I've used that stick on wallpaper on my daughter's bedside table and bookcase, it covered yucky stains that had built up over time and looks so nice.
On the bedside table i do admit the corners are coming off in a couple of places but that's mostly because I'm pretty sure she picks at it 😅 but in either case I can always just do it again! Such a cheap and easy thing to do though, highly recommend

My husband is a firefighter. There is a tough physical test that needs to be taken (here in the US). I would definitely start with weight training. It strengthens your muscles and will start to improve your cardio endurance. ❤
and don't give up strength training for about 6 weeks!Then, you will see the results and get so excited! You can do this! ps, start low and go slow
I'm confused about the firefighting thing because I'm from Spain and here getting to be a firefighter is really hard. It's not a few weeks things, people prepare for years. It's not only the physical tests, there's theory exams, you have to learn all sorts of laws and regulations, you have learn all the roads in the area you are going work, the peaks hights, for some reason, and a bunch of technical things. There are psychothecnics. Sometimes you have to demostrate you are a credited electrician, bricklayer, something like that, and there are aditional tests for that.. And you also need to have permits to drive all sort of trucks, and there's a driving test as well...
It's a lot.

Thank you for your video Cass, I need to do a whole house make over, We've been here 6 years and this place is in desperate need of decluttering and decorating. I want my home not just a place to live but a place where we want to live a home that makes us feel good and not overwhelmed. I think our biggest issue we need to get over is the worry of being homeless again and having to pack everything in a panic.
That must have been terrifying we were nearly made homeless about 38 years ago we just sold the house before the building society took it from us you never forget l think we are both very lucky many are not try and enjoy your home best wishes from Lynda

I love the fact you can declutter, clean, paint and repurpose on a very small budget. Paint is one of the most cost effective decorating tools. It can make a HUGE difference!
Yes! Covered my kitchen table with a peel and stick fake granite it has been 3 years and it is still in pretty good shape even with 3 teen boys. A few nicks, but you can't see them because of the pattern.

Loved the paper flowers and the Etsy elephant prints. The finished room looked unique and very tasteful.
The couch looks like a recliner. I found out last year that they actually make slipcovers for recliners (both sofas and chairs) so you can recline without any issues i got one online for cheap and have been pretty happy with it.
I love the black metal looking longish framed things in the yellow/black room.

Shame on people having issue with your son's room. It is his room and should be designed to his preferences. You could tell he was happy with his reaction when he first came in and flopped on the bed. Looked to me like pure bliss. Keep it up...I love watching your videos and you have helped me with the decluttering -- I still have quite a way to go as my husband doesn't share my desire to declutter. lol... I won't give up!
Be prepared for bumps in the road. Tried it in my garage, paint, reorganize. Then I noticed stains on one wall. It turns out I had a huge leak in the roof, which I now have to fix and deconstruct the wall for mold remediation. Not all intentions work! 😢
However, I’m glad I found the problem. It is just going to take a long time to fix and is going to cost more than anticipated.

Cute, oversized flowers, but I’d never do something like that because of the dusting that would be needed over time. However, I love the idea of jazzing up a neutral room with pops of one or two colors!
I understand your. Concern with the 3D flowers. But as they were home made using craft paper once they get over dusty, maybe once a year. Throw them in the bin and make new ones.

I remember when you first thought about doing the surgery. Your MIL's place looked so good. Just got a glimpse of her other wall. Am I remembering that you found a fold out craft cabinet for that, that expanded outward? Good luck on the Firefighter job.

My husband is a volunteer firefighter, so I know a bit about what it takes to do that job. My advice is not only to strengthen yourself but also to do cardio work. When you're wearing just the gear alone, which weighs at least 70 pounds, you will get winded easily, especially when it's hot outside.

Love these makeovers! They are so cute & practical. The only thing I see is some of the things that are hung on the wall are kind of high for kids to reach...the Nerf guns is one and the cute yellow rack for books is another. But they are still amazing!

As much as I disagree with you about nuteral colors having any place in any space, I love so many of your other tips. I currently have a couple items I was looking at doing some peel and stick wall paper makeovers of, but hadn't made a final decision partly so it's great hearing that it's realistic for that to hold up.

Me and my ex husband were once on a show on tv here in England, called House Invaders, and Linda Barker used things we already had to make three rooms in our house look better - it was quite an experience, and I loved what they did, apart from the bathroom blind they made out of one of our old towels! The decor you got for your brother’s bar (candle stands of different heights) from Goodwill…. I have those very stands on my piano (a set of 3, varying heights)that were a wedding gift 22 years ago. I never get rid of anything lol.

When I was a little girl I wanted to become a firefighter, in German it's "Feuerwehrmann" (=firefighterman) and everyone laughed at me because "girls can't do a man's job". But the hell we can!!!
