  • Greetings all! After a long while I get to return back to my old server and faction that I used to play: Alliance side on Silvermoon. When going Alliance, the hardest decision is obviously which race to choose since they have so many cool races with quite useful perks. I went with the Mechagnome because I thought it would be very fun to see the mecha-diaper-chad in the healing leaderboards, and obviously for the Combat Analysis racial that provides the highest overall main stat.
    Now regarding this fight, I have to say that even though this is the sixth boss that is cleared in progression, it feels extremely basic and lame as fight. There is no depth to it, it has a very simplified pattern that it follows which repeats until you kill the boss. It is also a fight where people stay spread for the most part and it makes it even less fun to heal as you cannot get great value from several spells, but it is not healing intensive so four healers are more than enough.
    With respect to my Mistweaver performance in this fight, while it ended up being a top-ten log at the moment I am writing this, I don't deem it a particularly great performance and it made clear to me that after the changes to the class and the recent buffs, the balance has shifted a bit and certain talents are currently getting outshined by alternative options and I need to slightly re-adapt my playstyle.
    First of all, let's start with mistakes: I get good value from first Chi-Ji but I end up losing value from second and third applications due to my positioning (especially during second one). Of course it doesn't help that we have to be spread due to mechanics because that way I cannot get good Enveloping Breath cleaves but with better personal positioning I certainly could have healed more with my Chi-Ji's Gust of Mists. This is definitely an area for improvement in future reclears.
    Another area that requires improvement is my mana spending and using more mana potions during these fight. Currently after all these buffs we have gotten, Vivify cleaving is extremely potent and I need to take more advantage of it. In most cases you will have to call for an Innervate and sadly here I couldn't since our druid died early, but this raises the argument that I should have talented "Mana Tea" or even use a Chilling pot instead of Ultimate Power pot to spam more Vivifies. While reviewing this vod, I have noticed many excellent windows for Vivify spamming (especially during the two times on the platform). Another option is to use the "Conjured Chillglobe" trinket (which I don't currently own) to get more mana throughout the fight and in turn translate that into more healing. In short, all the buffs we have received in recent weeks make it clear once again that we go back to our old mana-hungry self that we recall from Shadowlands and we have to find ways to survive the battle with our mana bar.
    Lastly, I opted for Upwelling in this fight due to my earlier mana issues that were making me go oom. But currently it has become clear to me that after RSK's damage buffs and all other healing buffs we have received, spamming more EFs during the fight and getting more value out of our Ancient Teachings (like in Shadowlands) is perhaps a better option if you can deal with the mana shortages when not picking up Upwelling. Upwelling is still a strong option if you have a lot of mastery and want to maximise the value of double mastery procs, but it falls behind when you instead stack crit like I do currently. In my case Focused Thunder would have been a better alternative.
    I will not discuss Sheilun's Gift and Shaohao's lesson for now because it is still too early and there isn't much data yet in latest patch to derive a median performance for these two talents relative to other options. But they are certainly strong candidates, however they force you to adapt your gameplay around them quite a bit and plan ahead if you want to maximize their value. For some arbitrary reason, I personally find Mending Proliferation a decent option and I tend to favour it. In this fight I got 3450 HPS out of it, which is a decent value. But in the coming days I will have to thoroughly review the potencies of these talents after we get more data from logs in the new 10.0.5 patch.
    Enjoy!

    How do you get the "mark to triangle" countdown on your screen?

    • @Geroiko
      @Geroiko  Год назад

      Hey mate, the "marks to " is a WA that many groups are using for this mythic mechanic. But effectively you need 2 WAs to make this work: For the text in the middle that you asked, the WA's name is "Dathea teleprompter marks (universal)" which simply prompts you to drop the debuff at the specified place. But in order to make this previous WA work, you need another WA called "Dathea Mythic Infoframe (Raidleader)" which automarks and sets the priority of where to drop the debuff.

    Ah sad to see you leave Raggy, I'll keep following. Learned quite a bit on Terros from your vid.
    Edit: Always welcome to give some pointers on my Terros vid!
    Cheers

      Hey mate, thanks for your comment again! I hope that the more in-depth info about the performance I have started adding in the descriptions is helpful enough to get some hints in these fights. I'll check your Terros video more in-depth during the weekend when I'll have more time, but from a brief look I can say it is a great sign that you four-heal it and if more people survive by the end of the fight in future reclears, you will be able to get way greater value from your heals and easily reach the 100k hps mark. Currently I feel like one of the most important things is finding good timings to do Vivify cleaving when a lot of Renewing Mists are up, because it can inflate the healing numbers by a lot, but at the same time you have to balance this around your mana if you don't get mana resources like Innervates etc.

    when playing the single target build, what do you do when ancient teaching drops off while essence font/tea is on CD?

    • @Geroiko
      @Geroiko  Год назад +2

      Hey mate! So, when you are not playing with Faeline, ideally you want to drop Upwelling too and revert back to our old playstyle from Shadowlands, where you use Essence Font every 14 or so seconds to refresh your Ancient Teachings buff. With Upwelling you would normally pair your TFT with Essence Font all the time because that's the best play. However, without Upwelling you want to pair your TFT with Renewing Mists for the most part. That way you don't have to worry anymore about aligning EF and TFT together and you can conveniently and unconditionally refresh your Ancient Teachings whenever.
      Unfortunately I don't demonstrate that in the video and it is certainly one of my mistakes that was caused by some mana issues I had during this clear, which forced me to use Upwelling at that time. The problem was that I was not accustomed yet at managing my mana so well without Upwelling, because it certainly requires some time and adjustment to your Teachings of the Monastery to deal with the increased mana consumption. I also didn't talent Mana Tea for that particular clear which was another problem. I have now adapted to these things though and will demonstrate it correctly in my next video. I have also adjusted my WA in the middle to show an extra bar that tracks way better the Ancient Teachings uptime.
      In general, you can expect your mana consumption to significantly increase now that you spam EF so frequently and this is primarily why Mana Tea has recently become very prominent option in all builds, especially for all the long fights. You can consistently save 100k or more mana in fights with Mana Tea, which is a big deal.

      @@Geroiko thanks for the advice. the 2.5sec on no tft essence font feels sooo long but i should never cut it short just to get the teachings buff right?

    • @Geroiko
      @Geroiko  Год назад +1

      @@sportsbob You should never cut EF short because it contributes so much to your overall healing and the the more targets hit by EF's bolts, the more chances to take advantage of the double mastery procs. Considering that we play with very high haste, I treat these 3 seconds of cast time by EF as a needed break in the middle of your rotation to pay attention to things around you, upcoming boss timers or ERT notes, considering that when you focus on your rotation with 35% or more average haste you don't get much time to notice many other things besides your rotation.

    Cheers friend, is there an option to get your raid frames? Looks kinda insane ❤

      @Geroiko  Год назад +2

      Hello there and thank you very much for your kind comment! I have added the main WAs that I use in the description of the video. As for the VuhDo frames, I think I will eventually have to do a short tutorial video for it since people have been asking about it, because unfortunately there are many elements in VuhDo that are not shared when you export a profile and it requires quite some tinkering to make it look exactly like mine. When I get some more time in the coming weeks I will try to record such a guide and share because I know that VuhDo can be a little bit complicated to set it up the exact way you want if you are not familiar with its options interface. Thanks again! :)
