    I've never wanted a healthy career as much as I do for Wemby. This guy has a chance to be the best ever.

      Same! Just shows who you are at your core.

  • @za5528
    @za5528 11 месяцев назад +11

    Some of those peak numbers maybe even understate it. In his last 30 games Wemby's statline per 36 min is better at some than what you said for his prime:
    29.3 points, 12.7 rebounds, 5.2 assists, 1.7 steals and 4.8 blocks with just 2.4 fouls
    49.2-36.4-83.1 shooting, 1.13 assist:turnover ratio, shooting 7 threes, getting to the line 7.1 times
    Rookies who are statistically great are usually inefficient, foul a lot especially for good defenders, and don't get much free throws. He's getting as many FTs as stars already and averaging 2x as many blocks as he does fouls!
    29-13-5 with 7 stocks a game with very little fouling on 49-36-83 shooting (and it's 39% in his last 20 games) is INSANE. And that's a realistic projection for him to be averaging next season, let alone in his peak. And imagine if he got an elite point guard to get him easier buckets and some 3pt snipers around him this offseason, he could realistically only improve just a little with a few more minutes and still be at 32-13-5 with 7 stocks a game as a 2nd year player

    When I first saw Victors highlights (very high on weed) I teared up and ran to find my wife telling her he’s the greatest basketball player of all time. He hadn’t even played his first game in the NBA at this time.

    I feel like he's going to get more assists than that. He's at 4.3 per 36 now, and his vision is getting every game. I'd say he's going to be just under 6.0 in his prime.

    • @thomaslequesne5475
      @thomaslequesne5475 11 месяцев назад +2

      We also have to take into account that 4.3 per 36 is with poor shooters around him. He might already be above 5 per 36 if he had good shooters on the team.

    This is like witnessing Wilt Chamberlain like when you watch him you don’t believe someone like him would exist of big man they could guard every single position that is that tall that big that the mobile data he’s probably realistically the best defender in the NBA and he’s a rookie he has more blocks than most teams he gets more steals then some superstar defenders when he’s weak his game is offensive game where he’s averaging almost 20 points a game on a bad team where he’s there obviously their best player and every team‘s gonna double team him with an organization that knows how to handle a superstar like this because they’ve had this twice before quite literally I think we could see the rebirth of the Spurs dynasty and this time I think it will even be more dominant because he’s already the best defender in the NBA. He’s better than Rudy, Gobert and I’m like Rudy Gobert he he could be one of the best offenses of players as well. When they get this kid some fire power around him like getting Trae Young would be good since wimpy so good at defense that he could cover up Trae Young’s flaws, or they could just wait and draft and just get another superstar in the draft.

    I don't think Wemby is going to be a big offensive player. I think he will be more like a slightly higher scoring Tim Duncan. Maybe averaging 22-25 points and just do all the little things right.
    But happy to be proven wrong. I just think when more players join the team even though he will get better as he ages; there will be more offensive options so his usage will go down but efficiency will go up.
    Probably like 8 assists and 10-14 rebounds, those would be pretty good career averages for a defensive juggernaut. I think his efficiency will be historic though if he ends up playing with someone that can throw up some lobs for him.

  • @thomaslequesne5475
    @thomaslequesne5475 11 месяцев назад

    I think you overestimate his scoring a bit. I don't think he'll ever average 35, 30 already seems quite high. However 30/13/5 while being the best defender in the league is already the goat.

      Consider the Minute restriction now. With more minutes He is not far away from 30 - as a Rookie!!

    • @michaelahurt
      @michaelahurt 11 месяцев назад

      @@Voggl242 It's less about minutes than shots. To get to 35 he'd need to take like 22 shots per game. He just doesn't seem wired that way.
