LaBrie at this DT era is awesome.
LaBrie sounds great here. I'm not insane for every choice he makes vocally (particularly the over-breathy uber-vibrato thing), but you can't deny his frickin' versatility. Plus he's a good dude. He's good at staying out of the way and not making the band his ego vehicle. No Lead Singer's Disease.
he's really grown on me, used to hate the vocals in DT but now really love them in some of the songs.

Anthony Grandinetti the reason it sounds off beat is because there's a delay going out to the speakers. If you've ever been to a concert you'd notice this. Since this was a DVD I'm sure they fixed the delay

DT is definitely one of the most talented if not the most talented Progressive Metal bands. In my opinion Symphony X is just as talented but in a different way. In my opinion Russel Allen is a much better singer than Labrie. Other bands that are on the level of being the most talented category are Yes and Emerson Lake and Palmer. They are just as talented if not more talented in a whole different way because their approach is not metal.

I feel completely hypnotised by La Brie and watching him sing. Sometimes it's difficult to listen to and I feel for him, but then he just blows me away with one of his melodies.

Short haired Petrucci is the only one, in my eyes. Him with long hair is still as odd for me as it would be to see Myung bald, Jordan with hair, Portnoy in a sweater vest, or LaBrie with the respect he deserves ;)

Also, this was filmed amazingly. Focused each and every band member perfectly.
I remember buying this album at a Target a few days after its release on a rainy day.. the album matched the atmosphere of that day. Definitely a favorite album from DT. (I also have this DVD and the 5.1 sound is amazing)

Love Dream Theater. Somehow the only DVD I have of them in concert is the Breaking the Fourth Wall concert. Needless to say, as a bass player, it's great to see footage from a concert DVD that I can actually hear John Myung on. His tone here is amazing.

Why is my mind brought to the Edge of Eternity whenever I listen to these guys? The intelligence and emotion of this music is so intense, it's unreal. The source of their inspiration seems inhuman. I LOVE IT!
The live music has a power to it that the studio albums just can't approach. If you're a DT fan, it's a must buy.
