@@yelkhan2002 SlackerVK is my inspiration for this channel! I learnt a lot from him, when I was starting he was my fave channel. I wanted to be as good as him but then also teach the songs as well. Basically make the channel I would've wanted to see when I was 14/15 again :)

@@dgguitars4091 also impressive that you're able to get that sound of a strat. what gear / FX? and is the guitar tuned to C, or are you using a drop-tune pedal / software?
theradu123 using all in built stuff in Ableton for the tone and yeah the guitar is tuned to C standard, using thicker gauge strings on this fender.

Hey man just doing some QOTSA appreciation on RUclips and found your channel. I love it, keep it going!
I've a cheap squire strat sitting unloved, you've inspired me to get some heavy strings on it and tune to C so I can learn this.
Any advice on string size to down tune so far? And is C a common tuning for QOTSA? I want to learn lots of their songs.
Awesome thank you! C standard is the main tuning for the older albums, then it’s slowly gets more to standard tuning and D standard tuning, I can’t quite remember I think I used these - www.daddario.com/products/guitar/electric-guitar/nyxl/nyxl1260-nickel-wound-extra-heavy-12-60/
You’ve gotta get your guitar properly set up for it though otherwise it’s not gonna really work. Hope this helps

Absolutely nailed the tone, I’ve known how to play this for awhile but can’t seem to get the tone quite right, I know it’s in C standard , any tips on achieving it?
Boost 400 800 and 1.6k a bit and use the bridge pickup. Don't dial in all too much low end and use the bridge pickup. Its a really difficult one to perfectly imitate without the right amp though.
