It's important to refer the people who vent to you to another outlet, so they still have somewhere to go. As draining as they are, they too need mental health support when you can't help them.
I took a mental health break from school this past semester with the thought process that I would get to pour into myself, and instead, the past couple of months have been chaotic. However, through this journey, I realized how much of a people pleaser I was. It helped me to realize the desire to change and set boundaries. I will definitely be checking that video out next. I am in the headspace now where I refuse to allow people to disrupt my peace anymore. Thank you for this video and the amazing advice you give. Last day on August 22 I found myself having a mental breakdown for almost 13hours continually for the thing doesn't exist and it's part of the past ..and now august 23 watching your advice make me feel better .

Most of the time , i think i feel at peace in a solid 8. I think i am on the right path. Feeling at peace is something that i don´t think many people experience at all. And I truly achieved that. I suffered a lot throught my chilhood and adolescence and now, as a young 27 yr old woman, I am really proud of myself, even when i am stressed or sad i know it will pass because I never give up on myself. Peace is the main goal, not happiness.

I’m a teacher in a junior high school and started to work in a new one this year, April. After super busy days, I took holidays. Then I realized that I sacrificed too much for students, their parents, and my co-teachers. Tomorrow, the new semester starts. I love all of these tips!! I am on a huge healing / resetting journey right now after quitting my corporate job just a few months ago. Right now I'm focusing on #7, creating a positive environment, because I find that cleaning out and reogranizing are very grounding activities - and decluttering space will yield a decluttered mind! I need to put some more focus on #8 though (properly releasing negative emotions) since there is an absolute windfall of emotion following such a drastic life change. 💖

I think another thing that stress out people is doing too much, we think the more we do the more we would accomplish but in the end it will make us burnt out, lose confidence, and we become more of a perfectionist. It's better to have a more simple routine or finish one thing at a time. Developing a habit and achieving goal could take years.
