Love Donnington, i recall 20+ years back taking all my mates on a 600 when they were all on 900/1000's it's all about the corners, great vid. Pick up my new 950 Hyper RVE in 2 weeks, yeeks.
I've never ridden Donny, but is on my list cos I love the fast flowing Ss. You looked like you were toying with him. He def wasn't trail braking into those slower corners and you seem to make up yards on him almost every corner eh Mr Trail braking beast!
Thanks.. Donny is all about flow and smoothness and getting your exit right for the next corners.. the trailing braking certainly helps pull the bike to the apex and scrub off speed
Something I have noticed in your vids is that the other riders seem to be crossed-up. They have their knee down but their head over the console - maybe that's the style there, but I thought heads went outside the mirror and outside arm drapes the tank (although I'm no expert - to say the least).
I noticed that too.. its like a British Superbike Style and rely on more lean angle with slick tyres.. very rare you get true motogp body positioning 😂
You were really up in his rear end... what's the reason he was faster in the straights? i thought the engine size was the same between you two, or am I missing something? Nice vid btw!
The general rule is overtake on inside providing you are up and alongside so rider knows you are there i.e no dive bombing. Overtakes on outside are ok but need to be mindful when both heading for the same exit point on track further ahead..
Chasing these faster bikes is when you start thinking of flashing the ECU Getting rid of the catalytic converter, open up the airbox And just try to squeeze some more power out of the stock engine.
@@hypermotardking perfect conditions that day. I treat Craners with utmost caution…. But front end felt super planted that day. There were still guys passing me down there 😳
This is a 1199. Pause the video on 3:55 and you will notice the one sided swingarm and the iconil tail lights of the 1199 that differ slightly of those of the 1299. Also the guy in the Panigale endures much more physical pain than you, but you don't have the engine that the Panigale has. It would have been more fair to race in same bikes.
I think the point was to showcase we don’t need crazy 1000+cc bikes.. its more about trusting the bike because you feel relaxed - something V-Twin Panigale riders never feel 😂😂
@@hypermotardking Panigale riders don't buy their Panigale because they want to feel relaxed. It's a superbike. That's not it's purpose. On the contrary, hypermotard riders never feel the raw power of a ballistic missile like the Panigale.
Pannigale 2? or 4? I wondeer if he was holding you up enough in the tight sections that you could have got away from him early on? I hate it so much when someone wont let me past and its not a race or anything just ego to not let someone by Happens all the time in the canyons it like "seriously dude? Just let faster by! I will let anyone by that keeps getting on my tail cause obviously they are faster what is the point of taking away from their ride?
You took him in the turns, he had you on the straights and you still managed to win. Great driving 👍
Cheers.. was good fun 👍🏻👍🏻
Amazing! Love that you added comment, made it much more intense for me.
Thanks for letting us participate in that experience ❤️👍
No worries.. glad you came and joined me for the ride 🤘🏼
The added comments were great so made you feel more part of the thrill 💯
Really enjoying your videos on track, very impressive, find myself moving my head while watching lol lol thanks again, take care. 😊😊😊😊👍🏻
😂😂.. thats always a good sign im doing something right on the bike 👍🏻

Awesome and congrats.. Doni is my favourite track and can now match my best time on the Hyper against my R1 1:48 👍🏻
That looks like a fast track! Keeping up with the big boys
Well trying.. the true fast boys are easy doing an extra 30mph more down the straights..
Got him in the end Kal great watching it and great day catching up with you 👍
Cheers David 👍🏻👍🏻

Yeah.. weird isn’t it.. think there is a stigmatism of “getting your knee down” but I rarely do
Nice riding...looking to pickup one of these bikes, and great info on your videos
Thanks.. get one asap, they are such a hoot 🤘🏼
Great footage, great riding 👌🏼
Thanks 👍🏻👍🏻
Thats a chase and a half, relentless pursue
Was good fun..
Just got mine Saturday 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤
Congrats.. 👏👏
Epic battle!
Thanks 👍🏻👍🏻
Great job, I do lots of track days on my 701SM and it is great to pass faster bikes in the twisty bits. Really annoys people.....which is too fun😁
Yes 🤘🏼🤘🏼.. bikes are all about the corners because anyone can ride fast in a straight line 😂😂
very good ride....nice to see.....I love it..... 👍😉
Thanks 👍🏻👍🏻🤛🏼🤛🏼

Thanks.. its probably gearing (sprockets) and higher rev limits.. similar engines just tuned differently
The panigale is a completely different engine with a lot more power
And aero
I like this, Hypermotard ftw!
Thanks 👍🏻
Thanks
Great ride, was willing you on. pick mine up at xmas
Thanks and congrats - such a great bike once dialled in
geiles video, hab auch eine hyper rve bestellt👍👍👍
Schön.. das sind tolle Fahrräder 👍🏻
Guessing overtake only on outside into corners rules?

Thanks Mate 🤘🏼
Thanks mate 👍🏻
Great skills man 👌
Thanks 🤛🏼🤛🏼
What tires did you run?
I run Avon 3D Xtremes

Possible next steps.. just need to be wary of noise limits as there aren’t many loud (108db) track days here in UK..
Was this the final session?
Yes.. the best session 👍🏻
I was at this TD. You could easily carry 20mph more down Craners.
Yeah.. a bit more speed for sure if I changed up to 5th.. plenty to test/try next time out 👍🏻
Tidy lines 😊👍
Maybe not 20mph.. probably another 5-10 😂😂

Was this the novice group. The bike looks like a 1199
This was Inters.. but on any other non-ducati trackday it would probably be novice 😂😂
Intermediate.. surely a 1199 would kill me on straights more than a 899/959?

one toth smaller on the rear me thinks
I was going to drop a tooth on the front
got a nerve wrecking stiff neck now !

Agree.. its also safer and you can learn from the faster rider with lines/positioning. That Pani had the underbelly exhausts like on the 899/1299.. ?
