This has to be the best video I have watched!! I ended up buying some ebooks from some company which I thought would give me the info you have provided but sadly it was a waste of money. Thank you so much for this video.
I'm so sorry you wasted your money :( gosh that's the worst! I strive to give all the knowledge I can and this makes me happy to know I have helped. Please let me know if I can help with anything else before you buy any more ebooks!!! ♡♡ take care 🙂 ❤ jes
How do you stop wax from coming out of the hole for the wick ...I tried using the putty stuff but still they leaked...any help you can give I would be extremely grateful ... I'm new to candle making at 72 years old ...You are the best I've seen so I am going to follow you ...X
Hi Janice, thank you so much for the compliment I really appreciate it! :) It is sometimes strange talking to no one when I am filming so it is nice to hear my videos are helpful. I made a whole video explaining how to fix this issue - watch it and then if you have more questions leave them on that video and I will see what I can do :) Here is the link to that video: ruclips.net/video/-e5mOGEZCDs/видео.html
While test burning a big flower mold with a cotton wick (ECO-14). The straight wick melted right in the middle and broke the flower without melting rhe remaining wax on either side. Would you have a video on how you wick such big molds to melt it entirely?
Hey did you use soy wax for your candle? I've seen this with wax that is too soft and a wick that is too big. Let me know okay 👍 👌 I'll see what large moulds I have and see what I can do for the video for you :)
@@Candle_Making_With_Jes thanks for the reply. I am using the CC-35 all natural soy blend pillar wax from Cal Candle Supply. It is formulated for hardness and holds the shape for being used in molds. I tried using the ECO-14 (for 3-4in diameter) wicks on different types of mold shapes - flower (1in*2.5in), teady bear (2in*3.5in), dog (2in*2.5in). The single wick does not seem to burn all the wax. There is a lot of wax remaining on the sides.
HI! GREAT VIDEO-I WAS WONDERING I HAVE A BIG ROSE MOULD WITH COCONUT APRICOT WAX EVERYTIME I GO TO REMOVE IT FROM THE MOULD IT BREAKS ANY SUGGESTIONS? THANKS!
Thank you- Your wax is too soft. You need to add a harder wax like beeswax to it to harden it. Use 20% beeswax 80% coconut apricot - it will unmould perfectly 🥰
Hi there, you can mix a 20% ratio of beeswax, palm or parrafin wax to 80% soy wax. Try this and it should help. If it continues to crumble keep increasing the % of the harder waxes until it stops. Let me know if you need anymore help with this and I'll make a demo video :) Good luck!
@@superanimegal yeah that's why. It's too soft of a wax. You need to use a harder wax or add 20% of harder wax to the soy wax to make it harder. The petals won't break then :)
@nicolemolina1670 if the mould is leaning ... try putting it into a coffee mug to hold it straight... or some sort of vessel to hold it up straight for you. Just ensure the mould can sit flat so the candle isn't lopsided :) Let me know how this works out for you
The size of wick you choose depends on a lot of different factors. The wax type, how much fragrance you use, the diameter of the candle, and the type of wick itself. You need to do your own testing to determine a safe wick to use.
Was it a thin type of silicone mould? I think the thinner moulds might be a problem if you cut them. I'm sorry you had to throw away a mould - that totally sucks :(
OMG! Thanks so much. This was extremely helpful. I was struggling to get my candles out of the molds without losing some of the petals, etc.
So glad I could help out! Let me know if you have any other problems that I might be able to help you solve! :D
Hey! Thanks for this video, really helpful 😊
HI! You are most welcome! Please let me know if there are any questions you may have :) Best of luck and have a great week!

Try adding a harder wax to your soy wax. Like a 10% or 20% beeswax blend. Harder waxes burn better 🙂

Please where can I buy the sheep Mold
I do love sheep.
Thanks
Hi there I bought this sheep mould off of ebay 😄
My soy wax candles tend to crumble when I try to demold them. What wax do you recommend mixing it with?

Hi, do you use a spray to keep them sticking? I have rose moulds but the petals keep breaking when i take them out?
I do not use any spray. If your candles are breaking the wax you are using is not hard enough for the mould. What wax are you using to make the roses?
@@Candle_Making_With_Jes soy wax

What wax do you you use for your molds?
I use crystal palm wax :)
Hello I got a question about candle mold I have there Christmas tress but the don't stay straight it there any idea what I can do Please let me know
is the mould itself not straight? Or is the wax when it is cooled and you unmould it the base is not flat and so the tree is sitting crooked?
@Candle_Making_With_Jes when I add the wax they lean croked were I have to hold them for awhile

I cut a mold one time and no matter what I did, it leaked every time. I threw it away

I didn’t want to cut my large mold but I’m going to have to because my candle keep breaking in the same place! 🙄
You answered the question that I was looking for. I have to cut the mold where the problem is. Thank you!🙏🏾
You are welcome! Glad that it was helpful to you - good luck and don't be afraid to cut your mold! :D
