I followed these instructions and saved my Chromebook from an early grave. Yes, it works, and yes it's easy. You really only need two tools, a plastic "spudger" and a good Phillips head screwdriver. I was surprised to find that though the screws are tiny, a screwdriver doesn't have to have an especially tiny bit to remove them. Also, there is no need for a separate tool to open the seam at the bottom of the case. My plastic spudger (actually, part of children's craft kit, intended to gently scrape lines into black coating on cardboard) worked as well on that seam as on it did on the rest of the bezel.
Thanks, nice video! My screen displays well, but it is very finicky about where the screen is positioned on the hinge. I have to wiggle and jiggle it to get the screen to light up, and using the touch screen often knocks it out of the sweet spot and it goes dark. It has had a couple decent drops, but works great when the screen is lit. Is this a problem you've seen before? Perhaps I loosened the connector? Haven't taken the bezel off yet. TIA!

I was able to replace my sons screen and he is back in business! **Only thing I had to do was take it back apart once because I hadn’t plugged in the connector all the way so it wouldn’t power on. Once I heard the clicking sound like you mentioned I put back together and was good to go Thanks again for your help!!!!!!!!!!
