    is a “rip hump” present when looking from the back or front ? I seem to have a rib flare due to scoliosis - is that the same as a rib hump?

      yes! Right convexity in thoracic spine (dextroscoliosis of the dorsal spine)

    HI Yogaberry, Watched your video - and found it helpful - just had one question: When you said the side of the curve ? Is the Assumption that C of the scoliosis on the Right side ? or the Left ? When you are leading these exercises.

      Alexia Zupancic hmm difficult to imagine what you mean. Do you mean your left shoulder blade is sticking out and the left side of the back is rounder?

    so confused please clarify, right thoracic curve is meaning curving left while looking from the back? My curve is rounded to the left if looking from the back.

      it means that there is probably a "hump" on the right side. from the back the curve is outwards to the right.

    Hi, I have my left shoulder lower then right one. Last year I noticed difference in my ribs too. Left is much more positoned to left and right one also moved a little to the left part of body. I did x rays few years ago and they showed 7° curve. Do you think it worsned? I don't have back pain only neck pain. It seems like I have neck hump, my head is positined a little bit to a front. Beside causing pain I think it changes estetic look. Best regards, thank you 💝

      dextro means right so just double check your diagnosis!

      Prima Tenorio yes! This is a great one for dextroscoliosis provided that it’s in the upper spine.

      yes. This practice just has more of a focus on the thoracic part.

      That really depends on your specific case! I've seen big changes in people that had really significant curves but that's not guaranteed.

    Hello Ms yogaberry I haven’t really been diagnosed by any doctor on what type of scoliosis I have but my right shoulder blade sticks out more,would these exercises be good to reduce pain in my back and reduce the curve?

      I have the same right shoulderblade sticking out. I took off my shirt and photographed myself from the back - it clearly showed that my right shoulder was higher and my spine looked like convex on the right. Recently a chest X-ray confirmed the RHS thoracic bulge. I suggest at the very least do the self-photo/video (just looking in the mirror doesn't work because your brain is used to seeing your reflection as "normal".

    If you have a curve to the left do you just swap the chair to the right side and do everything on the opposite side?

      it depends. Sometimes there can be discomfort if it's something new that the body needs time to get used to.

      dextroscoliosis just means the curve is convex to the right!

      That could be a number of reasons but is really not acceptable so I would get it checked out by a health professional.

      It depends! At your age you have a good chance of improving your curve. They need to be targeted exercises for your curve pattern though!
