Soaring soulful vocals that simultaneously burn you and cool you. Bailey's voice ,,, smoothest falsetto EVER. Never missed em when they came to NYC. As someone else remarked, the whole band was off the chain. NEVER any STATIC at their concerts , you left feeling LIFTED, CHALLENGED, and ENCOURAGED. To my knowledge, Ive never EVER heard another MALE sing in "whistle voice" like Bailey.He also went on to make some beautiful music in the Contemporary Christian Inspirational Genre.

With the passing of my father-Bishop/Rev. Charlie Chatman on Sept 10th 2013, this song help me with keeping faith in God and continuous to keep my head looking into the sky.

Great singers no how to change there voices to save strength sometimes to hit those high notes. Very few can go from. 1st. Tenor to Falsetta Phillip Bailey is unique . he,s a natural Falsetta but he,s also can sing low key.. if you have good voice control you should. Know this.
No disrespect to Smokey, Russel,Ron Banks or Eddie Kendricks, falsetto is cool but I like hearing Phil Bailey sing in his natural voice; I once heard Russel sing in his natural voice also and I prefer that just as I prefer The roles Tyler Perry plays when he plays a man than that Madea, which is played out!.
