You did a good job restoring that billhook machete. It looks much better than before and it cuts like a sharp knife. I also like that new handle. Excellent work.
Amazing! Love your work! 2 questions: -any particular reason why you don't use sandblasting? -despite the oil in the end, sanding part of the cold bluing does expose the metal to oxidation, correct? Cheers from Portugal! 🇵🇹🙏
I don't really like sandblasting. I use sandblasting when there is a lot of rust. After cold blueing, I wash the item very well with soap and water and then cover with oil.
I really like it when you sand the pitted metal after cold bluing it. It gives it a wonderful contrast and bears witness to its age. Another fine job!
Thank you!

We call that shape a ‘corn knife’ here in the frozen north. But some here don’t even know what a machete is. Nice job.
Here in Finland we call that shape a "vesuri", however vesuri is always double beveled.
Well done
PERFECT 👌👌
Coś pięknego, i wszystko ręczna robota!

@@ReXtorer thanks for the answer! Keep up this amazing work! :)
Nice job! 👍🏻
But I have a question about the welding on the cracks: doesn't it change the hardening of the blade?
Hi! Yes, partially changes tempering. After welding, I hardened that section of the blade. The hardness of the blade has changed, but not critically.
Que linda. Da ela de presente pra mim?😍🇧🇷
Wow, again another amazing result! Great to watch.
1 question, which oil do you use directly after cold blueing?
Thank you! I use sewing machine oil
@@ReXtorer great! Thank you, I'll add it to the shopping list 👍🏻
Is this a re-upload? I feel like I have seen this bill hook before.
