Thank you so much, this video has saved me a couple of hundred pounds. I would have never even dreamed of replacing my own screen before seeing this video, but you made it seem so easy and doable for anyone of any ability. Cannot thank you enough! 100% Recommend.
Awesome. My 12 years old son and I just finished replacing his laptop screen following your tutorial. Thank you for the links to the necessary supplies!
@@boga2 I replaced the screen without removing the battery and so far my chromebook is operating fine. I would have perferred to be safe and remove it but I couldn't find a good video on removing the battery and it seemed difficult. I viewed several videos on replacing the screen and no battery was removed.
Thank you so much for this straightforward and very easy to follow video! This has provided much headache relief, especially with listing the links for parts. Cheers!
Hi! Thank you SO much for this video, it was perfect. The links you provided were legit and my screen is fixed! Even though I did end up getting a new laptop I was able to repurpose the damaged one and give it to my son! Saved me from having to spend another couple hundred at least on a new one. Thanks!
hi i have this same exact chromebook and anytime i moving the screen forward or backward the screen glitches and back to normal do u have any idea about this problem
Firstly thank you for a superb tutorial. I found an hp model 14a-naoo1onr in an office supply dumpster. It seems to work but the screen is damaged. Which screen do I need to order, and approximate cost? Any guidance is appreciated!
Always disconnect the battery when working with the LCD connector. Common for power rails for the screen to be *live* even when powered off. Otherwise there is a risk of damaging both the new screen and the motherboard.
Oh no. I just opened up the new screen I ordered. It said to remove the battery. How difficult is that? I might have opted to pay the extra $100 to have that done, unless I can find a video showing me how to do it.
Hi, when I put in the new screen replacement, the screen stays black. I see that the computer is turned on, but the screen isn't showing anything. Why is that?
The display cable connector might not be fully seated into where it plugs into the display. Even if it looks plugged in properly, it may not be plugged in far enough.

@@beedear9792 did it turn on automatically?. how did you do it without accidentally turning it on? It seems like it has the tendency to tun on when you shut and open the screen.
@@browneyedgirl57 hmm. I see your concern. I just remember that I succeeded and it is working fine now. I took the chance not removing the battery and so did other people on RUclips. You'll have to decide if you want to take a chance by not removing the battery. The video was very helpful.
@beedear9792 thanks for the reply, I just took the screen out to see the model number. I will be purchasing the screen and will replace it without taking the battery out. I just want to make sure I won't accidentally turn it on 😊

@@beedear9792 no need. Battery is buried in the main body of laptop anyway.

Can you give me a link to by a bezel for the same model?
Thank you. Why did't you have a replacement screen to finish the project?
I need to check the serial and order the new replacement screen.

Does this work for all 14a models, I have 14a-na0061dx
The steps should be the same
I got the model 14a-na0061dx but can’t find a screen replacement with the same model on Amazon . Can I use the 14a-na0023CL model??
Quick Question I'm not satisfied with the display of this current screen the colours are dim so can It be upgraded or something?? Please answer
You cant upgrade to different screen. Maybe change to a different company but stay with the screen model.

Do you have to remove the battery when installing the screen on a non touch hp 14a-na0131wm laptop?
Recommended to disconnect battery before any repair.
