5:40 Astral Aim cannot be done with incinerators Also, playing incinerator based purifier is a gimmick, you can do it for fun, but where purifier shines is melee discipline, Specced into melee you get +2 dmg via Unstoppable Conflagration each time you use Psychic ability (even Aegis shield), it caps at +6 dmg, and you're gonna think it's not so good because it takes 3 AP to build max stacks, but that's where stun comps come into play. You spec Purifier into Melee and Grenades and you run Empyrean Brain Mines. Ideal comp is something like Apothecary with grenade armour for more brain mines and +stun storm bolter, Chaplain for Litany of hate and Provoke and fourth can be either LIbrarian for extra stun and group teleport or really whatever. (use all +grenade armours to max out your brain mines count). For weapons, ideal is something like Warpbreaker or Endbringer for it's great auto (+2 ap on execute coupled with extra execute AP from litany of hate is awesome). Buff Iron arm biomancy to knight that is using the stun weapon. (Doesn't have to be purifier, you can run something like Starslayer which is 5 base dmg +4 dmg on force strike and has base 30% chance to refund WP, this goes well with Focus gem (Santic Shard) Tier 3 gives +50% focus which brings that up to 80%. One of best armours for Purifier is Kantu's Vambrace which has +15% focus bringing WP refund to 100% it also has juicy +1 AP so your purifier starts with 4 AP, and you can spam Force Strikes to get Unstoppable Conflagration going, and bring dmg from 9 on Force Strike to 15 on Force Strike, and you get to have lots of AP due to executions. It's the most fun comp I played and I've played quite a few. With LIbrarian it can finish missions in one turn - you go from movement phase into activation, you get your AP refunded, you chain stun->execute, leave the last enemy 1 hit away from dying if you have amassed ton of AP, move your Librarian or all your guys but 1 forward, finish of the last enemy, get out of combat and get AP refunded again, move your Librarian towards next enemy pod, TP in, and rinse and repeat till the mission end with Warp Surge being stuck at 100% and never going off.
17:05 Important to note here (AGAIN, I know I'm repeating myself but don't want anyone to make a mistake and spend points then not be able to use the ability) is that while Incinerators are potentially highest dmg per AP in the game, you can't perform Astral Aim with Incinerators which you mentioned while going over abilities and they are notoriously high to position for. (having a Provoker, usually Chaplain at this point in game, helps a lot to get enemies up close and personal)
18:35 Focus is good, especially for melee Purifiers with Halberds, If you are going with incinerators best option is to equip extra wargear slot power armour if you don't have Kantu's Vambrace (+1AP, +focus, +move speed). Extra ammo wargear is how you get highest dmg per AP with incinerator in this game, equip focus gear in other slot if you have the +wargear slot armour so your Rapid Reload triggers, and of course grenades in grenade slot.
First off, wanna say your reviews/videos are great. Well put together. The extended mag is disgusting with this build, must have with the bottoms right stuff and incinerator. He was doing like 18 or 20 damage for the purifying flame, and had armor that gave him 1 extra AP every turn and movement speed. Not to mention his miniature nuke grenades. He is straight up a 1 man army. I could usually send him to hold off a whole flank all his own. The promethean spray is useful to spray over warp rifts. I never even thought to pair him with a purgator. Purifying flame ignores cover and friendlies in the area.
11:45 you don't actually need Soul Blaze it's not worth it, you will get unstoppable Conflagration triggered by spamming Force Strikes and it doesn't require you to have an ability point in Soul Blaze. If you have Devoted Practitioner Unique Starting Perk (+1 ability point on lvls 3, 6 and 9) you can spend a point there but it's usually not worth it, it can be ok with Halberd and Focus Gem (plus focus armour is extra bonus) and positioning Purifier in front of your Provoker (usually Chaplain) so he gets free opportunity attacks and gets free stacks of Unstoppable Conflagration charges (caps at +6 dmg)
I found the melee build impossible to figure out. The grenade build with flamethrower support was great - my favourite advanced class. knock back on the flames was pretty niche - blowing people off the map was occasionally useful. Not to do with purifier but I have found bleed & burn slightly useful when you are also enraging the targets. You can to it at very long range & hide so the enemies madly charge the taunter, or group up around a servo skull. For a super situational use :), in the last mission burn/bleed the reinforcements who do not attack you but just rush the inner sanctum.
It wouldn't be my first choice, either, but I wanted to cover the possibility. Like I said, different people, different styles, and others often think of things I don't, so I try to frame these things in terms of what you might do rather than what the"best" build is.

lol i play the purifier solo on missions (leave the rest behind at the start of the map). with peity flamer, the purufier burns everything.

Best Chaosgate channel
I find the purifier insanely powerful for spawn and spreader missions. Gate of infinity, honor the chapter, everything gets purified in holy flames
So I think armour piece is good vs units with High armour but low HP, like the tanks. Or units that have a burst of temp armour like with hunker down.

Good info. Thanks for the tips!

Is astral aim working with the incinerator?
I don't know, I never tried it. I don't use Purifiers that much. It may not, since it's an AOE. Hadn't really thought about that until just now :)
Be cool if it did 😎

@@JericsGamescape i know it is old but it's pretty fun melee purifier with the 1st turn only build (gameghis khan) for the memes
If you are still interested in melee purifier, read my other comment or look up Gameghis Khan one turn purifier video
@@AskZch Thanks I'll look into that!
