Do you have anything else that you think I should include in a part 2? Finally, which configuration is right for you? Would love to know what you think. Is this laptop that you would use and why or why not. If you’re currently using something else, please share your experience with me. I am grateful in advance 🙏
Is there a downside if you use a usb-c to Hdmi cable instead of an adaptor? I want to buy an external monitor for my m1 MacBook Pro and I would like to know if its better to go for an adaptor (type c to hdmi) or for a cable for that specific reason.
Thank you once again for your great video! Your recommendations/suggestions are spot on! I have the M1 MacBook Air, 8CPU, 512SSD. One thing you didn't address was your recommendation for an external back up. Currently I have a Time Machine external back up device. But just as my old, (ancient), MacBook Air from 2013, the Time Machine external backup is more or less the same age, (so it's ancient as well!). Can I continue to use the 2013 - 2014 Time Machine external back up device? Should I get an updated Time Machine external back up or is there another product you would recommend? If so, which one would you recommend? Thanks for the great advice from your videos and from your replies.
I am finally going to make the leap and purchase my first Apple Mac book. I was on the fence because I will use it for my business. I take pictures with my phone an iPhone and I wanted something less cumbersome. @12:29 USB-C to HDMI cable! Thanks for pointing this possibility out. I didn't know such cables exist - I thought I would need an adapter or the Satechi hub to connect an external monitor. This cable is the most straightforward way to do it :-)

TWO QUESTIONS: (1) I do not recall ever seeing a MacBook reviewer use a hard case to protect the computer's finish. Why is that? (2) If a hard case is used, will that prevent a hub from fitting flush against the MacBook's side?

What type of docking station do you use to set up 2 monitors with M1 MacBook Air? You can't find the Display Link 4K Plug & Display UD6950Z ANYWHERE. Is there another docking station that works?

I was thinking of a huge 48" curved edit monitor, with connections compatible with my older Thunderbolt and USB drives, the type monitor I could divide up the screen and maybe a sidecar iPad for scopes, etc. Thanks for any advice.
How is text clarity on that monitor? I have a 1440p 34" as well and text quality is not the greatest on mac. I have a USB-C to DP-1.4 cable, and the resolution is set to 3440x1440p 75hz, but still. It's something about how mac rendering fonts.
Do you think you'll need to update your list of accessories and recommendations in light of Apple's new MacBook Air M2? Great contents, awesome channel. Thanks!
Still a great video. I have been using an 27" LG Ultrawide that I bought for $159. Of course, it is only 1080p but it has worked great to overcome the one external monitor limitation. I just ordered a Dell 34" Ultrawide that is 3440x1440. I have heard that there are problems with either text being too small at this resolution or having to use less resolution for readability. Thoughts on your experience with this 3440x1440 monitor?

How is text clarity on that monitor? I have a 1440p 34" as well and text quality is not the greatest on mac. I have a USB-C to DP-1.4 cable, and the resolution is set to 3440x1440p 75hz, but still. It's something about how mac rendering fonts.
I have same issue and it is realy horrible to look... Hope they fix it.
Thank you, great content. Think I am getting the 13” M-1, to replace my late 2011 Probook!! I know..thanks to you! Helped a ton.
Do you think you'll need to update your list of accessories and recommendations in light of Apple's new MacBook Air M2? Great contents, awesome channel. Thanks!
But satechi supports 4k only with 30hz refresh rate..
There's no problem charging the air with the 16 inch macbook pro charger right?
Not at all. That one is 60W.
