even if you’re not puerto rican seeeing people suffer is hard to see..but being puerto rican this shit hurts i cry watching i love my island i love my people
I agree. I live in a place that doesn’t get hurricanes, and this video made me cry.
I lost my house in Harvey, but this just seems like the ultimate worst situation to go through
This was some amazing reporting
God bless you all you are all welcome here to New York New York loves you❤️❤️❤️
Denise pa pedir en la calle en NY mejor me quedo en mi isla
Puerto Rico needs all the help it can get
LIFT THE JONES ACT AND PR WILL NEED NO HELP
Many people took off right after they lost everything not giving a chance for everything to go slightly back to normal. Like many have said, i rather be homeless in my island than in a cold state like new york. Hopefully they are in a better situation now
ANY PUERTO
RICAN GOING THROUGTH ANYTHING LIKE THIS OR U KNOW SOME ONE ON THE STREETS FROM PUERTO RICO ASKING FOR MONEY REACH OUT TO ME , we will not leave are people in the streets . Sin están en la calle . Tiren me , boricua no están solos .
Ricans been doing that begging for DECADES even at PR GOV level!!!
WHAT WE NEED IS THE DEROGATION OF THE JONES ACT. PLEASE UNDERSTAND THIS
73 bill dollars..... that's less than the military upgrade they just did with no discussion. just IMAGINE what we could do without war
PROSPER
Wow underrated comment
Ppl need to be always humble, cause u never know when it happens to u
Can that couple go to the police station to find assistance.
Right they were in trouble before the ⚡storm
Please provide an update on this couple They should have gone to Florida or Conneticut.
Doesn’t Florida also get hurricanes tho?
There are other states that puerto ricans could move. Texas, Georgia, North Carolina, Oregon, Washington State. No more Florida or New York, these states are already saturated of puerto ricans. My two cents opinion.
ponce1968 , so the problem is that we have to many Americans in America, por favor????
WHY MOVE WHEN ALL WE NEED TO DO IS GET RID OF THE CORRUPT JONES ACT. THE BEST PORT OF THE HEMIPHERE BLOCKED BY THE ZIONISTS SINCE 1898
So sad can I help anyone I post close food soaps
73 billion PR need help my God
Its easy for those that leave make their fortune and return to speak of not leaving. What about those of us with bachelor's or masters degree's that can't find work. Plus the nepotism and corruption that impede the recovery of people like us. You have to no somebody, be related to somebody or pay to get a low paying unsecure job! Like a job aplication may cost $150 and there's no guarantee to even be interviewed.
America needs to forgive the debt and make it the 51st state
Margaret Norvell is not what you want..What stupid comment ever
PRIndependencia Capitalista You, shut up. Now is not the time for fairy tales and broken dreams. Resistance was crushed, accept it.
Give the United States back to the real owners.. The American Indians!!!
Viva Puerto Rico Libre.. Abajo los traidores, arrodillados estadistas vendepatrias!!!
Statehood would be a perpetual colonialism dictatorship, just look at Hawaii, Alaska and the whole United States.. What happen to the real Natives, the true owners, the true, real Americans?
AJ+ •●■ Say something about Net neutrality ■●•
Afro Caribbean should fight for that island,, P. R. -- and RESTRUCTURE, rebuild and independence
The welfare statehood party for years allowed the electrical grid to rot now they want the American tax payers to provide a new one...vote statehood vote welfare!!!!!!!!
Not to add insult to injury but...COME ON Denise! You could've stayed in a shelter in Puerto Rico!
Pepins Spot agree. PR is in a dire situation but theres a lot more compassion and people help each other.
THE MISERY OF THE POOR SHOULD BE THE SHAME OF THE RICH. NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND
If this was Iraq or Afghanistan the streets would be paved in Gold and an armada of US warships converted into hospitals, food pantry's and housing anchored just off shore.
House real new Yorkers
THE COMPLETE CARIBBEAN SHOULD BE AFRICAN SANCTUARY, "since Africans were in this part of the world first ( olmecs, etc:;) we are only missing borinkin. ( PR) .
"...devasted Puerto Rice..."??? lol
Why New York ! Go to Florida or Georgia
It has the largest amount of Puerto Ricans outside of Puerto Rico, so it makes sense.
200,000 have already settled in Florida
Good to hear ! its the rent in New York Publix will hire Puerto Ricans
Geeky Gamer u right it does have the largest amount.. but other states like Florida, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts also have large numbers... also Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Ohio, Illinois, Texas also has growing numbers and are all cheaper than NY... NY is too expensive and FL is too hurricane prone, from Pennsylvania down to Georgia and everything in between is da best bet for Ricans
frank jacob Gonzalez ain nobody mad lil bro, nobody really cares.. we just saying why so many of our people go to crowded newyork or hurricane prone florida, both of which are very expensive and dont have much affordable housing, very dumb move ... the best states of our boricuas to go is ohio, pennsylvania, virginia, north carolina, and georgia
Trump Tower has a lot of vacancies....... just a thought.
On a side note it's hard to believe these people can't pull themselves up by the boot straps from those high quality paper towels that clown handed out.
Why can't they go to Texas? That's a way better state than Jew York!
