Failing Into Infinity didn't please the producers st the time (the initial company with whom DT signed an album was Vought by thèse guys and the wanted more "commercial" music. It almost destroyed the since Portnoy was ready to leave the band instead of what being told about what he was supposed to write or composed. They mademoiselle enough songs for a two disks but the producers ended with only une, that's why DT offered a "b Side" disk to their fans with this session .

It's unbelievable that this song isn't that well-known at all... LaBrie sounds magical, even in mere recovery from back in '94. I must say, I'm a proud owner of that DVD.

@phonohead it's a DT original and you can find the studio version of this in a bootleg called Cleaning Out the Closet that has amazing songs never released and 2 different versions of To Live Forever :)

I don't understand why Dream Theater never included this track on an album.
But they did: on the fan CD 1999 Cleaning out the Closet.
It doesn't count. It's not a studio album. They have plenty of compilations and fan service albums.
Melvin Garcia - It was available as "Bonus Tracks" on the Japanese version of the album ;).
