He’s polite, but he’s morally bullying people by showing them a narrow view of the problem to paint them into a corner. Eating meat is not wrong. At the base of the vegan religion is the idea of speciesism - that it is immoral for us to consume the products of animals because farming enslaves them. If you don’t accept that premise veganism doesn’t make sense. If you accept speciesism, you’re left in the difficult moral position that humans shouldn’t have pets, we shouldn’t protect food from rodents, we shouldn’t utilise 90% of the worlds surface. We shouldn’t build anything, as the process of construction causes the death on many small animals, as well as taking the natural habitat of birds and animals away. albert fish "look it up" you're the one making the claim, how about YOU list a source? there are very few plant foods that contain no protein, if any at all. if you get your same amount of daily calories from plants, it is phisiologically impossible to be protein deficient
iSal it's the truth. Very very few plant matter has complete proteins. You can eat all the incomplete protein you want, if it isn't complete it does nothing for you.
You're great at outreach, Ed. You ask such hard-hitting questions and yet remain chill. Beautiful to see. Hope I get to meet you one day and give you a big hug, brother. Peace.
"If I were to then I probably wouldn't to be able to swallow the food." That's the biggest problem....people these days are so not conscious on any level at all. How can you put something into your mouth that you are not aware of?? It's almost the same as drugs, you take a pill and you have no clue what it consists. You should always think on the very thing that you nourish yourself with otherwise that's not nourishment but mindless consumption. With all my respect to the ppl in the video.
Another great video, Ed! Thank you so much for spreading these powerful ideas. Also, I would love to see a post-screening Q&A video. Keep up the incredible work!
I really enjoyed having varying aspects of arguments side by side (sustainability, morality, nutritional) etc. and going back and forth almost like a journey through conversations. Ticked a lot off the list in such a short video. Less chance for the topic to deviate too. Loved this :)
Really fantastic, and so engaging. You have a gift speaking with the people--there seems to be no tension between you and the public, and it's wonderful to watch.

ED YOU ARE A PHENOMENONAL PERSON. I can feel your love, compassion, and respect for not only the animals but also for every person you talk to. You are making such a difference. You give me so much hope, and I'm building confidence to speak up to those around me with every video of yours I watch.
I tried but the lack of protein from not eating meat was putting my life in danger. Worst made up excuse ever.
Just how did he get the grades to go on to higher education?
albert fish "look it up" you're the one making the claim, how about YOU list a source? there are very few plant foods that contain no protein, if any at all. if you get your same amount of daily calories from plants, it is phisiologically impossible to be protein deficient
iSal false. Most plant matter has incomplete protein therefor has zero protein benefits for you.
Rob D riiiiiiiiiiight
iSal it's the truth. Very very few plant matter has complete proteins. You can eat all the incomplete protein you want, if it isn't complete it does nothing for you.
This video was nice with people who where more open and not angry🙂🥊💯
When he talked about Morphine on milk and cheese my brain just went 🤯🤯🤯
That's so logic :0
You're great at outreach, Ed. You ask such hard-hitting questions and yet remain chill. Beautiful to see. Hope I get to meet you one day and give you a big hug, brother. Peace.
Yes Ed!!! Love this video!
You are so articulate and respectful when conversing with people. I respect what you do. Thank you for being a voice for the animals.
With all my respect to the ppl in the video.
thank you! it is powerful to see you are talking live to ppl
"I could never give up cheese"
"Yeah, I don't feel like I'm addicted to cheese"
Can people please listen to themselves when they talk.
Really fantastic, and so engaging. You have a gift speaking with the people--there seems to be no tension between you and the public, and it's wonderful to watch.
keep doing a awesome work
I am still bad at debates. You do a wonderful job. This is very effective activism and you are truly inspiring. Thank you Ed!!
Great video and work, just keep up like that!!! 😆😊💪You are so inspiring person 💓
You are just amazing. The way you educate those people is just breathtaking!
I can't wait for Gordon Ramsay to walk in...
You have such a way with speaking to people Ed! Never condescending or confrontational but still firm with your reasoning and arguments.
I find it quite easy to donate to activists because not only do I now live a far healthier life the cost of buying animal products was so expensive so I'm better off financially as well. Anybody else notice the savings?
Dear Ed, I am eternally thankful for what you are doing for all life on earth. You are an absolutely great person and I admire your compassion and the fact that you are standing up and raising awareness for the voiceless, innocent unnecessarily slaughtered. You are brave, truly inspiring and you're a blessing to the movement. I don't often comment on RUclips but I want you to know that you are a truly kind and awesome person. Keep up the love, injustice cannot, and shall not last forever! You are a true inspiration to many. You're a hero.
Ed id like to donate via PayPal,is that possible?
+Adrian JONES that's very kind Adrian, thank you so much. I have a one-off donation option on my website :) thank you.

Hi Ed. Could you tell me what documentary you referenced in the video specifically? If there are any more that would be valuable I'd appreciate knowing about them as well. 😊
Sam Howl one of them is called Earthlings
Love it. Really appreciate your compassionate approach, and the grounded and effective attitude towards seeing immoral acts as bad things rather than seeing them done by "bad people". you've got some wonderful patience that sets an excellent example for people like me to set out to cultivate compassion in the world
Ed on fire!
The format is great. The cuts to the different people makes it very viewable. You are EXPERT at the Socratic method, and your tone is perfect!
It was the dairy industry that made me vegan.
Excellent. It was Earthlings that did it for me. Cowspiracy reinforced it when I slipped back for a while.
Thank you so much for all the wonderful activism you do.
nice work
Very good questions Ed and wonderful calm delivery
"I can't give up cheese" "I don't think I'm addicted to cheese" replace cheese with meat, alcohol, nicotine, heroin, whatever and you'll find whether or not the latter statement holds true ^^
I am impressed of how you know talking to people.
Thank you for all your work!
Is your tour coming to the Uni of Exeter?
should be!
This video was FANTASTIC. Thank you for documenting your experience. I just attended my first Anonymous demonstration in Nashville, TN (I am the organizer in this city) and watching you masterfully help others come to a vegan conclusion is so inspiring to me. Thank you, Ed.
Have you ever used the fact that all NATURAL omnivores/carnivores cannot get atherosclerosis and the fact that humans get it all of the time proves that they are indeed herbivores
I had to look that up. So interesting! National Center for Biotechnology Information has an article called "Twenty questions on atherosclerosis" that has some great info about this. Thanks for sharing this!
A big thank you to you and the others for doing this difficult but very worthy work.
Great job Ed and everyone else involved!
So good and productive how you talk to people - can't wait for more videos
"As nutritional as meat" ok.
I just recently found your videos after finishing the documentary 'Earthlings,' and they're sooo interesting. you're able to hold an argument very well without being hostile, and I really admire that. I feel the world definitely needs more people like you!
this is only my third day as a vegetarian, and I already feel so much better. not as anxious, depressed, or tired. I'm working my way towards a vegan lifestyle, but being in the military with limited options in the chow hall; it can sometimes be very difficult to avoid dairy products.
Skylar Wright Thats really really good to hear. If your interested i'll put some other videos below that are also very popular and good.

"i tried to change my protein sources and medically almost died"
im fucking screaming
I'd like to hold conversations like that too, but I'm afraid of dealing with people, who become abusive... You do that so well! And I'm absolutely glad that you show how to talk to people in such a gently way they can understand :)
FACT: Bears eat beets.
Dietary Fibre bears eat anything including human if they can... so what’s your point
Bears. Beets. Battlestar Galactica .
MICHAEEEEEEEEL
Time to make the bears go vegan, right?
It's a reference you idiots
EPIC video
You are doing such good work. Keep informing people and thank you!
3:17 min!!!! omg good jooooooob 👏👏👏👏
thumbandindex yes I was about to comment on that too. She is a kind, open, intelligent human being. She needs to know that!!! Of course great job Ed!!! But her openness... Sometimes you need things like this to restore your faith in humanity.
thumbandindex
She’s wonderful. We need more people like her.
Great one again Ed, you had some great discussions there and you did it with respect. You're teaching the people and not shaming or bulling them.
God I wish I could do what you do
