Ingredients:
Millet (parboiled Barnyard) - 2 cup
Urad dal - 1/2cup
Methi/fenugreek seeds - 1tsp
Sabudana/sago - 1/4 cup
Salt - 1 tsp or to taste
Water - 2 cup or as required

What does par boiled means dear?
Cooking millet/rice in boiling water until it soft or half boiled then dried. You may know parboiled rice/urupel numpu which all do the same procedure

Do I buy the parboiled millet already from the Indian grocery? I bought raw millet and sorghum which I presoaked but the sorghum still didn't seem soft enough so I used that for porridge this time. Any suggestions on the millet type to buy?
At an Indian grocery store, you may find both raw and parboiled millet varieties. Sorghum are little hard even if we soak long hour. For millet types, commonly available varieties include pearl millet (Bajra), finger millet (Ragi), and foxtail millet, little millet, barnyard millet, kodo millet. Each has its unique taste and nutritional profile. Choose the one that suits your preferences and dietary needs. I buy all types of millet.
Yes the sorghum barely softened up but might get that flour at the Indian shop or will check at the Sudan or Ethiopian shops also by me. I'm excited to try the different millet types and I already have the different dals at home. Thank you for sharing all the videos!

But adding Sabudana defeats the purpose. It has got a very high calorie and of full starch. Instead we can use the rice itself.
