If you setup and activate "Find My" remember to disable it before you replace that Mac. This requires access to the Apple ID and its password associated with the Mac. Even if you reformat the hard drive and reinstall macOS, "Find My" still remembers in iCloud.
Why? Apple just wants locked devices creating e-waste to sell you more devices. They enforce locking devices and never unlocking :) They never unlock any device for you!

How you can reduce battery life of your MacBook by using some 3rd party chargers ? Literally pick baseus or any cheap brand and look at wattage curve while it’s charging 😂 official chargers are the worst deal you can get. Then i could load them to the 2021. My Plan was to have a 2nd Time Machine Back up of the 2021. If i move files from the 2012 i would wipe it clean first before my time machine back up. I dont use iCloud, i thought about getting 2TB for 1 month to move keychain, docs / photos and desktop, but it seems then they are in the cloud not on my actual NEW MBPro, it seems if you download them it creates a new home folder, is this a problem creating another new home folder, no one can give me a straight answer, Arthur i am hoping you'll be my savior. Arthur what would you do in my shoes to set up the 2021 from the 2012?
2nd hand market != blackmarket, Apple sell refurbed computers and have a few manufacturing issues here and there (like sticking the high-voltage connector right next to the cpu power line). There's a boot usb you can get that removes the password query, takes about 5 mins. If you want a 3rd party charger then make sure you supply the same (correct) voltage + amperage, if it is blocked by Apple as they have in the past (because a small chip isn't signalling the device) then go to your competition watchdog and report Apple, PSUs are cheap and easy to build and should only cost around $20. Hotkeys, yeah def use them.
WARNING: Do not use the hub you buy to charge your MacBook through its usb c port. Doing this might brick or destroy your Mac. Put the original charger in the original port.
Sorry but although my trackpad settings are all set ups I just can't switch from one desktop to another with 3 fingers, could you or someone give me more details on how to achieve that please ?
Wow. Your previous video just popped on my feed and so did this one. Loved both the M1 Air videos brother. I personally am looking forward to buy M1 Air this week, should I wait for M2, I really need one ASAP though. Keep up the good work. Love from India.
M2 has been delayed for some reason, so it will take some time to launch. And if time and budget ain't a constraint then definitely go for M2. However, in your case as you need Mac on urgent basis as stated above then go for it. M1 is still a very powerful chip and as per rumours there will be minimal changes in M2.
My mcbook i dont know why always not active my apple ID, too much headache now they email me to recover my ID 2weeks, i buy the mcbook only for 1moth and how many times i reset the mcbook sooo stress ful for me,,, 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
@@justhuman3424 the whole battery capacity decrease whe charging through a dock claim is pretty bogus. if you get 30 watts at 20 volt it doesnt matter what cable you run as long as its in spec for PD.
You just saved me 100 pounds. My MacBook was slightly scratched. I decided to keep it. It was from the Apple Store via Amazon. As it doesn’t have any marks anywhere else especially on the screws I believe it is new from the factory but 😢 very minor scratches, and I mean tiny. It is the 2023 apple 15 in MacBook. Amazon gave me a partial refund.
@@johnnyl1201 I think I should’ve explained why it’s not a good idea, but basically a different charger brick can damage and reduce the battery lifespan of your device. That happens a lot with smartphones, but since the MacBook is a computer I’m not totally sure so I said I don’t know, but it’s always better to use the devices original brick.

Arthur what would you do in my shoes to set up the 2021 from the 2012?
a lot of info thank you
Great info thank you
2nd hand market != blackmarket, Apple sell refurbed computers and have a few manufacturing issues here and there (like sticking the high-voltage connector right next to the cpu power line).
8:03 is no one gonna talk about marques?
WARNING:
Do not use the hub you buy to charge your MacBook through its usb c port. Doing this might brick or destroy your Mac. Put the original charger in the original port.
HUB ?? Doesn't it come with it?
@@official_bearbull nope. The MacBook Air 1 has only two USB ports and one 3.5mm headphone jack
Should be fine to use the hub without the charger though, right?
@@Tail0rMade22 should be fine as its battery lasts for 20hours but this hub bricking thing is scary
Is OmniDiskSweeper useful and safe to use?
Hi, recently bought m1 mac book pro.. do I need to calibrate it. I use it for photo editing n if yes how can I do it
Great video! New subscriber.
The reason the tracking speed is slow because the trackpad is big
Good video 😊😊
What are the steps to migrate files from windows pc to MacBook Pro if you skipped it during the setup portion of the laptop? Thanks
This was absolutely helpful! Thank you so much man!
Great! Thank you
Hi is the screen protector ang cases for MacBook M1 necessary??
Sorry but although my trackpad settings are all set ups I just can't switch from one desktop to another with 3 fingers, could you or someone give me more details on how to achieve that please ?
Wow. Your previous video just popped on my feed and so did this one. Loved both the M1 Air videos brother.
I personally am looking forward to buy M1 Air this week, should I wait for M2, I really need one ASAP though.
Keep up the good work. Love from India.
What's Ur decision
M2 has been delayed for some reason, so it will take some time to launch.
And if time and budget ain't a constraint then definitely go for M2.
However, in your case as you need Mac on urgent basis as stated above then go for it. M1 is still a very powerful chip and as per rumours there will be minimal changes in M2.
@@yashvishrant Thank you for your suggestions, I got M1 Air feels like a fantastic purchase.

I just brought a new one and when I pressed it at the side wher the serial number is written a crunch sound is coming is it norma?
does charging the mac with the original power adapter plugged into a hub and then plugged into the mac have an influence on the battery capacity?
Not necessarily
“And put a check mark right here”
Where? Where is here?
I face a problem with my macbook air 2020 late, which that when i shutdown my macbook its on automatically after 2,3 Minute
Can someone reply if it is ok to use samsung 18w fast charger to charge the macbook air m1 ??
I don’t know, but I wouldn’t recommend. It’s better to always use the original charger brick
@@legend34885 ok thanks for your reply, i will start using the original apple charger that came with the macbook. Thx !!
@@johnnyl1201 No problem, enjoy your new machine! 🥰
@@legend34885 alright, yes it is always best to be on the safer side. Thx. Cheers !!
