- The first of Ducati UK Trackdays on 17th May 2022 at Donington Park. This was hosted by MSV and was a LOUD un-silenced, no noise limits, bring the loudest Ducati you got and have some fun.
It was superbly run by Ducati UK with complimentary Breakfast and Lunch, Ducati Stalls and Merchandise with Demo bikes which could all be tested.
It was my first time back after having the suspension re-worked by Sunni from SW Suspension and alongside new tyres the bikes was awesome.. never missed a beat and kept up with the larger V4s in the Intermediate group.
Can't wait for the next one at Silverstone June 2022.

@@hypermotardking is track setup usually dependant on rider height/weight or is there more to it? What PSI do you have your tyres and do you think you could ride like this with a regular hyper?
@@johnszandala3280 rider weight/height.. correct spring rates.. adjustable suspension.. tyre pressures.. tyres temperatures.. tyre warmers.. reduced weight.. less rotational mass.. race brake pads.. better calipers.. and then rider skill. I run 34 psi front and 25 psi hot slick tyre temperatures and around 32/28 on treaded sport/track tyres

Great video. Nice to meet you yesterday in the garage. Good footage of me on the 996 towards the end. I can see my body positioning has gotten lazy in the 3 years I’ve been off track. Hope to see you around the paddock soon.
I tbought your positioning on the bike was fine.. change a few lines on the track and your easy fast group 👍🏻
@@hypermotardking cheers mate. I’ve had my foot half in the fast group for a while. Oulton and Cadwell I’m in the fast group, but for some reason I’ve never made it to Donington, so thought I’d go inters. Are you doing any more anytime soon? Oulton would suit your bike.

This or Brands Hatch is one of the best in the UK - WSBK use Donington and their pace is next level

Depending on UK track i tend to mix it between advanced or inters
I only managed the 1st session before my SFS pissed it's self. Then I managed to Rob a 950 supersport from 2nd to 6th session 😎

How is it that you're so much better in the braking zone than them? Surely a V4S does not have crap brakes? Is it your nerve or the Hyper's brakes (or both)
I’ve upgraded my brakes to same Stylema Calipers and running track focused Brembo Z04 pads which means I can brake super late and proper hard with the L-Twin engine braking thrown in it scubs off speed in a short distance 🤘🏼
I thought the same but I guess it's a lot of bike to put in the litter.

No because I had the suspension changed and adjusted to my rider weight and riding style - check out my previous video, explains all
@@hypermotardking yeah saw those, dont have ohlins on my RVE gonna do a suspension check later on this year. Still need to do some other add-ons on my bike. Its getting expensive :D

For this track day/rider, yes I needed to be in fast group - I weren’t expecting it to be this much slower than normal trackday pace

100%.. certain type of retired middle aged old man pot belly with disposable income wanting to look cool but not go fast at all is the general vibe of a Ducati owner these days 😭😭
