He said the hardest part was narrowing down the playlist. (it was at least 15 years ago so I don't remember the exact wording)
When they revisited this, but with another orchestra in 2019, the feeling was different. It was good, but the conductors (two of them) simply were not as innovative or talented. They were good, but not to the level as Kamen.

This is the single most amazing way to end this concert. Battery, huge climax, cut it, "THANK YOU FANSSSS, YEAH!!" and then just roars. Chills. The love the SFSO gets is incredible. Well done all around.

Way different than S&M2, Michael Kamen was an absolute intelligent.
As a composer for fun I can’t really fathom how Kamen came up with so many countermelodies for pre-existing songs, it’s super impressive
