This game is one of most underrated/forgotten gems of the generation. Way ahead of it's time. One of my favorite games as a kid.
its the best game of nintendo! and many people dont know it
same here my favorite nintendo game best music
@@jorgeobregon7245 haven't played it but i don't know about "Best game of Nintendo"
Loved it when i was kid too. It looks like star fox universe tho 🤔
@@finalhazard883 then it might be as far as his opinion goes! What a weird comment.
Those parallax scrolling effects are amezing.
The pre-Genesis game or SNES
The graphics for this game are freaking incredible! I didn't even know the NES could do that.
Yes me too. Fun Fact: Nintendo in Japan somewhere in the late 80’s, they invented a chip that can make games have better graphics and a better soundtrack quality.
Japanese tech is so good :D
@Bold One Konami could push the NES further than even Capcom, and arguably made better music too.
I finished this game for the first time yesterday. Finished it (thank you save states) and i can EASILY place it among the HARDEST nes games. EASILY!!!! That final boss was out of this world....
....so nostalgic. I remember discovering it at the end of my NES era...approaching 1995...I remember thinking where has this game been all this time, what a versatile and trippy game....music......early 90's vibe, argh nostalgia!!!!
almost cry with this classic and underated game....
Loved this game as a kid. An overlooked and underrated gem on the NES for sure, with one of the absolute greatest soundtracks ever from an NES game. A very rare, strong exception to the rule of games licensed from movies and TV shows that actually turned out great.
Finally beat it for the first time today!
Played this when I was a kid.. These games were so much harder but still much more fun then any triple A games today... Thank you for a nostalgic trip back to my childhood
This is my first proclamation: this is my favourite video game ever. I've just come to this decision. Perfect blend of difficulty, on-point controls, anthrocyberpunk designs, badass story, nostalgic as fuck & I can play it & impress my friends which is an added bonus. It's official. It's my favourite game ever.
Yellow Planet boss terrified me as a kid thanks to that death beam that he throws up.
EDIT: how could I forget to include one of the BEST soundtracks ever!
A really great game but its far from being my favorite game on the nes. The game would make my top 100, somewhere near number 100. Everyone has different taste and opinions and its perfect this way. Cheers!
“Anthrocyberpunk” dude YES
Who ever is playing this has memorised everything extremely well.
Adam Painter no kidding
I think it's TAS, but still
@@JoeDan54 When I was a kiddo playing it all the time I knew where everything in the waterfall was, but now I'd not. I think you can get to memorise quite alot in this game if you just play it over and over alot over a short time. But I'd sure die alot while trying now. Years since I last played. Need to take my dusty NES out and play some.
This is technically Jazz Jackrabbit in reverse. Also that intro with the major character's friends abducted, it feels very Battletoads (another NES gem) to me.
Alucard J.B M.P also one of Blue Planet's levels looks like Snake Pit from Battletoads
So the love child of Megaman and Contra is a green space-traveling rabbit. Thus is the logic of the 8-bit era. I love it!
Star Fox before Star Fox
@@SleepySage Right. As Starfox debuted the following year.
One of the best games of it's time.
Best nes game and soundtrack :') So many good memories!
I still love the fact that the orange planet has moons orbiting it at different speeds and if you follow them with your finger they do go behind the planets.
Wow... thanks for playing this! Reminds me of my childhood, and after 20+ years I finally know their names and the plot! I played the Japanese version (which I couldn't understand back then). I remember struggling to finish this game (esp. the lava flow), but by practice I finally managed to finish it within one run (and 69 lives). It's amazing that you pick the same planet order as I did, and I was overflowed with memories when I saw those familiar passwords! Thanks again to relive my childhood!
One of my favourite NES games, as both a kid and adult.
My favourite nes game I only completed it at the age of 27 which was 2 years ago
The in game bgm still as badass as ever! Love it 😁
куча воспоминаний. сколько времени было потрачено, ужос) но запомнилась она на всю жизнь)
Just bought this game on eBay. Can't wait to play it. Hard to find for a deal.
its an awesome game ! looks like a nes version of starfox adventures but u play bucky o`hare.=D i miss the 80s and 90s .... this was the best times for a kid to watch tv and enjoy video games . =) i miss this years .... T-T
Epic soundtrack on this game and i just love how that little robot dude walks on the rhytm of blue planet music :D
this is my favorite game but i forgot the title... thanks for upload this.
The Green Planet is yellow and the Yellow Planet is orange... aside from that, it's a masterpiece XD
This game brings back sooooo many memories. Toys, tv shows, and video games!! Oh my!!
De alguna manera fue precursor del Sparkster y con un elevado nivel de dificultad al que nos tenía acostumbrados los señores de Konami. Este juego sencillamente es épico. Recuerdo jugarlo a mis cuatro años
My cousin got this game and it was my first time ever to play on console. Early 90s top games for sure
Thx for the memories, i remember how hard it is to completed this game
Good old days
Damn, this is the best game ever in NES, I played this game when I was a child! What a memories 😍
I just completed this game it was super hard. But the ending you get it is completely worth it .
one of the absolute best NES platformers - a classic that never gets old!
This is the most difficult video game & is my favorite of all time.
Oh wow. I was hit a flood of memories of myself playing this game with my older brother when I was a little kid. 3-4 years old. I even remember the cartoon. Good times man.
I still have this on NES! One of my all time favorite games.
Uno de los mejores juegos para el NES con capacidades al limite de la consola!! NES rules..
Now i can rest in peace...
One of my favourite NES games... pure, unadulterated fun! ;)
If fighting frogs in space doesn't make the best game ever, I don't know what does.
A leader that launches his own people at the hero... My god! :D THATS how villans are supposed to be!
My favourite childhood evergreen game always miss those games 😍😍☺️☺️
Wow the memories are real. Thanks for this video, it gave me a heartwarming feeling in my body watching this. I jse to play this sooo much as a kid. I beat all of this but def not as quickly as you just zoomed through it. I remember it being incredibly difficult but yet still amazing. It was harder than super mario and i had both of them. I always loved jenny she was my favorite and i loved the robot lil dude. *sigh* how time flies. Now i have responsibilities and hd open world games. Nothing can compare to the classics.
This was by far one of my top 3 favorite nes games. I loved the music on the last level. It was hard as hell but I really enjoyed every minute of it.
One of my favourite games ever (or at least one I feel really nostalgic about). I also started playing when I was 3. Good memories!
This game is like the love child of Mega Man and Battletoads.
Damn...I had a NES when I was a kid and all I could remember about this game was that it was my fav and had a somekind of a green space rabbit with a red outfit on it. Great game.
the soundtrack of Escape ❤ 44:23
still have my original copy got it for my 6th b-day in 92
my copy multiplied somewhere over the years & now I have 2?
This game was evidently made by people that loved videogames more than others
I used to play this game when it came out way back in 1992. And while I did enjoy this game greatly, its with deep regret that I could never beat this game. Try as I might, I could never beat it. But its awesome to see someone else beat it so I can see the ending. And to this show's credit, it provides the player with a good challenge, even though its relentless and unforgiving. And the soundtrack is awesome. As to be expected from Konami.
Nobody I know has ever heard of this... :\ This was my game since I was 3 years old.
Toapoint was overlooked. Released in 1991, the same year Super Nintendo was released. Had this game came out 2 years prior, it could have been known somewhat more. The cartoon was overshadowed by TMNT. The turtles had all the hype. Why is Bucky green? I wonder...
No. I'll play on my nintendo, lol
Consider yourself lucky. The game alone now goes for at least $100.
i found it for 80 cents ;)
CAD :)
You have my gratitude Valis77.
1) the soundtrack to this game kicks your ass 'til shit comes out!
2) how the f*ck do you make a tough game like this look so easy??
This game is a gem of the Nes, too bad I never got a chance to have it kick the shot out of my ass.
I can get thru the planets about like this, but once I get to the center of the magma tanker stuff that ante goes way up! Played it incessantly as a kid, though- one of those games I know like the backs of my eyelids lol
Had this been on the SNES or Genesis it would’ve sold better. Still a good, polished NES title.
I used to play this game when I was a little girl and I beated this game like a boss
BUCKY
Captain Bucky o'Hare
Going to places no one else would dare
This game was one of the most tough games I have ever played on NES in those years, I had this game and gave me a lot of headache.
But it was an amazing game!
Thank you for uploading this!
It reminds my childhood thank you for uploading this video
Comparing this game to Super Mario Bros 1 proves how well the NES games developed during the 7 year span. Able to go backwards, change characters that look amazing, even the background graphics are top notch, super powers, complex enemies and levels, ability to save with passwords and not have to return to the very start of the games. The comparison is just amazing. My only critic is the difficulty. Glad that modern games offer different difficulties.
It was a bit hard as sht! The soundtrack, the graphics, the sound effects...OMG, i'm in love with this since i was 8 or 9! ♡
Man, this game is pushing some really impressive graphics on the NES.
This soundtrack though. 🔥🔥🔥
AVGN should review this game
My favourite childhood game finally find love to play this game unlimited fun ☺️☺️😍😍
I remember the show as a kid, I loved it, I hope I love the game!
a true space adventure that is this game.
Jenny's quite useful when she's fully powered-up; her controllable psychic orb is good for damaging most bosses, as I can attest. I can understand the need to get her as early as possible.
The problem with me playing is the boss guarding Jenny--Al Negator--is practically a race against time (there's instant death spikes on the roof, and the floor floods and freezes, making you rush). So I often get Willy before Jenny (I get Jenny last in the stage select part), because Willy's gun can charge up to stronger shots.
This game is $300 at a local game store I frequent. That price gets you the original packaging, unopened.. They also have the cartridge (no box) for $150. Needless to say, this game is rare and highly sought after.
That's too expensive for either, paid $17.99 a few years ago, cart only.
I got it cart only for $90 recently. Prices have cooled a bit. Had to snag before it jumped past triple digits again.
You make this look so easy, I don't think I ever beat a single level and I rented this thing a dozen times!
I'm ashamed at the amount of money I spent renting this game just to beat it halfway XD
NinjaNezumi same here! I feel like I can close a chapter on my life now lol
ЗВУКОВОЕ СОПРОВОЖДЕНИЯ ШЕДЕВРАЛЬНОЕ!!!
Such a great game. And the music is among my favorite of all 8-bit.
Edit: and it took me way too long as a kid to figure out that I could change characters and finally proceed though Blue Planet. That was the NES' Barrel of Death for me!
Love the show, short lived, and the comics, also short lived. And I own the game lol Thanks for doing this!
Это лучшая игра. Не, серьёзно. Более крутого геймплея не встречал никогда.
Legendary.
This is the kind of game that would make today's gamers bash their heads on their desks. The difficulty of this is amazing!
I started playing it when I was 3... I couldn't beat the stage before the escape level. WHen I was 17, I finally beat it... Lol! I'm 26 and I STILL play it, and it's still hard as hell! This is what kids need now n days! Oh wait... It's not 3D -_-. So it "Sucks"...
I want this on the Wii download!
The part with the pistons in the Ice planet always glitches out on me.
Download a different ROM
I had passed levels in this game up to centre of the magma tanker act 4
Wish we could go back to the simpler days....
grandes recuerdos de mi niñez, este juego era maravilloso. great memories of my chilhood
The Toads are lucky that Bruiser wasn't there.
Surrender in the name of the road empire. Dour gets smashed down. Are you talking to me? Man I can still remember that scene from the show. This was my most played game on nes.
El mejor juego de todos los tiempos
My brother James and I played this Nintendo Game where we were kids
Ben Johnson the actor of Avgn's name was James and he had an nes too, Coincidence? I think not!
Memories🤧🤧😥
I had this game as a kid
12:32 But if the arc of fire that appears in Gradius and Life Force :D
my fav game from my childhood!
I remember having this game as a kid. I love it, but I eventually came to think that I only liked it because I was too young to know better. After watching this...I'm glad I was wrong.
I remember making it to the last level, but my parents made me shut it off before I could finish. Parent's suck. :(
I played this game back in the day, its an awesome game but hard as hell
Very good game, I loved it a lot!! 😁
The music is so damn awesome in this game. I think one of the people at treasure worked on this game.
Yup. Masato Maegawa, Treasure's CEO programmed this game.
Nice job on whoever was playing, he/she definitely knew there stuff.
So this, essentially, is Konami's take on Mega Man.
But better and harder
TheFredster32 except this originated from comics then it became animated before becoming a game, where megaman started as a game
TheFredster32 I thought it is inspired Castlevania 3: Dracula's curse because both games can change playable characters
Konami used to copy or plagiate for making licenced games, for example Ninja Turtles is a copy of Double Dragons; Tiny Toons Adventures takes ideas from Sonic and Mario sagas; etc.
It isn't plagurizing if you take a general idea and do your own take upon it.
My brother and I play this game for very long time ago.
I love Jenny’s outfit. I want to cosplay as her some day.
GGWP! hard like hell when i was playing it in primary school
great game
i am gonna miss these days...
