Hell nah
TheStraightPipes why were you out of focus yuri 😭
TheStraightPipes an idea...can you do a review, but have it be recording from first impressions while reviewing it to get that un-edited real reaction to it?
Who cares?? You can see they are changing the name of their performance cars!
Apparently the new one 2020 will have higher numbers similar to other 3.0 turbo Ford's...
For this price and power this is just an edge sport replacement, carry over year.
That fake engine noise sounds like something is broken. Weird
Yeah its not good
Vw gti makes the best fake engine noise and I love it.
They have a sound symposer in the focus st and we typically delete it myself included it sounds alright but the edge st symposer sounds terrible
@@isabelle.c011 Most quiet modern cars have symposers
TheStraightPipes I don’t want my wife to know that I’m flooring it-keep it quiet!
Angry moms will enjoy driving this “Super Car”
I saw one of these in blue the other day with black wheels. It looked sharp. Maybe I'm prejudice, as I own a Mustang V-6. I'm leery of the ecoboost engine though.
You’re so right!
A Stanton1966 Leary due to reliability? I’ve driven a few diff EB fords they are impressive a lot like a diesel with instant torque but still rev out. I actually want a EB Mustang. They cost more to repair though, all that boost plumbing adds a lot of man hours to repair work. Look at the difference in repairing a head gasket on a HEMI vs a 3.5 EB for example. Ouch!
I'm leary of the ecoboost due to the turbo and, on some trucks, the use of a plastic oil pan and drain plug. I don't know if the EB uses this oil pan. I know the GT and Shelby does and for this reason I won't upgrade to a GT. I've heard cases where the pan doesn't give a good seal and leaks oil. I like the looks of the Challengers and Chargers, however, I'm leary of their electronics. Everything goes through that info center, even the heated seats and fan speeds. For now I'll keep my V-6 Mustang.
So much tailgating
Bro this is the ONLY car (and horse) review channel I can truly say is “Great”. The camera shots, audio, and in depth descriptions of vehicles is PERFECT. The thumbnails? THE BEST. Straight Pipes sets the bar for how car reviews should be. Music isn’t annoying, it’s not louder than the dialogue, there isn’t super corny intros, they get straight into it. AND they talk about it from the point of view of an everyday Joe. Not all have a racetrack to our disposal everyday **cough** Top Gear **cough**. You guys deserve wayyyyyyyyy more subs than all those other “car review” channels.
Ryan C. Thanks. That’s exactly what we’re going for one 100%. Jakub pin this guys comment for me. *emotional*
Yuri Tereshyn wow thanks **emotional** car comments **GONE RIGHT**
totally agree

Im sorry, but FORD makes some dull ass interiors
Nad3 most american comapines do tbh, other than cadillac and shit
Nad3 everything is easy to use as well
I think that this interior looks OLDER rather than newer! It looks like an older Ford interior to me! (Not the good way, either.)
Mark of Excellence it has all the new technology and is easy to use,but the design is older
Sadly, Subaru is worse.
"Dads who wants to drive faster than their brother-law" LMAO🤣
I am 17 and just bought a 2015 😭😭😭
@@cheezysimmons3701 why the fuck
Having owned a 2016 Edge Sport for the last two years I can say that for the money it is reasonable value. It is comfortable and quiet on the highway. Has enough power and torque to carry four people with a full load of luggage and easily can haul ass in any passing manoeuvre. Fully loaded editions have the safety and convenience features that most people want. Yes a European competitor is probably a better vehicle to drive but outfit them with the same options and you are 20 K apart. It is an SUV and yes you do sit higher up but handling is very good and easy to precisely pick a line while driving. The ST is an evolved step up from the Sport with the bigger brakes, more power and torque, more bolstering on the seats. I’m guessing most people will never use paddle shifters any so leaving the transmission in auto mode will do fine.
This is a niche vehicle for people who want that punch of V6 torque with a sporty style that can still do family duties. If you are shopping Audi SQ5, BMW X3M40i or GLC AMG 43 you are not comparing apples to apples.
I agree with you 100%. Love this thing and it’s in a class of its own. Own a 2011 sport now and I love it
@@MarvFitBikesKicks the 2011s are BADASS with those 22s!! Never get rid of it, they are RARE and a true well built old Ford!
Thx for your comments I was thinking of buying a Ford Edge and this review was to picky for me to get a good review on the vehicle.
just got me a 2015 sport edge with all the features i love it hoping it lasts me a long time has 100k. crazy i went from driving a 27 year old truck to this
How many mile is your car? I am going to buy Edge and hope it will last long at least 200k miles without any issue.
It’s snowing. I’m on call but the Straight Pipes dropping A Sunday morning review fixed all that! I can’t say that I’m a fan of the Edge. After seeing the Volvo XC 40 I can’t stop thinking I want that!
I've been dropping over the xc40 for months. Tempted

Finally the Straight Pipes using click-baitier titles. I hope this gets the amount of subscribers you deserve
The *Emotional* part is the only joke part
I watched the entire video closely. My wife and I both own FiST's and I was eager to hear about what this abomination of the ST line was all about.Great video like always, I agree it shouldn't wear the badge.
Anyways... The title is 100% legit. However, I do hope for many more subs!
Agreed! you guys need to go viral! clickbait every time - your fans aren’t going anywhere. we’re already here for your awesome reviews
Am I missing something? Title is pretty generic.
if they put a question mark at the end then it would be click bait
Subaru is so missing out by not bringing us Forester XT (compare to Ford ST), Forester STi (compare to Ford RS). And CrossTrek turbo.
I think there is a sti Forester coming out soon!
Jay Brown I would like to see that!! 😱
In pretty sure I saw a 2019 XT the other day it had red accents and it was a fun metallic gray
Not really ,since the sale of xt only make up small percentage of forester.
XT has been axed on all markets for now.
That fake engine audio is terrible. So really they just slapped aST badge on a sport.
same fake noise that the Fiesta ST, Focus ST and RS get.
@@Mogsy28uk Nah, the Focus ST had much more subtle "fake" sound, and it was actually real sound pumped through a symposer tube from the intake (even though it still sounds real fake). As a bonus, disabling the sound is as easy as unplugging the stupid little valve that controls it, or getting a $30 symposer delete kit.
and Performance Blue lmao
Everything sounds diff in person then on a device. Kid
When in doubt Braap_it out triggered much?
That thing looks ridiculous. Guess I'll never understand SUVs.
SUVs are nice when they aren’t imitating sports cars
@Rique cuvs are just hatch backs with awful performance and efficiency. The higher ride height is the only draw I can see. Full size suvs actually have a use.
but the german performance ones make some sense. This is just bad
Ford calls this an SUV but make no mistake, it is actually a crossover. And a crossover is simply a small minivan with forward hinged rear doors.
I’d be different and get something like.a Volvo Polestar wagon. EVERYONE has an SUV these days . So cookie cutter. Fiesta ST is my daily driver.
Am I the only person that hates the new gen Ford Edge?
No, you're not. They look bloated to me and they really found a way to devalue them ST badge. When Jakub said it reminded him of Mr. Bean, that's exactly the feeling. Ford sold it's soul wheen they axed all of their cars.
Toby Tong no - it looks outdated
The older edge sport looks better, no doubt.
I miss the light bar tail lights
Height and length are way out of proportion to width, looks "tippy."
Ford made a mistake getting rid of the focus RS & ST
they haven't got rid of those, new Focus MK4 ST is out in the autumn, globally. Granted they are about a year too late marketing/sales wise....18+ months after the MK4 launched, so a lot of customers have gone to other brands for hot hatches.
@@Mogsy28uk They got rid of them in the US. The rest of the world can continue getting their hot hatch on while America gets dumped on, by our own car company no less.
If people bought the Focus or Fiesta ST.. they'd still be selling them. People vote with their dollars, and their dollars are going to crossovers. Still available in other countries, so they can always bring them back if NA finally gets over this crossover thing.
@@rustlesee And the Focus ST wagon? Man, if that ever comes over here, it'd be, 'Crossover who?'
@@lego4virgo, seriously. A good wagon or hatch gets me double taking these days. The Focus Active promised a lot too. I need a truck for work, but it's nice to "window shop" on hatches.
Dad here who wants to beat his SIL onto the highway. I test drove one of these the first chance I got, and I have to agree with most of your critiques. The biggest problem is that transmission, and hopefully that's something they can fix in a later model year. Other than that, this car ticks a lot of boxes for me, I can put a two car seats in the back, dogs in the trunk, and tow a small camper all while still having a bit of fun in my daily. That being said, I didn't buy one. I already own a Focus ST and its hard to jump from a 20k car that was great, up to a 50k car that's just okay.
Man I am in the EXACT same position as you! I've owned a Focus ST going on 6 years now and love it to death, but would like something a little bigger. We only have one kid, but also have two big dogs, so this has been on my radar ever since it was announced. Might wait another year and pickup a lightly used but heavily discounted Stinger GT instead...
www.twitch.tv/cykamyarse
I can do the same with a lt1 powered t56 swapped Buick Roadmaster
Lol wagons are better then suv
@@freedom24v86 I love the Roadmaster as much as anyone, my high school friends and I used to goof around in that thing all the time, smokin up tires like cigarettes lmao but also, the car basically folded in half when my friend got t-boned in an intersection. The only argument I'd put forward in favor of a modern SUV over the Roadmaster is modern safety/build standards lol
@@theoblivion87 well moderen wagons exist hahah i was just using a road master as an example of a fun wagon
I personally hate suvs slow bad handling crap mpg
While wagons are more car based lower center of gravity list goes on why wagons are better and they can tow most of what youd need
I mean shit even all the old wagons sat around 4k-5k lbs towing capacity
And can be made into fun dailys
And honestly all cars fold like tacos when t boned
Look at what they did to my boy ...
Zaid Kidwai great movie
Pumping in fake sound makes sense in a Tesla, but in a "performance" suv? hmm I'm not digging it
6:14 lol
Actually Elon would fight you on that lol
Technically it’s not fake in that it’s still the sound from the engine. It’s just pumped in with a valve through the speakers
Fake sound for a Tesla would be an actual fake sound. They could make it sound like anything they want
I think it would be even stupider in a Tesla
There are so many things to hate this one.. plain exterior, cheap interior, disgusting infotainment, fake sound, slow gearbox, seating position, and ridiculous price tag. I'm not even gonna say more.
I actually really like the edge ST. I didn’t expect to. I test drove one, it handles great, a nice exhaust (from the OUTSIDE, i don’t like fake exhaust pumped in the speakers), and it’s really fast. Love the looks too.
I agree. I have a '17 Sport and I love it. Its fun to drive, has the perfect amount of cargo space, and has been insanely reliable. What's not to like?
So, in summation, an American commentary is that Ford did a half-ass job in putting this vehicle together.
A Canadian commentary is similar, the 2019 Ford Edge ST is half-baked. Canadians are so polite....
Great review guys! Come on Ford though, for a company that is abandoning cars to focus on SUVs and trucks, I am sure you can do better especially considering how old the Edge is. A new Edge in the near term I hope...
Jean-Francois They’ll figure out their mistake when gas prices go up again and nobody buys new SUV's
My wife has a black 16’ edge sport and it’s an amazing all around vehicle! Matches my 13’ Taurus SHO very well... Question. Why would you try to down shift again at redline and then say that the trans is bad when it won’t let you?
42k for an Edge? You must be out of your flippin' mind, Ford.
Just wait a year to get a used one for 32k lol, id love one have one
Lol that’s ridiculous. I’d buy a highlander at that price
For the saftey and tech inside which most reviews for some reason dont focus on, compared to competition it unfortunately is a bargain
Paul Jamieson you might want to watch the video again. It’s $49k Canadian. Ford is smoking crack or what they’re charging for this thing.
In Malaysia you get new myvi with low spec with that price 🤣
You guys thinking of reviewing a ford explorer ST?
Yeah
@@TheStraightPipes they did.
$56,000 CAD for an average crossover that generally just disappoints.
also its a ford lol
You can find titanium’s for half the price that are fully loaded lol
*tries downshifting at redline*
“It WoNt LeT mE sHifT”
Probably a good thing buddy.
great, now Hertz will have a car to put in their "performance" category!
The overly tall ride height is to appeal to crossover lovers who feel "unsafe" driving at a low (normal) ride height.
They'll say things like "Ohhh I feel intimidated by bigger cars." Cry me a river.
For some reason the back makes me think of the Pontiac Aztek
I thought the same.
looks an awful lot like the Habanero from GTA IV and V haha
www.twitch.tv/cykamyarse
the rear is terrible....
Nah, eclipse cross does it worse
You guys critique cars better than Gordon Ramsey critiques food. I love how honest you are on this one.
We should start swearing and throwing stuff
TheStraightPipes after watching his interview with Shaun Evans of hotOnes I was just thinking to myself you guys need more "sh*ts" in your videos . 😂😂😂😂
Well the Edge ST might be good for autocross
But it can never replace Fiesta ST and Focus ST/RS
why on earth do you think an edge st would be good for autocross?
Chrx x there was a track test and the handling is surprisingly good but it can’t Fiesta ST and Focus ST/RS
Aurocrossing this massive hunk of shit sounds like an awful idea
LOL I'm sure it's better than some other SUVs in terms of handling but probably not better than a smaller, lighter car.
Not worthy of the ST badge indeed. Both Ford STs always had several distinct elements to them that set them apart from their regular-trim counterparts.
1. A distinct lack of advanced driver assistance tech (Blind spot monitoring, Cross Traffic Alert, Auto Parking, Parking Sensors, etc). Stripping that away wouldn't've been hard to do either, and could've saved some cost to the sticker price. People who want to DRIVE the car do not want the tech trying to do their driving FOR them.
2. Manual Transmission only. The european Edge comes standard with a 6-speed, so doing this wouldn't've been that difficult. They could've at least put a dual-cluitch in it...
3. Performance Oriented Gearing. Both the Focus & Fiesta STs had shorter gearing overall, with 6th in the Focus ST cruising @ 100km/h @ 2200RPM. Still gets decent fuel economy when cruising, not so much when on the throttle, but, hey, at least it's fun to gun it when you are.
4. Highly Bolstered Seating, both at the thigh and torso areas. You already covered why the Edge ST doesn't have that.
5. The most real fake sound possible. On the Focus & Fiesta ST, Induction sound was pumped into the cabin via an actual tube with an electronically-controlled valve when you're on the throttle. It may have been artificially activated, but at least it was the real sound, and not this crap added via the regular speakers. It's that "throaty" sound that you talked about with the Focus ST.
Then, to think that they're going to make an Explorer ST...
"...people who used to buy the Grand Prix."
Subtly brilliant. 😂
How on earth was this SUV given the green light? The only good market for this thing are young 'hot hatch' guys that accidentally had a kid
Hot hatches already exist for Mustang guys that had a kid.
I have a 2018 Edge Sport with 16,360 miles on it... Love it, so far
Problem with this Edge ST(from what I figured from the video) is it's trying to do 2 different things at the same time. One, it is an SUV with at least mild off-road ability, driving kids and people around and going for long trips; there it kinda falls appart cuz seats arent comfortable, engine can sound gravelly and annoying, climate can be annoying. Then, as an ST, you want it to be able to haul lots of loads and do stuff sometimes quickly and enjoying it. However, not with that transmission, which would piss me personally off, then, again, that engine note in Sport mode... that gauge cluster looks subpar at best(compared to VWs for example). This SUV nails half of its' purpose in 2 different ways, but fails others halfs in 2 same ways...
Nobody and I mean nobody should ever use paddle shifters in anything but a high end sports car!
As an ST, being sporty is priority.
Good car or not, these "ST" subs are all bastardization of the name.
This is clearly a product of Ford's deep cost cutting. This Edge ST is a joke. Anyone is fare better off getting a HEMI Grand Cherokee. Not an SRT or a Trackhawk. Just a regular Grand Cherokee High Altitude would roast this. More capable, better infotainment, better seats, better looks, etc.
Ford half-assed this.
Yeah you better do some research. The Grand Cherokee with the Hemi does 0-60 in 6.6 seconds and the Edge ST does it in 5.2. I just looked it up.
Guys love your video and yes the edge ST is overpriced. Just get 2018 edge sport and save $10k. Also why didn’t ford used the newer 9-10 speed transmission.
What about the 9 speed it shares with the GM. The Buick 8 speed wasn’t smooth however 9 speed GM and Ford made is smooth
@@BassRacerx the 10-speed comes on many 4 wheel drive Ford vehicles....
@@BassRacerx i was replying to what was said above me saying it doesn't support 4x4.
I like this conflicted review, in regards to the "who is going to buy this?" it's not going to be pervious ST owners, for 42K I would rather buy a used Focus RS and spend 15K fixing it.
2018 Focus RS LE are still available in Canada and are marked down from $60K MSRP to $45-$47K. You'd be crazy to buy this ST badged minivan instead of an RS.
@@kevindust2712 New RS with an LSD would make me soooooo happy
So basically if you want an Edge, just get a Titanium.
Barobran92 escape has almost the same amount of room as the edge so the only trim that makes sense is the St
@@ALEX-sh3tx Except the Edge looks way better and is newer.
Watering down the ST brand one SUV at a time. I'm not looking forward to the eventual EcoSport ST.
I almost spit my coffee out after hearing the price. If for some reason you really like this car just wait 2-3 years for the value to drop 30%.
It’s almost 30-35k USD now. This aged well
this car makes me extremely sad
yeah i thought about it some more, this car just really bums me out

Great review guys. Hope Ford watches it and fixes the transmission. Automakers also need to give owners the option to turn off fake engine noise .
Yeah ,they fixed it on 2020 model year or the 2021 I am not sure

In 2019, Ford releases the Edge ST. In 2020 Ford discontinued the Edge ST because of sales.
And because of all the RUclips reviewers 😁
Alot of reviewers like them though

Nope....lotta failure here, but a lot of winning....like Trump....lots of Winn......never mind lol
Looking forward to the edge RS with a drift stick
I don't like the styling for this generation of the Edge. The shape just looks out of proportion to me - the nose is too long and it looks too tall and skinny. I would get a Durango with the 5.7 Hemi over the Edge. I think the Durango looks better, can tow more, RWD chassis and has a V8 - no need for fake exhaust sounds.
durango is out of this league tho
Durango competes with the Explorer right? The new Explorer is RWD again.
My Ford Transit connect cargo will beat any Demon at a red light, no bs.
Im very surprised you guys didn’t like the audio system. I absolutely love it. 800watts and no distortion at all volume levels. The old Sony systems were complete garbage though. Make sure you enable surround emulation though.
Any ford with the b&o is trash this like Bose home theater speakers all highs and mods but no bass what so ever he’ll my mom just got a 2023. Explorer king ranch and the sub was already blown within the first week and this is while professionally tuning the system if ford used the revel system 😍😍 they would have more buyers
@@explosivesgod2659 I agree its not a great system. I dont hate it but I definitely wish they used the revel system from the Lincolns in the ST models. The edge seems to sound better than the explorer with the B&O for some reason though. Might just be the speaker arrangement and cabin size.
Can people stop putting these stupid gear "leavers" in cars, that look like a volume control of my radio please?
It saves space. You don't need to use it much in an auto.

If ford isn’t gonna give me a real sport suv
Then at least try to fake it with a real gear selector
Yuri you got a hella nice fade
the price is just too high for a car with that many flaws. you can tell that ford tried to do something here- but it's just not enough. get a slightly used macan - if it has to be a similar car - and get far superior quality. the edge just isn't worth the money imo..
It’s sounds like a freaking weed whacker.
That interior looks like something from 2009
Definelty should not be a ST. Ford pricing is hilarious as well. Will not buy a Ford until they bring back the Fiesta ST. One of my all time favorite cars. The Edge is kinda junk. Really not a fan.
So the B&O sound system wasn't good? Strange given their reputation. My guess would be that they put the cheapest quality speakers they could get while still putting the B&O logo on?
It was really muffled at high volumes
@@TheStraightPipes That's weird. Thanks for the reply, love your channel
I love B&O, but they're just Philips electronics underneath. So the idea you've proposed, it wouldn't be impossible, they do their best work in European vehicles like Audi and Aston, so having a "less expensive" product in a Ford doesn't seem so far fetched.
@@TheStraightPipes Ford has a strange issue with that. But it's fixable, in the sound settings turn treble all the way up, turn mid up +2 and turn bass +4 and boom, night and day difference. Works wonders on my 2014 fusion
Yeah it sucks I'm my EcoSport also. The Sony I'm my escape is way better
I'd rather buy a Kona EV for that price! You guys have driven both; what would you choose?
@Throw Rowley the comparison is off (because the kona is much smaller) but korean cars (which aren't really build there - but whatever) made huge leaps forward in the last years. i'd actually take a hyundai/kia over a ford any day because they're just better and much better value...
@@OnfireProjects Agreed. I would buy a Hyundai or Kia over a Ford any day.
My next normal car will be an EV
Different buyers but I get it. You could even get a Model 3 midrange for this, at least that car knows what it is. This Edge ST is confused.
-TheManInDboX - I’m gonna do it
Sync 3 is one of the best. Not sure what you guys are taking about.
This is the review I've been waiting for. I own a 2015 kia optima sx turbo, and need to upgrade for space for my kids. My first choice is the stinger, it has the power and trunk space, but it's not an SUV which every wife seems to want. The other review I'm waiting for is the chevy blazer rs. Right now price wise, power wise, utility wise, and wife and kids happy wise, this vehicle really can't be beat.
Try explaining to your wife that a crossover (like the Edge) is really just a smaller minivan with front hinged rear doors. Enjoy your new Stinger GT.
Definitely wouldn't pick this over a tuscon or sportage
Seems to me if there was a critical test drive before launching this car they would fix most if not all of said issues. But this is a part bin car. They aim for the stats and a price and glue on parts that are already available in the Ford parts list.
It's a pity, because Ford used to make cars and ST and RS badges really meant something ...
Good looking car but I think it needs more power. 350hp should have been the minimum. 400 would have been ideal.
Charger, Corona, La Familia ! I agree. Should’ve used the 3.5 instead of 2.7
Ford has gone completely off the rails.
Should have left it manual
The exhaust looks weird
Being that Ford put an ST badge on this and an owner of a Fiesta ST I’m going to judge this hard. I hate it. An SUV shouldn’t be an ST, STLine would have made more sense. An ST should only be in manual transmission. Should be small and hot, like a hot hatch. I love what Ford was doing with the Fiesta and Focus ST, being only a hatch and only manual. Was great. Then they threw that all out the window and now it sucks.
kind of a bad SUV, not worth it.
It does have an odd place in the market. However, if you're wondering who might buy it, it'd be my wife and I who are looking to replace our Forester XT. Since Subaru is no longer be selling the turbo forester, the Edge ST is looking to be a really nice replacement.
That dash is so old looking...
Exactly what we have on international ranger
If it doesn't have a manual transmission, it is not an ST...
I absolutely despise ford for removing the Focus and Fiesta ST. I loved my Focus. Having the ST badge on a damn SUV just destroys the meaning of it entirely.
Great vid, worth the wait! I have owned only Fords and never liked the Edge. The Escape does everthing all right. Edge is just tacked on stuff way overpriced. Glad we still have Ford cars in Germany. My dad just ordered a 2019 Focus ST-Line. Looks cool but is more economic since he doesnt do any performance driving. There will be a "real" FocusST coming this year too in Europe and the new FiST is already available.
Am really surprised that the other two North American manufacturers have not started a marketing campaign touting the fact that they still make cars. Time to exploit this to their gain.
Chevy is doing the same thing. And Dodge is using the same platform for the 20th year running. Nothing to talk up
I want to say It does have direct competition with the Jeep Grand Cherokee trailhawk/SRT/trackhawk, but the jeeps are 2-10k more expensive.
Yes! I hope everyone hates this car so i can buy one cheap.
The Edge is a car for the elderly. Making an ST version of this is like putting a supercharger on an old Cadillac Deville.
The engine would be nice for towing, but yeah, pretending it's a sport car is a little silly.
Lmao your knocking this car so heavily but at the same time it’s only competition is the Audi SQ5 and the Porsche Macan (your words, not mine) at a fraction of the price. I applaud Ford for at least giving us the option of a higher performance - mainstream SUV. This will smoke a Murano, Blazer, Passport, Pilot, Highlander, and many more.
I can’t believe Ford would stop selling the Focus ST in the US only to give us this crap instead
My first car was a blue 1967 Mustang. Then I bought a white 1993 F-350 single cab, and now I own a blue 2016 Fiesta ST. My mother still drives a 2009 Ford Flex and we had 2 Windstar’s growing up.
I always thought the Edge was ugly, but this ST rendition is just horrible. Look at that terrible plastic front splitter thing, that cheap milk crate grille, and that embarrassing wheel gap. The worst part? They’re asking $50,000 for this crap. If you buy this for anything more than $35k then you’re overpaying. Shame on you, Ford.
I feel like Ford was like "how can we build a vehicle with every single cliche that people dislike about current vehicles trends?"
Who buys this? Like you said, dads who want to go fast. There arent a lot of long wagons/crossovers/SUVs being sold anymore that aren't ginormous. At 6'2", very few crossovers, even full size SUV, can fit a rear facing car seat behind the driver. Even the BMW 5-series wagon is too short. I'm currently driving a Venza, but the Edge is pretty much the same size. The Outback has a little less room than the Venza.
“It feels nice in my hands”- that’s what she said
Ford is losing my business. I've owned both a Focus and now Fiesta ST, and once I"m done with it, I won't be looking to Ford to replace it. They don't wanna build cars any more, they've perverted the ST brand with this crap, and no stick. Sorry, Ford is now building cars for millennials, and since most of them live in mom and dad's basement and cannot afford this Ford has effectively ended its ST program. I'll be looking at European cars for my daily replacement, even though I plan on keeping my full built Gen 3 Coyote '18 A10 GT for quite some time. Sorry, but Ford you are clueless as to who your market is at this point.
edge RS?
Aksel KS no
This crossover is going to FAIL so badly.... People buy crossovers because they want some of the utility of a larger SUV but without the price tag. At this price, they might as well buy a proper, larger SUV.
AND, if someone wanted performance, they could either go higher to a proper, more powerful SUV, or a sporty coupe/sedan.
Visor test, small Tim's test, now we need to see if you can fit at least 3 Marlboro's in the glovebox for the bogey test
Seems like a lukewarm effort to cash in the on the goodwill created by the FoST and FiST. I owned a 2013 Focus ST and it was a fun car with some minor issues. I believe Ford peaked in 2015 and now they’re going downhill into poor decisions and cutting corners again.
At this point I’d be looking at a Genesis G70 or Kia Stinger if I was replacing my ‘15 Mustang GT.
I appreciate the passionate, honest, well shot and edited reviews as always 👍🏻 thank you
I'm definitely a StraightPiper
Your definitely like pipe
It’s amazing that the American car companies are too stupid to adopt the Toyota way of manufacturing and quality control. This famous method saved Porsche from bankruptcy in the late 1990’s. They’re more concerned about having shiny new objects available prior to the quarterly earnings report.
They actually made a v6 sound like an inline 4....
Organik TSU only Ford can make a twin turbo V6 sound like and I4
I guess you have to test Shitty Useless Vehicles but you totally lost me when you started talking about the looks. It looks just like every other one of these things, except the even sillier ones where they cut the back of like the even numbered BMWs. Honestly who gives a shit.

Mario Enrique here 😁
I had a 2015 Edge Sport which this basically is and traded it in a year latter for primarily the reasons you guy's cited. Crappy seats, bad gauges unresponsive tranny (previous gen 6 speed). These are
quick and have good space but
that's it. Ow and the build quality on mine was awful panel gaps galore in the exterior and the power steering system failed at 1500 miles.
intro music? straight pipes production?
