So my mouse pad has gone wack like sometime it doesn’t register my finger movement and other times it seems to be too sensitive and I accidentally close out of tabs I’m using can you explain a solution to this?

Does the key pad assembly separate from the base it is attached to in order to replace it? Ot is the entire assembly what gets swapped out even though my touch pad mouse pad are fine? Thank you so much for being you guys

There's no wp screw in this model, its cr50, you could use either debug cable or just disconnect the battery and plug in ac to remove wp

My chrome book turned on when I disconnected the battery and plugged the charger in. Turned it off and reconnected the battery to turn it back on and it refuses to turn on.
Then I disconnected battery, plugged charger in- computer turned on. While it’s on I plugged the battery back on and I’m waiting to see if it’ll charge. Is the battery faulty?

I don't think its worth it. Unless you have a really expensive chromebook with decent specs besides those things.

@MetallicBill I think I replied to the wrong comment. I thought he was asking if a chromebook was worth it. I have a chromebook but I only use it to take notes in class, gameboy emulation, and taking quizes online. That's it. Nothing else. Ao I might use it about 1 hour a week at most.

@MetallicBill try emulators on it if you like playing old games. They will run up to PS1 games. And bluetooth controller it is pretty awesome. It's nice.

Yikes! Don't use the exacto knife to pull out those covers! Get a nylon tool or dental pick.

I like his toolkit but I do use plastic / nylon spudgers :) a dental pick sounds interesting are there mny strong enough?

Agreed. you can find small jeweler tools with straight to L shaped/bent/curved points to do the same job without harming the rubber grommets. I found it easier to remove than the X-acto knife used in this video.

You haven't removed the keyboard mate

WILSON ISAAC the keyboard is plastic welded to the palmrest assembly. You would replace the entire assembly.
