I’ve never been able to afford a Ducati but I will one day, absolutely love everything about them. Supported them since I was small and I sat on my dads Ducati
People say they can't afford em, yeah thats fair. But also I picked up my 2001 Ducati ST2 for $1800. Some of my favorite ones are under $3500. I like that older generation, less electronics but still fuel injected. Keep your eyes peeled you got this! Mines on my channel if you want to give it a look!
You wont be disappointed. :)
To be honest with you, ducati is not much more expensive than the standard Japanese bike. I've seen 1099 and 999 go for 6 to 8k depending on condition. But let me warn you. Once you ride a ducati, you won't want anything else.
@@nando03012009 Guess it depends where you're located, i specifically want the 1299 panigale which is going up in value all the time now, yeah the 999 and 1099 are cheaper tbf. 100% agree with riding, spent a good portion of my life riding my dads ducatis, just cant afford my own :L
Sound like you want the "Holy Grail" It isn't. But depending on what model you want it will fill in your needs. You can find a nice one starting from €1500-2000.
I own a Ducati 750GT since 1973. It is now decorating my living room after my retirement. After 156000 Km it is still in showroom-condition.
You wouldn't be interested in letting someone else purchase and ride that beautiful bike again? I'm pretty sure she would rather be at the weekend track than the living room.
You should put up a video of it.
Ive bought 4 different monsters, M750, S4, S2R, S4R; and a brand new Streetfighter V4. I loved them all. Good job everyone. Absolute fun!
Ducati,Ducati,Ducati, forever I had 748 for 7 years 1198 S for 11 years ! It’s all about Love. Nothing I mean nothing sounds like Ducati!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
It’s a fabulous sound!
Where are the classic Ducati's?! You only owned those horribly modern ones. Go buy a 1970's Ducati, too! Bet you are such a kid, who has no idea. First go to Italy and ride your own bike, from Rome to Sicilia. Do it, or you will always regret it. Take 3 months at least.
@@cryhavocproductions2507 Do you have any idea what MAKES that sound? Like desmo, compression ratio, type of inlet filter, piston size? Most average Joe's have no idea what they own.
@@voornaam3191 damn ur elitist
Like he said,”There has to be something vaguely irrational about your relationship with your bike.”.
That Hypermotard was just gorgeous.
My GT1000 Sport Classic is at 80,000 km and still strong and everything works. A genuine retro classic, it not only looks but really does feel like and remind me of my 750GT that I sold in 1979. I will be keeping it (but no racing this one).
I’ve owned around 70 motorcycles over some 50 years including seven Ducatis. Not only are they great surefooted things to ride but there is something special about building one and maintaining it all yourself. More than a bike. A love affair.
I rode a 1976 900ss for about 9 years. Oh how I wished I still owned that wonderful bike.
Even at 68yo I bet I could still punt that thing like crazy.

Motorcycle anything!! The more mfg's in operation, the more products for us 2 wheel enthusiasts to choose from and the push for better products due to competition helps the buyers too. Love em all with 2 wheels!!🏍
Loved this documentary of ducati! I've been a Japanese Sport Bike rider/owner since my first days of riding a honda 50cc. Years later graduating to the 954RR and Yamahas R1's. Of most recent times I had a 22 BMW S1000RR M SPORT which is an amazing bike . Unfortunately I had to get rid of it but having done that it opened the door to me getting a Ducati 1199. I'm still ironing out the details of the financial aspects but I am eager and excited about my new Ducati and becoming part of the Ducati family.
I’m proudly part of that family for the first time and I’m in love…. DucaPower all day.. ❤️❤️❤️
Welcome to the Ducati family!
@@cryhavocproductions2507 thank you my friend ride safe 🤘🏻😎
Beautiful ladies assembling beautiful bikes. Sold.
Great documentary, sadly almost ignoring possibly Ducati’s most successful race bike, the rather beautiful 999.
Got a bright red Panigale with bits of carbon. Makes my heart flutter every time I take the cover off. Every time. My Hondas never did that. Just one example the stand is a shapely machined bit of aluminium. My last Honda was steel pipe with a spring and a plate welded on.
The sound gives me emotion. I have a ST4 and a TT2 replica with very illegal open pipes.i send love and kind regards to the whole biking community
I'm back to driving a motorcycle after 25 years, just bought me a 2005 Monster SR2 800.
Ducati was my dream all the time I never had it and I bought the 2022 v4 panigale for my son in New port beach Ducati…
What the bike 😀😀😀
He is really so happy about Ducati I love it to
Grande grande lavoro detto da un cittadino italiano che vive in Los Angeles ciao ragazzi grazie grazie per la bellissima Ducati
What a brilliant gift for your son!
I understand the passion!!!! I have a 1098s and for me its the best bike i had, its a sexy and power full bike!!! I love Ducati
Very proud to own a ducati...best bike in the world my own opinion...awesome video totally enjoyed 👍👍👍
Thanks for watching!
I’ve road Ducati most of my life Norton was my first when I was 17 next bike was a Ducati now own 8 Ducati’s and still have my Norton love love this video keep it up I can’t get enough 👍
Still have my multistrada 1000S what a wonderful and fun bike, so much underrated, almost a 20 years old bike that still work insanely good, thank you Mr terblanche
I came from the Philippines no hatred guys both of them are great manufacturers and engineers they created the bike not just competence but they built it with their creativity and passion
I ran my 1981 first series 600 SL Pantah for +100.000 km with no break-down, but weekly care like cleaning the Dellorto float chambers (open intake).
Careful warming up and otherwise race her.
Retired in 1994, engine dismantled and refurbished. Only the piston rings were beyond limits and one camshaft had minor wear.
If well taken care, similar to a race bike, even these old Ducatis are proven reliable.
The Pantah is still in my garage, next to a Panigale 1299S, the last of the 2-cylinder race bikes.
They are pure joy to have, a dream come true. They do nothing wrong!!!!
1098 for me. That sound
Another great historical presentation of this awesome company. What year was this documentary released?
I thoroughly enjoyed this documentary. I loved seeing the bikes getting built in the factory. I was surprised at the number of women working on the assembly line. Very cool.
Out of all the bikes they've made the 1098 evo is the most beautiful bike they've built.
SLV4 entered the chat
I love my 1098
The Tricolore 1098
916 or 998R
Yes the tricolor is a visual and mechanical masterpiece.
They won those 90s championships because of the capacity and weight advantage. When Honda got pissed off and built their own V2 1000cc, they pissed on the Ducati.
1098s / ohlins, marchesini, brembo!!! I love my bike!!!😊
Damn. The shade that one guy working for Ducati throws at Japan is palpable. I think Ducati is salty because it sounds like Japan was not very respectful when Ducati came into their home and beat them. I need to go find a documentary on that race. Love the drama.
I've joined the fam via an "entry level" M 797. Having had a Lemans and VTR 1000 previously, the motor was disappointing because of the EU 5 compliant lean fuelling causing horrible throttle response, very jerky. Not Duc's fault. Having fitted K&N filter, ShiftTec cat delete shorty and Rexxer flash, plus plugged secondary air, it's bloody brilliant. I did include the dB killer, (it was too loud), it sounds fantastic too.
Very enjoyable documentary, very well done. Interesting to see so many non-Italians in senior positions these days, also.
I'm getting one, looking at a air oil cooled monster 🏁 possibly the fattest note I've ever heard...fantastico🎶🎵
Go for it!
My first bike at 15 was a 125 Ducati Bronco - thought I was in heaven!
57:45 perfectly said! Love the Italian Philosophy and Passion!! Love Ducati ;-)
So much passion!
I absolutely love Ducati's, My dream is to own one of these beauty's?
I had a 1976 350 pantah in Tokyo. It was amazing!
1976 Pantah ? Never ever!
The 350cc single was legend
So far I'm at 8 minutes. All I've heard is how great Ducati is.
I'm about to turn this off, I came to get educated not how great the bike is 8 min different ways. Goodness
Great documentary 😅
Heaven on two wheels .....DUCATI.
We Love you !!!!! ducati
Ducati like to Marriage your First Love.
The Bikes are Sensitive Divas with look of a Godess.
The Engine Sounds an Orchestra to Play Wonderful Music.
As i Start to Ride Motorcycle, my First Bike was an Hypermotard from 2007.
Later came a 1198 Panigale to Ride Spotive and a Multistrada for Travelling.
In the course of Time a Diavel and a Panigale V4R were added.
All these Beautiful Bike still in my Garage.
Interesting but there wasn't that much detail about the actual history of Ducati as a business and the progression of their bikes. It was more of a commercial that other "The History of...." motorcycle manufacturers docu-things I've watched
Flash of genius
Great video!!
A Ducati to me , must be red, in color!
And must have that single sided swing-arm,
And a dry clutch!!
Great bikes but that dry clutch rattle takes some getting used to. I've owned two in the past, both fantastic machines but to be completely honest i prefer the Aprilia tuono to any Ducati.
I. LOVE. YOU. MOTOR. DUCATI
Nice to look at but it's a shame that Ducati is ashamed to name the Ducati ST in this history report.
It's a totally underrated SportTour bike, that’s built on the base frame of the Ducati 888!
The ST-range are fantastic machines. They simply didn’t fit in the context of the program.
@@cryhavocproductions2507 Thank you for your response.
I know how the situation was at that time when the ST series is made.
No matter how much history videos Ducati makes, the ST series is never mentioned in it! Even in the Ducati museum “where I have been twice” there is no ST model to see, there not even a photo! It's just like the ST series have never existed!
Personally I think it's a shame that Ducati does this.
Tschau 👋🏻👋🏻
@@cryhavocproductions2507 , what do you mean?
@@captainamerica9353 I mean exactly what I have described above sir!
@@DucatiST3sSpeciale , well if the context of the program is a history of Ducati, why wouldn't the ST's be included?
It’s funny to me that they characterize the Japanese manufacturers as devoid of passion…that they are a bunch of automatons(robots) pumping out fast bikes. Passion is a big buzz word at Ducati like no one else had it…interesting !
Yes. I'm not sure they are right about that.
I honestly miss my 2 Ducati’s I had the Ducati 749 and 900ss
I have SS900IE, 22 years old, and I will never give it away. Once I'll cannot ride it, I'll put it into my home.
God should give a ducati to everyone that loves them.
Amen to that!🙏
Don’t forget to add the free repair and maintenance options!🥴
And a tool kit so he or she keeps believing in God.
@@tiborsz9939God bless your 😇! Nobody gives free repair, neither the harley can nor the japanese poor grom, why the best manufacturer of the world should do it ?! 🤔🙂
@@8r0o8knope, unlike amazingly manufactured brand new harleys having oil failure after 10 miles run or japanese brand new craps with their multiple ENGINE ( read well, you envious "expert" ) failures Ducati don't provide a tool kit, there's no need of it, unless a genius with your same " mechanical attitude" thinks he's riding one of the two first breaking jokes above said ! 😂🤣
Sport classic 1000 the best bike ever
I own three motorcycles now all Ducatis, I've owned other motorcycles; Honda CBX, Yahama FJ1000, FZr1000, YZf1000, all great motorcycles. Now I have; 1997 916 (bought new), 2008 1098r, 2003 St4s. I am happy.
Terrific stable of machines

Just love the sound of Vee Twin Ducatis.
It’s a glorious sound
I'll NEVER sell my 1198s - best bike I've ever owned. Well, unless a 1098R drops into my lap 😂
❤Ducati
I would visit the factory just to see the "ragazza carina" at 39:14 to 39:17 !! I wonder if she is still working there.
She does, but she is now 79 and now cleans the toilets.
@@philhawley1219 , funny, but I bet she's in her 40's and still smoking hot.
To all of You watching this I ask a question: Who/What was the DIOC(Ducati International Owners Club)? I wrote for them, researched every shop in America that sold, repaired, race-prepped, collected All Italian motorbikes. We @DIOC published this list so no matter where a Ducatisti found themselves in need they could continue. Pro Italia? Too Little/Too Late(my first Ducati? Diana 250 in 1967, my last a 750F1 in 1990). “Keep the Shiny Side Up”
The man talk about japanese is like a boxer that malign the opponent, but can't win the fight 😂😂😂, If Ducati is better, ask Valentino Rossi about it😂😂😂
What year was this video produced? Does anybody know?

Very pretty perhaps the prettiest motorcycles made unfortunately I’m not willing to pay that much money for a motorcycle so I’ll stick with my R1 😎
Seen a hot r6... up there with best sounding bike I've heard...

Why don’t they make fuel gauges in Italy?
Ducati “we are the best sport bike manufacturer”
848, 1098 and 1198 rod bearings: you what mate?
Not a documentary, more like an advert.
Center tank air scoop kinda thing ?
Bueno...
Why is it necessary to attack the japanese manufacturers? Like you can point out your virtues without discrediting the competence, it is more classy to do it that way.
I did not see it as an attack at all
You should ask the same to the many 1way blind clueless biasing "experts" ( mostly from USA) who can't hold the Ducati supremacy of last years and spell their garbage about Italian manufacturers daily ...!
Because they know the Japanese WILL start every time.
I loved riding my Ducati, the times it would start.
Honda you don't need to worry about anything else other than keeping fuel in the tank.
Yes, it's true the desmo dry clutch sounds amazing, is it worth the hassle? Fukc no.
@@zefautino wanna know why they attack the jap brands ? Just take a look at your own comment : pointless, ridiculous & so childish . The japanese groms used to start yrs ago, average stuff nothing that amazing for average bikers with no pretension , too bad they dont do it anymore since last decade ! Honda I'd rather walk than wasting money in hospice stuff : brand new engines having even two / three times row the same issue though the bike got yet recalled to factory, I mean after only 200 miles made ! 😨😡 If that's not building utter crap I dont know what else is... Ducati more expensive but if you can afford you've got the best bike in da world with the best performances and the best Top quality on market, there's really no comparison by true facts , that's if any has a bit of knowledge about mechanics and bikes...🤫😗

No mention of 916 Senna ?
Nothing beats the sound of a Ducati, few beats the looks of an Aprilia, but at the end of the day, my hard earned money goes towards reliability and price. Value for my money. My very 1st Ducati I took out on a test ride, stalled because of a switch problem, my second one had starting problems. That's when I said: farewell Ducati. I now wait for the 2024 Kawasaki's to arrive in NZ. You want reliability, buy Japanese. Period. I was a Yamaha fan all my live but they have fallen behind currently for what I want. FYI. Yamaha=11% failure, Honda & Suzuki=12%, Kawasaki=15%, Ducati=33% failure. Also Harley Davidson and Triumph has better reliability than Ducati. Buying a Ducati is in the same class of the McLaren. Sounds and look gr8 but not reliable at all. I am going on a coastal tour in March in NZ, =2800km app . can you trust a Ducati, I certainly cannot.
Remember having a picture of the 916 in my wallet like 20+ years ago :)
A stunning machine worthy of pictures in wallets or posters over a bed
This documentary is from 20+ years ago, too! 🤣🤣🤣
A very obvious Promo production with a lot of half-truth's and plain lies. In the beginning Ducati's just weren't very reliable. Ducati made some very bad lemons in the days. They just hung in there. Remarkable and thumbs up! They didn't have very high and even absent production and quality standards. Probably due to lack of funds. They broke down more than you and certainly they would like. Fixing them was another challenge because not every bike from same type and year was built the same way. If the red wire was out they used blue 🤨Poor documentation. They just couldn't keep up with the Big Four. Not on the track and not on the road. It's a miracle they survived. There were times that Ducati escaped bankruptcy. The British Industry didn't.( BSA, Triumph, Matchless, Vincent, Ariel) Their strength was and still is being different in sound, looks and experience . They never were gamechangers like the Big Four did several times starting in the 60's with the Cub, 750 Four, Z1 , Goldwing, Pan European, Honda Helix and so on. The Big Four totally wiped out the pre- existing dominating British, German, American and Italian competition. With reason.. Simply by making affordable reliable motorcycles. It took decades to partially recover from that blow. David versus Goliath. At a certain point they could only keep track and even win Superbike by allowing Ducati to race against 750cc Big Four competition with their 1000cc and later even bigger engines. Along with increased prosperity among mainly First World customers who wanted to fill in their needs ( induced by successful marketing) to own a more expensive, exclusive upmarket bike same as HD, BMW, Triumph, KTM are doing . Just as Apple, Tesla, Gucci and the likes are accommodating those wannabe needs. Nowadays Ducati is owned by VAG and they have enough financial support to enable them to fill in that role. Even lead MotoGP!.

Don't get me wrong. I love Ducati .I'm glad they are still there. I own an MTS 1200S. Before that a, by the masses , very underappreciated ST3. Very fine ride. ( But that one has some very Ducati-like issues. Battery placement was an afterthought. The faring has to come off replacing it😝 Fairing ? getting off is easy, the struggle begins when trying to get it back on 😝 ) I'm not fine when needing a computer and special software to service my bike. Which is mandatory both with the ST3 and the MTS. Same thing with the R 1200GS I still own, but it's for sale now. Very nice ride and looks also .But has it's own quality issues. ( ABS pump, drive shaft, going bad way too soon.
Very, very expensive)
But my advice still is as it was back then in the sixties. Go to the Big Four if you want performance, looks reliability and affordability. If you can afford to pay much more to set yourself apart and think it's worth it? Follow your heart and not your brain.

Mr delorean
I have just read many of the comments below. I don't speak Italian but I do ride an old bevel V. Most of the following comments are illiterate gibberish. If you wish to write about some of the finest bikes ever please try to use simple English, unless your name is Taglioni
Taglioni was a master and doesn’t receive nearly the credit he deserves today. Without him does Ducati evolve into what it is today? Doubtful…
