@@al4realzif you don’t depend on really high levels of sustained performance, I say go buy the MBA. MBA already is super powerful, and Apple Silicon chips all offer the same single core performance. The differences are in adding more of those CPU cores and for the GPU, when you spec up to the higher end M3 Pro/Max and yet to be announced Ultra. Because MBA is a fanless computer, it will not be able to deliver the same sustained performance as M3 MBP with a fan. But again, you only should care about that if you depend on it. 98% of people get more performance from MBA than they need.

As a 25-year PC user I just bought my Macbook Air 13" and this is the most valuable video I've seen. Clear, concise, well-produced, no wasted time or words. I took pages of notes and will return to watch it several more times as I learn to use my Mac. Thank You!

@@nehalmohamed3276it depends what you're gonna use it for tbh. If its for work/school then I recommend getting the MacBook first and if its just for casual use like watching movies and browser then I'd go with the Ipad first
The three finger gesture in the beginning with moving windows around is disabled because then you have to use four fingers for mission control instead of three.
Really appreciate the video. I just got my first macbook and almost every video out there the content creators don't really explain that well. Thanks again!

What is the best solution to easily switch from using work HP computer to MacBook Air M3 using the same external dual display monitors. My current HP DOC dos not seem to do the trick only mirrors the dual display 4K monitors
You will need to utilize a DisplayLink dock from Plugable. I'm not sure abou that HP dock but I know the plugable dock that I use has me download a DisplayLink driver that then allows me to utilize 3 montiors. They are sold on Amazon. Without the DisplayLink driver installed the m3 can only handle a single monitor out of 1 of the usbc ports. You could probably by pass the dock all together and run HDMI from your monitors to the 2 thunderbolt (usbc) ports on the left hand side.
thank you! this was amazing. I have never really looked into changing anything on my green iMac and I just got the M3 air! super excited to try some of these to make things easier and more modern. great tips
I know this comment might not get seen by you but I really want to say thank you for this video. I just upgraded to an iMac but the tips here are super relevant for me still (it took me way longer than I'm proud of to compute in my head that I no longer have a MacBook so things like trackpad and battery don't apply) and I really appreciate how well you explained everything. new subscriber here!
I am new to Mac Book. I just purchased the new Mac Book Air M3 a couple of days ago and trying to get used to it and learn how to use it. I also have a HP and that's what I'm used to using so this is really different for me. I am trying to figure out how to open a new window in the browser. How do you do that? I am learning a lot from your video and it's very helpful to someone like me who's coming from a Windows PC.
I just got my first ever Mac as well just a couple days ago (incidentally an M3 MacBook Air). You may have already figured it out but you can press command+t and it will open a new tab in the browser. Interestingly, this also works in finder. Both of which I figured out by accident. My guess is this works in just about any app that has tabs.
Hello Brandon, thank you so much for this very useful video. I just want to to take a help from you. How can we access word, xcell files in Mac since I have a new Mac.
I got the M3 Macbook Air, last week, its amazing but I am not able to use the clamshell mode without plugging in the charger. Can you give any tips how I can make it work?
Thank you so much for your video regarding best method to start with an M3 MacBook Air. I find all your videos most instructive and helpful. I watch each one other as they appear.
Great information video. I just bought an m3 2024 Macbook Air with only 8gb. Will it be enough memory if I'm using mainly for word, Excel office 365 software and web surfing, streaming, utube, Amazon shopping, instagram, ticktock, and Facebook.
