- X-Men fans have been eating good thanks to the stellar revival of the animated series on Disney+. But with the massive success on the small screen, the mutants' live action arrival in the MCU has a lot to live up to. Thankfully Kyle Anderson is here to break down some key lessons from X-Men '97 that Marvel will hopefully carry over on today's video!

You forgot a big one. Don’t make everything dependent on just Wolverine. It’s an ensemble.
Let Wolverine be a short king please
You forgot to mention how dirty they did Rogue in the past live action movies, I want her to be a bad ass!
no disappointment there.
yesss, she’s become one of my favourite x men because of the show when i found her and many of the other live action counterparts super boring (i’m not a comic reader so i didnt have context of what she’s like previously)
100%!!!! I have LOVED Rogue since I started reading comics, at 12 years old. These days I'm more a DC Comics girly, but X-Men ALWAYS will be my first superhero team, and Rogue and Gambit my #1 ship. I LOVE the CONFIDENT, Southern belle, bull-in-a-china-shop Rogue. The sassy one, who will happily show off, cuz she KNOWS she's cute, and can kick ass. I have HATED EVERY iteration of Rogue, in live action media, except the fanmade things, like the Deadpool musical videos. T-T
X-Men '97 is peak Marvel. Tbh, I don't care about another live action adaptation, just ready for season 2.
It is awesome, uplifting, but also so many feels. Powerful, moving, and incredible. 97 has meant so much to everyone. Every episode is a treasure, a masterpiece
X-Men 97 sneaked in an actual 'Secret Invasion' storyline when the average joes turned in to Prime Sentinels. Smart writing there...
They did it first.
In the comics, 1997's Operation: Zero Tolerance storyline was Secret Invasion before Secret Invasion, with this exact premise of Sentinels hiding in plain sight, even among the X-Men's friends and allies.
@@ingonyama70 Yeah true... i just wished that the mcu adaptation of Secret Invasion was just as good, if not better than XM97 ep. 108.
Simple request: Can we get some Kitty Pryde? She was in X3 and Days but there's so much more we could do with her.
After the Pryde of the X-Men pilot flopped as hard as it did in 89, the showrunners for the original 1992 series wanted to distance themselves from it as much as possible. They turned Nightcrawler, Colossus, and Dazzler - some of the most popular X-Men at the time, yes, even Dazzler - from team mainstays into guest characters, and cut Kitty Pryde out of the story altogether, giving her role as the naive newcomer to Jubilee. So she probably won't be in X-Men 97.
Though since Nightcrawler is now a mainstay of the team, I'm not 100% certain that Kitty WON'T join, as they did a decent job with her in both X-Men Evolution (from Season 2 onwards, anyway) and Wolverine and the X-Men (as long as we don't talk about the hairstyle).
If Marvel is NOT just porting the X-Men '97 team over to the MCU, then yes, I'd argue that Kitty deserves a spot on the team. Though honestly, the real appeal of Kitty is how much she grew during her time with the team and I do not know if a movie franchise can tackle that with only 3 hours to tell each story.
She’s such an important member and I hate that they keep pretending she doesn’t exist 😭 however I have hope that they’ll introduce her in 97 …maybe season 2
When I saw Nightcrawler in the opening credits of 97’, it gave me hope that they can add anyone to the team. It use to irk me (even as a kid) when Colossus, Angel and Iceman were just cameo characters. My hope is that 97’ will continue to add members to the team in the upcoming seasons (including Kitty). I want that opening intro to be 20 characters deep if possible!
Glad she got a mention in the last episode of 97.
@@justinjacobs1501 Not even a verbal mention, just an acknowledgment of her existence! Well, better than nothing I suppose.
Legion mentioned. +100 points to Gryffindor
Such a refreshing series. And my boy Nightcrawler 👏 👏👏👏👏
Shut up
YES! I was so happy to see him kick ass in ep 8. Him and Gambit r my fav mutants of all time the devotion to beliefs nightcrawler has and Gambits devotion to his chosen family is amazing
@@mathewsmith8031 yes, this sentiment exactly is how I feel for them as well.
Yes, hair should fly 24/7 for people like Jean and Storm
I truly hope MCU uses XMen 97 as the blueprint for live action moving forward. This is the best they’ve put out so far period .. live action and animation included .
I hope they do something similar with their own take on the MCU X-Men but there's zero hope for the Avengers at this point.😂😂😂
Avengers have had their time to shine and completely fine to move away from them @@carnagerulez312
Man just seeing Spiderman just casually swinging around in the latest episode. Show far more better examples of these characters all sharing the same universe, than MCU in years.
3:03 this joke actually made a lot of sense if not for deleted scenes.
There were lots of scenes where Toad would say "you know when happens to a toad when it falls from a great height?" And then hear him chatter about an interesting toad fact and then later "you know what happens to a toad at very high heat? Well" and then on and on and on about toad facts that everyone hates and then it would end with (what I feel would have worked well with all the other lines left in) "when struck by lightning? Same thing that happens to everything else" but the complete setup was cut out of the movie.
So why leave the one terrible line lol
Lmao that actually wouldn’t have been that bad as she was just making fun of him. The way it is now she just made a goofy ass quip and acted like she did something
Lesson #1… Keep Taika Watiti as far away as possible
Unless it's a Mojoworld story, then I can't imagine anyone else better for the job.
@@ingonyama70it better not be a Mojoworld story. Those are always terrible
Nonsense. Thor:Ragnorak is a top-5 MCU film.
he made the best thor movie. please hush. you’re acting like he’s completely useless. HE LITERALLY MADE THE BEST THOR MOVIE
Taika Waiti is overhyped
I am LOVING the first season of X-Men '97. I pretty much jumped with glee when I saw Spider-Man make a brief cameo in the second-last episode. The various cameos when Rogue was going searching around really make me hope they plan to continue other series like Spider-Man and Iron Man from the 90's too.
Third-last. There will be 2 more episodes.
same i cheered out loud at like 3am alone in my room lmao
"Super-powered Ralph Bellamy" 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
You forgot Jubilee and Sunspot. That one even had fireworks.
Cyclops optic blasts DO cut and slice. They're concusive, yes, but many creators have had him shoot through the neck of a sentinel or straight up cut wolverines hand off like in Age of Apocalypse. It's amazing how both sides of the laser or concussive argument get it wrong. He's been shown to have both in the comics. A lot
If he focuses the beam narrowly enough, yes, it can cut things.
If nightcrawler is in the mix they can’t I repeat can’t downplay religion as a whole nightcrawler still has the best lines ever in both animated shows plus make him use swords
Speaking as someone who is NOT Christian in the slightest, Nightcrawler works best when he combines his faith with fun. The 1992 version was all faith, no fun, and the X-Men Evolution version was all fun, no faith. 1997 has almost got him right...they just need to have him stay the course of being both a priest and a swashbuckler.
And I agree, Swordcrawler is best 'Crawler.
KRAKOA ERA? LMAO, The Wolverine and Scott thing has been around BEFORE THAT! Sure, it's COMPLICATED! but there has been times where Wolverine will pick up Scott help him out and take him to a strip club to have him be socially ackward to a lady.
Personally i want more Emma frost and the cuckoo’s
Getting a proper Colossus was very refreshing in both Deadpools, We need a good, lethal ninja trained by Ogun Shadowcat, a properly written MCU Storm, and 97' Nightcrawler was so amazing against those prime sentinels!
I wonder if MCU will make Cyclops dad a Ravenger? They sound kind of similar to the Star Jammers.
I'm absolutely enthralled with '97! I love that they've made morph more like their Exiles version, but I would love to see their powers explored more. They can do more than just change into other people like Mystique, let morph go full cartoon shapeshifter like they could in the comics
The problem the latest MCU has is that it doesn't want to commit. X-Men 97 has commited in killing characters and advancing storylines, post-Endgame MCU does not want that, just one-issue stories with a lot of jokes. They are not even adapting anyhting at this point (omg Secret Invasion), just writing new stuff with ppl that doesn't know super-heroes or even action (like Echo).
I still think the best way Marvel could adapt the X-Men is just go straight into Hickman's X-Men. The first two scenes are of Moria in the original X-Timeline and then the Days of Future's Past timeline. Now we see all mutants on Krakoa with Xavier and Magneto working together and the movie is about the end of this mutant eden where we leave it with Krakoa destroyed, mutants becoming immigrants to new countries, Magneto leading a more militant wing...a Brotherhood...while the X-Men are lead by Xavier. Make it a part of the original stories, but use the Moria's multiple lives as a way to refresh it anew.
They did one hell of a job with X-Men 97. I went in with low expectations and each episode blew me away.
I hate to be that guy, but The Phoenix Saga is technically an invention of the 90s cartoon. I mean, the X-Men vs Shi'ar story in the comics was not officially labeled "The Phoenix Saga" (there are no trade papers calling it that). Because the story wasn't really Jean/Phoenix-centric, as the character barely appears in it.
That is why the other adaptations skip over the Phoenix Saga. Because it was never canon to the comics in the first place.
That’s not true. I’m reading the phoenix story now and next is the dark phoenix. Maybe I don’t understand what you mean
@@ebmax55I think OP means the events happend but they weren't a 'Saga'. The 1992 show tied the whole early Claremont run, from Jean becoming Phoenix up until the X-Men's first fight with the Shi'Ar Empire, together into a Saga where originally only loose threads connected those otherwise unrelated events.
@@ingonyama70 Correct. The Phoenix was not the guardian of the M'Kraan Crystal in the comic version of the story. That was some elf-like alien (whose name I forgot).
Exactly!. Thank you.
Hopefully the mcu can do the X-men justice
PREACH! Thank you for pointing all of this out. Oh how I wish the MCU corporate suits would listen to these wise words.
Lessons that MCU should learn from X-men:
Its an ensemble cast, not the wolverine show. Cyclops, Jean, Rogue, Magneto, Charles, Storm are all characters that could run their own movies. If anything de-emphasis Wolverine.
Xavier is not a perfect person, he screws up.
Give Rogue her super strength and flight. You don't have to do it the Ms Marvel route (I mean I wouldn't mind it personally) but give her those powers.
ITs okay to use mutants people haven't seen. Hell create new ones.
Do either Night of the sentinels or genocia storyline (you can do the original Genocia story first if you want to set up the later part). They HAVE to be threatened by humanity. Magneto should feel like he has a point and that he tried to do it the peaceful way first, second and third time and humanity refuses to accept.
Magneto needs to be front and center. The moment I knew the x-men fox movies screwed up was when Magneto showed up to a mutant rally and no one knew who he was.
Show other teams of mutants. X-force, X-factor, the Morlocks, The Brotherhood.
They need to keep the emotional roller coaster the series has given us. It’s what keeps me begging for the next episode as soon as the credits start.
Would love for them to make some arcs 2-4 episodes. They adapted some arcs too quickly and could’ve gone into some depth. Just minor complaint
The season finale is going to be 3 parts. But I agree that Inferno, at least, deserved at least one more episode.
Yeah that would definitely be my only complaint some episodes in the show would definitely better from a longer length time
3:11 FOR THE RECORD this was supposed to be like her “quippy phrase”. She was supposed to say stuff along the lines of “do you know what happens when X is struck by lightning” a lot more but they cut out all of the other lines of her saying it
"Mummy what's that number mean?"
I love that they aren't backing away from stuff like that.
I don't understand why the toad thing is so hated... I think it's brilliant.
Storm is a Goddess figure, and Toad is so far beneath her he doesn't matter at all.
I thought it was a humiliating insult... "You are nothing to me. You could be anything and it wouldn't matter"
same exact way i took it
Everybody keeps saying the MCU could never do this. It's literally Marvel Studios doing this. They understood the assignment.
9:10 No, that's Magneto
If an animated story is told in an awesome way, it doesn’t need a live action adaptation. Live action is not superior to animated
Correct! X-Men has always been just hot tea after hot tea. Just keep on spilling it and giving us the drama!
The main lesson for the MCU is “see? Make something good and people will enjoy it”.
Also make Wolverine short again and make sure he's not the only main character. In the live action movies it's basically Wolverine and also all these other people and any time there's a problem Wolverine is the only one who can fix it.
Legion can wink … and it‘s very dark and strange and wonderful.
The MCU better take notes!!! X-Men 97 is just nailing it. The writing has been fantastic and all characters are given justice 👏🏽. Those FOX movies could never.
It's in the MCU, same (exec)producer, studio, multiverse, etc, but I get your point.
Between this and Feige's efforts on the original films, there are reasons for high optimism.
As excited as I am for a new Live Action depiction of the X-men and mutants in general, I don't want it to come at the expense of animated series like X-men '97. I am all for great animation, and some stories honestly work better in animation, especially when the artists are given the time and direction to really make it pop like they did with '97. This added to the proof that animation can still be serious, and tell serious stories, and you don't have to be live action to make it hit home.
see i only grew up with xmen evolution and the fox movies i had no idea they had space adventures. my god the xmen have so much potential
Krakoa is literally an etnostate
Good lord. I literally mentioned to several friends that I am so happy to see an X-men story that IS NOT dark phoenix. I love that X97 is a continuation so that we're getting new actual stories.
Finally nerdist news is coming back, I was missing your extended analysis of episodes and trailers, where were you?
i want to see Franklin Richards on the big screen. he had a name drop in the original X-Men live action, now bring him in. and despite what you said...i want Phoenix/Dark Phoenix done properly. that story needs redemption!!!!
Spot on...I rarely agree 100% with these assessments, but you got it spot on here.
An adaptation of Havoc and Wolverine: Meltdown would be dope to give a more grounded story of Logan w/o the weight of the X-Men or Old Man Logan. Hell recast Havoc with Morph to give a buddy road trip vibe with a touch of will they or won’t they sexual tension.
Out of all the Marvel franchises, X-Men has to be the hardest to implement into the MCU. First, because comparisons will be inevitable, but mostly, because the X-Men universe is so FREAKING VAST, it's going to be a nightmare to introduce into the current state of the MCU. Not to mention the amount of characters. Just... who do you pick? There are some safe bets, sure (Professor X, Cyke, Jean, Wolverine, Storm and Magneto), but after that... you've got almost infinite possibilities. I just hope that, if they go for Rogue, they go for both Rogue AND Gambit. The cajun was already my favourite X-Men, but after chapter 5 of X-Men '97?
The throuple thing is not in the comics. There were vague references that fans assumed meant that, but theres been nothing explicit that scott, jean, and logan were a couple. The only vaguely explicit thing was a scene with logan and jean in a jacuzzi but really thats it. I think it was a cute little joke that fans took way too far while theres very little in the book.
Herr's a big one for me: The live action mcu X-Men should be a series with the occasional event movie.
There's too many characters with major arcs for movies alone to do justice. X-Men could almost be it's own universe with how many characters and story arcs there are.
97 proved that X-men works best as a series, and even those episodes seemed to have been rushing. Like they didn't have enough run time to do it justice.
What I love about 97 as a whole (not being a 90s kid mind you) is how actually mature the writing is for being what would usually be called a continuation of a kids show. People actually die in 97, they have struggles not just mentally but physically, and most importantly morals are called into question. That is what the MCU should be, and not just an outlet to crack some jokes or push an agenda (I’m looking at you She Hulk).
Completely agree with that assessment I just don't have enough faith that the MCU *can* do X-Men justice; I really really hope I'm proven wrong! I feel the exact same way about the DC animated work vs the "DCEU"
T shirt game is on point in this video.
Imagine the Kevin bot is sent there by mojo lmao
X-Men 97 is great. He needs to write some of the MCU. I don’t like how the current MCU killed off Battlestar when he supposed to get the super Soilder serum before U.S.Agent😳🤦🏾♂️
{4:49} - That's so "DEFINITELY" Not Gonna Be Easy... But I Get It?!
10:15 which MCU, movie was that scene with the alien, opening portals???
Guardians of the galaxy vol. 3
Night crawler
There is SO much material to work with, with the comics, for the X-Men, they could have their OWN MCU broad world...Start with the X-Men, touch on X-Factor, EXcalibur, the Dark X-Men, we already have X-Force, kinda, in the Deadpool movies, etc. And GODS I hope that they do Storm and Rogue justice. If it were the 90's, Iman would've been the PERFECT Storm. T-T
I feel like the script for this video was taken directly from my brain. That is to say, I could not agree more.
Yeah x men 97 is crazy. I saw this 4 times already.
Isn't xmen97 technically already mcu. You are asking disney to learn from what they are giving us now.
I think the means a version of the X-Men that could appear in live-action movies alongside folks like the Avengers.
The writer for X-men 97 got fired
I hope that after everything is rebooted, they can make animation tell the stories of the characters BETWEEN the movies to supplement a cohesive character arc throughout. Disney can do this with ALL of its MCU major characters. Let the animation do some crossovers and fix plotholes between the big live-action movies (like Dtar Wars had done). The best part of playing with my action figures as a kid was imagining what could happen when different characters have to work together or just hang out after "work."
Jubilee and Sunspot in the gaming episode.
What was that “PROBABLY NOT” frame?
Optic Blasts are eye-hadoukens or eye-kamehameha
You nailed this list.
we gotta enjoy this while we can bc Disney isn't bringing Beau DeMayo back
who?
They need him back. His writing is perfection for the X-Men.
@@LiquidSnake1988 He was the director of Xmen '97 and was recently fired by Disney for having an Only Fans...I wish I was making this up.
@LiquidSnake1988 Beau DeMayo is the creator and Head writer of Xmen 97
@@kokujinstreamsthat’s not it. he was also apparently extremely toxic to work with and for.
Giant Sized X-Men should be the first adaptation. New mutants ( without much previous screen time) rescue familiar characters from Krakoa While villains seek to exploit the island for themselves.
Where's your breakdown of Deadpool & Wolverine trailer!! I need it 😂
Eye lighsabers would be pretty cool
Point of order: They *can* melt things through sustained friction, but that isn't common and won't occur after a single quick (or even prolonged) blast.
Well, that was an interesting way to fix the immediate problem, degauss everything.
Very excellent take! I would say x-men 97 excels because it is unapologetically faithful to the comic. The MCU seems to be more and more unrecognizable to the source material. Even What if… seems to more live action related than comic source related
It's faithful when it can be, and deviates when it needs to.
Madelyne and Scott's relationship was a lot more fraught and complicated in the comics, and left Cyclops looking like a grade-A scumbag for years after the fact. He's a lot more sympathetic in 97.
Genosha had zero X-Men there when it was first attacked in E is for Extinction; Xavier sensed it happening but couldn't scramble a team in time, so the X-Men were only able to pick up the pieces and rescue the likes of Emma Frost and Polaris from the rubble. Having Rogue, Gambit, and Madelyne there, as well as lots of people we recognize, made the drama hit so much harder.
And at time of this comment, Bastion's origin has been changed to be much more 'grounded' and less magical than he is in the comics, where magic is involved in making him what he is.
Give me X23 and Honeybager
Don't forget Jonathan. 😉
Oh Bright Lady, the serup needed for them to work... >.
We seen X23 in Old Man Logan already
i wish they would do age of apocalypse in either animation or live action.
I can't remember if I replied to you in a different video, but I want to see AOA version of Rogue brought to screen.
You shouldn't try to adapt a whole comic book arc. To envoled and only fun for someone who read and liked
I honestly don't know if I trust Marvel to do X-Men as a whole right. Sure Deadpool has done great and I do have some hope for the continuation of Daredevils story, but the MCU will come out with one or two great projects then drop the ball literally everywhere else. I guess we'll just have to wait and see 🤷🏾♂️
Your killing me Smalls.....Even X '94 had Wolverine lustin over Jean and Sinister was forcing and watching Jean and Scott to have his baby
X-Men when done right is peak Marvel, so it’s the greatest challenge for MCU by far.
yes the mcu needs to take notes this 97 is excellent we got the drama the multiple relationships. A proper Magneto the man is complicated and has been both a hero a villain and in between. Fox did Cyclops so dirty they basically sidelined him in favor of Wolverine. They can both coexist and they bring different things to the team. Show us a properly done Emma frost she is absolutely awesome, Give us comic accurate costumes. Hell the avengers have them. show us the blue the yellow and everything in between. and for love of god show us the mutant culture we so often see in the comics. Utopia Astroid X, Krakoa choose on down the line. Show us all of these things
8:31 Cyclops Optic Blast is like equal to Ryu's Hadoken from Street fighter🤔🤗
we’ll watch it anyway whatever they release
The Xmen should be the more “adult” properties and let the other MCU stuff be the kiddy stuff
mcu needs to read comics from rogue and gambit relationship if they want references to all things sexy. now that's a sexy ass couple.
Another Idea I had, was start off with the Krakoa Story. Back when the original Team had to go to Krakoa because of people going missing only to learn it was a living Island and get captured. Their First Failure. This could also introduce the second X-men Team that Xavier hobbles together to rescue them.. the Failure/Success of that.. Which could even introduce an end credits scene of the President Talking with his Cabinet and giving Trask the Go ahead with his Sentinel project.
Krakoa is incredibly popular and a fantastic story...
...But I'd argue it shouldn't be the starting point. Krakoa is like Genosha; for it to be seen as a safe haven by the audience, then the baseline has to be established that without a Genosha, Krakoa, or Xavier Institute, NO mutant is safe.
Xavier's, Genosha, and ESPECIALLY Krakoa, are insulated safe-spaces (non-derogatory) where the mutant population can live without persecution, at least until they're brought down. The need for that needs to be established before we set up the place itself.
@@ingonyama70 Not talking about the Current Krakoa.. Talking about the Original Story when they first Found Krakoa when Krakoa was actively luring people there and killing them.
Ha. Mojo literally can't wink.
Is it just for ot X-Men 97 had life lesson dialogues all over??
Basically, we need MCU writers to remember that this isn't Rick & Morty and we need a balance in self aware humor.
These were such great points made from adapting animation to cinematic film.
Here is to hoping Marvel is in the bushes taking notes 🗒️
THIS. 100%
🙋🏾♂️ I loved it. The story, and how good it was knocked me for six...
The lesson should be fully animated movie length trilogies
If I were to be the one writing X-Men based Movies for the MCU, I'd want to start off maybe in some of the Earlier story lines Pre-Wolverine Era perhaps. Start with the Original Team, Give audiences a chance to see them fight against smaller time villains while teasing After credit scenes of bigger things happening, Kind of like how the Avengers were starting up. So that way maybe 3-4 Movies down the line we could have the Introduction to Magneto and his Brotherhood, or the Sentinels. Then go from there.
If I had to do it more Modern era, Maybe I'd start with the X-Men Apocalypse Era. Start off with Professor X being Assassinated and the whole movie franchise is the X-men from THAT content having to Survive Apocalypse being in charge. Scenes like Cyclops cutting off Wolverine's arm, Juggernaut as a Monk, etc. Maybe even be following either Bishop, Cable, or both as they try to set the world "Right" but do it maybe over 3 movies in total if necessary.
Could also be better if done after the Previous suggestion first. Introduce the Audience to the X-men, then have Xavier get Assassinated and the whole world turned upside down.. IDK.. Just there are so many stories they could pick from that haven't been used yet that would be fascinating to see on the big screen provided the Studio/Investors don't feel like they have to decide how the movie will be done, but the writers, director (That's right ONE director! No more of this Different directors for each movie nonsense!) and staff will be solely in charge and to blame if it fails.
But the blast can cut things like in the movie where he cuts a tree down
"Well that just happened." Is not a problem.
It is when everyone says it, or something like it, every film.
A comedic character who undercuts serious moments, like Spider-Man, Iron Man, Jubilee, or Morph, is fine. But when every character is like that all the time, it sterts robbing even serious moments of their gravitas. There's a time for levity and a time for drama, and the MCU has only realized the power of truly dramatic moments that aren't done away with in a single glib comment relatively recently.
I'm not saying the pendulum should swing the other way and the movies NEVER be funny - I despised the DCEU until Aquaman and Shazam brought some much-needed lightness to what I saw as a dark, depressing universe. But there's a balance that neither company has quite managed to strike yet.
@ingonyama70 Thank you. This reply makes your issue a little clearer for me👍🏾. Balance is always key in life & art. I still have less of an issue with it than you do. I just don't necessarily see it as "undercutting". Often, it's just a natural response. It's how people I know react to "similar" situations. It was also a very good way to bring the mass audience into that world when they weren't that keen to. "What do they call you, wheels?" That was invaluable at a time when these films were fighting their way back. ( slightly different instance).
The MCU has had many uninterrupted dramatic moments since Iron Man & a few genius, perfectly complimented dramatic parts flashing to humour in Ragnarok (when he's on his game Taila is a master at it).
I see your point, I just genuinely find that if there's a scale going 1-10, I'm just a couple of units away from you.
Thanks again for the detailed reply.🖖🏾
@@ingonyama70this idea that EVERYONE in the mcu is quipping 24/7 needs to die. it’s simply not true. everything in the mcu is not a joke ALL the time. they didn’t quip through wakanda forever. but what’s funny is the one movie where they completely overdid comedy that undercut the story and stakes was Guardians 3…which is the only “good” recent marvel movie to a lot of fans. so yall don’t even know what you want lmao
