Great job running through detailed disassembly - I probably wouldv'e broken something if not for our video! Found my son's battery cable still had the "3M" backing on the adhesive so the battery cable (after two years) finally worked its way loose. As soon as I reseated it, it turned on. Thanks a ton!

Thanks this was just the information l needed to replace the bulging battery in my wife’s Chromebook. For reference there is a long screw under each or the large pads at back that need to be removed to remove the the top(keyboard and touchpad).

Remove the battery, completely disassemble it and dry it.
What happen if not charging I don't see a green light popping in side. I don't have idea if the charger or the laptop are damage.
