You have so much to be grateful for. You woke up this morning, You can see, You can walk, you can smell the flowers, you can hear the birds. Pull yourself out of this negative place. None of us know how much time we have left on this planet so get out there and enjoy your life while you are still young enough and healthy enough to do whatever you want. Some say I'm just doing drama...they don't believe me...they don't believe I have panic attacks or a whole load of fears and insecurities...they don't know how I feel. It's easier for them to say that I should do yoga or drink tea....I mean I'm british and tea is my solution for almost everything but that's not the point. The point is...I feel like they don't want to believe me so it's easier for them.

I agree. It is so hard opening up about mental health because of this. It’s like you could say my leg hurts but it will sound weird if you say your mind hurts or your heart hurts. Best wishes to you all , I myself going through depression really need to get self love and also practicing radical acceptance is so hard too

    • @romanchasteen3562
      @romanchasteen3562 Год назад

I understand that feeling, the feeling of not knowing how much I am actually loved. I, like you, was (until I met one particular person) never told that I was unworthy, but I believed I was anyway.
For me it was because I felt like I could never do enough for others. And that feeling was amplified when I met and dated that person I mentioned earlier. The relationship didn't start with her telling me I was bad or unworthy or not good enough or that my life was never going to go anywhere or that I was fat, ugly and "letting myself go" or that I was terrible at conversation, etc, but after a couple of years that's where we ended up. Another year later I finally got away from her, and haven't talked to her in about 6 months, which has been... nice (to say the least).
But now I am mostly on my own. I have a few friends, but it's hard to contact them sometimes. I'm trying to make some more, but that's pretty difficult for my extremely introverted self. Some days I just want to hug or cuddle someone I care a lot about, and who I know cares about me a lot too...
I'm not sure if that last part is something you relate to or not, but if it is... then I'm sending a virtual hug your way. I hope you have a wonderful day, and that you know that there are people who love you, and who think you are worthy. 🤗

I recently read this book called Decolonizing Wellness by Dalia Kinsey. While I read this I worked on some stuff and came up with some good affirmations. 1. My needs are valid regardless of if someone else understands them or not. 2. I give myself permission to be the decision maker of what’s best for me and my body and where that takes me. I don’t have a very supportive family in my healing journey and these were things I needed to hear because no one else was going to say it to me.

I’m currently 3 years sober and just got released from prison after doing 11 months and you’ve been part of my recovery through out the entirety. I’ve read many spiritual growth books while locked up. Believe me it’s not easy to be positive in prison but I made everyday count. I always play your meditations that really the only guided meditations I do is yours. Please continue to add more of your meditation practice. “I am here an this moment right now is all that matters “ in the now there is no suffering. Attaining Enlightenment is success , attaining Enlightenment enlightenment opens up space for the universe to allow positive coincidences to occur on our journey. I’m Native American (Navajo) and it’s so true what you said in this video, “We are Nature” and we are all connected. Thank you Aileen for your energy and words.

Yes, operating from a place of self-love is key. From childhood to my teenage years, I've struggled with the idea of feeling good enough. Even as an adult, it's still a challenge but what I'm learning is that the impact of kindness towards yourself is huge. We are sometimes quick to be kind to others but not to ourselves. So self-love to me is simply being kind to myself.
Also, the point about being the main character in your story is also a big one. When you are the main character, you start taking action towards the life that you want. You start to make things happen for you.

I want to be like you too helping people especially my friends around me or my family, but I'm not brave enough and quite shy also not really a good at talking(?) but I have that dream.
What I learn here is that, how beautiful it is to be deep with yourself. At first I just took it lightly like stop self hate to yourself, but when you provide those question about "where this come from, when I start I believe I'm not good enough", at first I was like that's too deep, I'm not doing that, but to think again, how powerful and peace I will become to be deep with myself is beautiful❤️
Hard things always come to you how matter prepare and heal you are from something, but when you be deep with yourself, and hard things come again, you can took it lightly cz you already have that strong positive mindset of yourself❤️
Thank you! If people ask me what the most important thing I don't want to lose in my life, I would say youtube🤣sound funny but youtube helps me a lot to grow up, cz i don't have anyone else somehow..

It's lucky as I saw on social media. I really like your voice, smile and your experiences that shared here as well. I believe that we are good enough to develop ourselves. It's important we need to have belief we can do what we want❤❤

Thank you. I’ve been told, and I agree, that my negative self talk is where I’m stuck. I’ve been told several times to stop but this is the first time anyone has laid out how to stop. I took notes! Although I’m in tears about starting, (convinced that I’ll actually find out the negative talk is true) I will start doing. There’s hope for me (I hope 😬).
So thanks for laying this all out. It’s so kind of you to share this instead of teasing people with the idea and almost forcing people to buy your workbook to get results. Thanks for your efforts and kindness!

For someone who is just starting to re-create their life, would you suggest starting out with one of your earlier workbooks?
I have a lot of trouble with starting and remaining consistent; I’m resistant to change now. I’d like to change that first so I can love myself again. Any suggestions based on your experience? Thanks 😊. Duh, you already answered this. I’m sorry.

Thank you for the reminders. =)
Even though I'm 42 now and have made a lot of progress in this area, that feeling of not being good enough was hammered into me from when I was born. Knowing that, I have a long way to go, even though things are a lot better now. Whether it was from my parents, other family, "friends", school, society in general, rejection in the form of unrequited love..

Yeah I understand as a 39 year old female who experience childhood trauma from parents, family etc. I'm currently feeling awful because of my narcissistic childs father who constantly put me down then decided to have an affair with my enemy who was my ex best friend from school. I told me about how evil she was so he decided find her on Facebook and from there they hooked up😢
