This is our group's reclear of The Primal Council this last week of the year and it ended up being an unintended Rank 1 parse at the time of writing this. But it will be surpassed any time soon given that it was was achieved at 402 ilvl with 2p set bonus only. While watching this, I have also noticed quite a few mistakes I have made here that need to be ironed out, such as not lining up Essence Font correctly at all times with Chi-Ji to take advantage of double mastery procs and a few other errors in my rotation's priorities.
Overall, I have gotten pretty good grasp of the damage taken during this entire encounter so I was able to abuse certain things a bit better this time around compared to our first kill. Faeline + Awakened Faeline + Chi-Ji + High Mastery are so OP in this fight!

was this before Sheilun's and Shaoshao's? would you now want to use those talents instead of the faeline build?

Indeed, this is way before Sheilun's and Shaoshao were added. Given the nature of the fight, the Faeline build will always be better on this particular fight so if you are aiming to maximize your throughput, definitely go for Faeline. Theoretically, you could fit Sheilun and Shaoshao with Faeline if you skip Misty Peaks and Upwelling and there are quite a few logs of people in the top 100 doing that, but I don't see the reason to it since you lose value from not picking other talents.
Personally, I think that the low-effort spin-to-win build that uses Spinning Kick spam on Faeline and simply spams TP - BoK during Chi-Ji to maximize the CD reset you get from Jade Bond is probably the best one for this fight. It's quite niche though since you ignore casting many things including Renewing Mists and even RSK, you just refresh your Ancient Teachings with Faeline and make sure to use Essence Font before Chi-Ji. Outside of that you just spam Spinning Kick on Faeline!

what rotation you use for kicks and palm? you just go 1 palm 1bk and 1 rising kick?
Yes for the most part. The idea here is to use at least 3x RSK during the 25 secs of Chi-Ji to fully extend Essence Font with Upwelling talented (2x without Upwelling, but you will have to re-apply EF during Chi-Ji and extend it again if not talented) and then spam TP & BoK back to back and applying Env Mists where needed. Depending on your mastery levels, the fight and the mechanic, there are situations where simply spamming TP - BoK and ignoring Env Mists might yield better results. I'd say if you have around 90-95% Mastery or above, then prioritize more TP - BoK spamming. However, if you are stacking haste + crit mostly, then using RSks more frequently and applying more Env Mists / Env Breaths will be better. Overall, the rotation totally depends on the circumstances of the fight and your secondary stats, hence if you are aiming to min-max things, you will have to adapt accordingly from one Chi-Ji application to the next.
