The dress with a top layer is my favourite - it's incurably elegant, and that's whether you use a sweater or a trenchcoat, long or short, it's guaranteed to work
I love those skirts on you. The gold one is so versatile, much more so than I would have thought if I had seen it in a shop. I never would have purchased it, and now it's my goal to find one similar. I especially like it with a chunky sweater .
😍This camel belt is to die for! Excellent outfits-as always; my favourite would be the wide leg trousers with blouse.

You have such great ideas and guidance, Alyssa, but the black socks with the grey pants and sneaks was a miss for me. I think it would have worked with a low/no show sock.
I liked it, brought the focus to the sneakers and felt quite deliberate -to me felt not quite as casual as sneakers on their own
I liked it too and I used to hate socks on show. Very South Korean look IMO.

The collar of the dress is such a key component of the layered dress + sweater outfit-beautiful! The nice thing about a button up dress is being able to layer a t-neck underneath as well. What a great swap!

Perfect video for this transition time of the year. I find I am gravitating towards the jeans and blazer look but also reversing it with a tailored jean jacket on top with a basic pant on the bottom. Thank you again for a very helpful video.

Your ideas are so creative. I esp luv how you vary the lengths of sweaters and tops and hemlines in order to change the appearance of outfits. I love the premise of this video. Sometimes an outfit doesn’t work and then you realize, it is the proportions. I recently purchased a black satin skirt. The satin skirt is everywhere now. I tuck my top into either my panties, usually a shape wear style or panty hose for cooler months to get the cleaner line. I so enjoy my Sunday coffee with you. Thanks for a really good video.

You did it again. Such an inspiration! My favorite outfit's were the dress and the wide leg pants and blouses. I find myself thinking as I watch your video what do. I have in my closet that I can use to create that look. I am definitely lacking in the dress department. I've got to find some good deals in those long lean looks. My dresses are loose and flowing. I use a vest or jacket with them.

Tip 1 is great!
Tip 2 - I don't have accessories. I chose to donate all of mine about 4 years ago.
I think a lot of these suggestions are easy to tailor to body type. For me, I love the monochrome looks, I dress this way most days.
I don't own jeans. I tend towards either cords or khakis instead. I also don't own turtle necks, preferring crew neck sweaters as I have a very short neck.

OMG! You showed me how to make a skirt that I was looking at as what was I thinking because of the panel high splits and my age. You made it look quite sophisticated and I will be trying that skirt on styled with the boots and sweater. Also, I keep forgetting not to store away my slip skirts during the colder season but use them as layers when it get really cold. This maybe the way for me to keep color in my Fall/Winter wardrobe. You hit it on the nail when it comes to belts and what it can add to an outfit. This is one reason I have gotten into thrifting genuine leather belts because those cheap pleather ones can not hold up with what required in a stressed area of cinching and going thru loops. All outfits put together points are going to be really useful. Thanks for sharing and blessing to you and all in the days to come.

Loved the outfits but the one that resembles my “Winter uniform” the most is the total black with the kilt-like mini-skirt and over-the-knee boots. All black and one color point is my style for colder months. I have been looking for a skirt and a pair of boots like that for years (I cannot find the right combination of sleek style and heel for it to look classy and comfortable like yours). The search goes on!

Hi there! Ahhh the moto jacket is an old secondhand find - it is more wool than leather. Originally from Club Monaco!
Another good SYC session. One thing I have learned to appreciate is when a garment purchase has an optional scarf or other accessory from the same fabric or print. I used to reject that option, usually because the price seemed excessive for the added item. I observed that on the few times I did get the scarf, I almost never regretted it. The reduction of cost-per-wear for both the garment and scarf was accelerated by the added styling possibilities. I tend to wear and keep the garment longer. Lesson learned. I don't always make the added purchase, but consider the possibilities carefully.

I think you should consider dyeing those light wash wide legged jeans Alyssa. The tone of them just doesn't coordinate with the rest of your wardrobe or your personal colour season. The mid-tone and dark denim you wore elsewhere in the video is much more harmonious and flattering on you! Plus the light jeans look slightly tired and yellowed, so so common in second hand and vintage light wash pieces. Recolouring them is an extremely cheap and easy DIY, no heat required as I assume they are primarily made of cotton, and I think you could breathe so much new life into them and get so much more wear! Could be a fun video idea too ;)
