is to get to 500 days and keep the mistakes at 8. Good luck to you and keep rising up.
Hey brother, I am at 2 and a half years sober from alcohol. It's been a difficult time. But I truly believe you can do it. Please reach out to me if you ever need anything. No questions asked, I will respond.
Every failure contains a lesson, don’t beat yourself up… but don’t let yourself off the hook either. Move on and remember all the reasons you are doing it for
I am a massive drinker, i was drinking 3 bottles a wine a nite at times.Last drink was december 31st 2023. I haven't given up drinking, but i am on a fitness regime so it will affect that, i would risk bieng over the limit next day, cant use my car if i had a beer, cant play guitar properly, or go windsurfing and bieng drunk is not attractive, So drinking really restricts my everyday life, i am 47.Financially i am much better off too.
That sucks man, but I think to stay accountable, if you've had a drink you need to change this video to "Day 1". It will keep you honest and when you see the days getting higher and higher you'll feel better about yourself.
Well done for doing it its really hard to stop things you really like and know you should but it very difficult so well done but dont doing stuff under influence as it might come back to bite you on arse peace
These videos serve as a continuous reminder of alcohol, hindering your efforts to block it from your life. It's crucial to completely eliminate it from your thoughts and daily conversations. By using these videos as a crutch, you're allowing alcohol to remain a prevalent aspect of your life.
A day gained is never a day lost. Don’t apologize. You got nine days. Keep stringing them together man
What’s most impressive is your honesty, and that you are right back to it.

It’s super hard to live with this monster. You’re doing the best you can 👍
Keep it up. You're doing great.
I've been sober since 2014. 😁👍🏼

T2 is hands down one of the best movies ever made, Robert Patrick killed that role. It is cool you got to meet him in person.
What is T2?
