I've been hesitant to buy this, I need some information please help. Does the toner over brighten with time? Like where one feels the complexion is becoming too light? I just want to keep the melanin in check, no serious hyperpigmentation, is it the right product for that? Thanks
@@FaithDamarieMusic don't worry, it doesn't change your complexion to the extent of losing your melanin don't worry. It just gives the skin a more even looking, no colour changing at all

@@blessngifted Right! If there was only one video I could recommend to women, it would be that one. Two cycles and everything she said I did. I took notes and followed and not one hormonal pimple showed up. And that UrbanRx product goes a very long way. So glad I found her channel. Her recommendations are so easy to follow.
Her skin looks so good, it looks fake. It's absolutely beautiful. I'm saying that as someone who really has never had problem skin either except in the past year on the right side of my face from hormonal acne. Who knew I would turn 35 and my skin would act out.

I use that toner and the discoloration serum and it has changed my skin. I had bad dark marks from hormonal acne and it took about 2-3 months to see results so be patient with it but I’m 8 months in and my skin is completely clear.

@@csoomee a gentle cleanser that foams or at least tailors to ur skin type is enough those two products are POWERFUL
I’ve been using for about a month and see no results so thanks for the heads up. I’m also going to try some other things mentioned in this vid so hopefully I’ll start seeing results in about a month or so
Thank you for saying that it takes 3 months to see results , because If I don’t see my skin improving within a 1 month I usually just give up. So now I know

I’ve used them for two weeks now and So far no irritation. I haven’t been able to tell any significant brightening yet- its too soon. But I will update in a few more weeks! I like how the moisturizer feels though. Its hydrating but not oily!

I have just ordered the toner and serum after watching this. I love your content, your advice is always so clear and informative - I have been watching them on repeat learning about all the different ways to tackle my hyperpigmentation. I also got a prescription for a azelaic acid after watching your videos and hearing you talk about it. I watch a lot of RUclips skin channels and there is lots of great content but It’s amazing to have this advice from a poc for poc. And can we talk about your skin for a sec? That is the ultimate goal! You are glowing! ✨

This is one of the absolute best videos on hyperpigmentation. You broke it ALL THE WAY down (the house analogy is PERCECT), AND included great products/ingredients that combat it. I've learned so much from you and another well known YT doctor regarding hyperpigmentation, but my main issue has been SAFELY building a full regimen. I had a list of excellent products to buy from GM, PC, Krave, but had no clue what to pair with what, so kept going back and forth with the brands, videos, etc. THIS is what I needed! Thank you so much for taking the time to break everything down!

Your video was very helpful because there were 3 products that I have never tried. And it was stated that they are very important. Plus I have not been very gentle with my skin. I have been scrubbing it to hard. So I will try the products in the order you recommend, and pray that it works.

@@nicollejimenezc I can’t give a full opinion on The INKEY List just yet. I like to give products at least 30 days before I decide if they are working for me or not. But so far, it’s going good. No complaints. I have quite the list, but here it is: HA Hydrating Serum, Niacinamide oil control serum, Tranexamic acid hyperpigmentation treatment, 15% vitamin c and EGF brightening serum, multibiotic balancing moisturizer, glycolic acid exfoliating toner, PHA toner, and turmeric moisturizer.

I started with an Ordinary hyperpigmentation routine (which showed some progress), but this routine helped me turn the corner in addressing my hyperpigmentation. Despite being really careful, I still struggled not avoid inflammation in the first place. I eventually went to my doctor and got a Rx for clindamyacin and tretonoin. Much more efficient and cheaper than all of my otc efforts to treat breakouts. But if I do have a breakout again, I fee, equipped to address PIH with Dr Stephens’ suggestion. My skin is finally clear and glowing again!
Is seeing a dermatologist expensive?
Clindamycin and tretonoin helped with hyperpigmentation? I ask because I have those both at home. I was going to buy all the washes and otc that was mentioned here
