I love my Inkjoy gel pens the best. I also just started using the Sharpie gel pens and so far am loving them. I’ve never used colored pencils before so I decided to go with the Amazon ones first. I’m excited to try them out.
I bought the Inkjoys and the Zebra Sarassas based on your last rec video and I love them!! I use them daily in my work planner and for my novel companion!
Update: Ordered the Inkjoys again (still great) and decided to expand my Sarasa collection. I got the Pastel set and both the Vintage sets. The Vintage are beautiful! Cool colours and very smooth. The Pastel are nice colours and they show up well on backgrounds or over other colours but they are definitely not as smooth!
@@alexisthomas9671 I'm still using them and I don't find there's much bleeding through the pages! The Vintage ones are thinner and they don't bleed at all!

Oh my gosh, I have all the same pens/pencils as you with the exception of one of the small brush sets! lol Right now my favorites are Tul 0.5, Pentel Energel Clena 0.5, and the Sharpie S-Gel 0.5. I am being a weird hoarder with my Zebra Sarasa Dry 0.5 for no other reason than just having one. I need to just buy a pack of them because I'm left-handed and they really are fast drying. Great video! I love seeing other people who love pens as much as I do! :)

I have issues with the gel pens. When I am writing all of a sudden they stop working. Any tips?? I loved the ink joy gel pens but feel I need to shake or blow on the ink tube to get them to work
That's the thing about gel pens I hate. I have had really good success with the TUL gel pens from Office Depot. They are the smoothest gel pens I have used, and have rarely skipped. I think it really just comes down to the quality of the pen.
Yes, I will be doing a set-up video. There are some planner orders that are delayed right now so I wanted to wait a little bit until some of those planners starting moving before I do that video. Hopefully in early January! :)
I'm new to the world of planning and looking to get some pens, highlighters, and colored pencils for my planner. However I have no idea where to begin...I did watch the video but now I feel more overwhelmed...do you have any advice for newbies? Thanks!
My advice would be to start small. I would recommend getting one set of pens, a small set of highlighters or just one or two individual ones and a small set of coloured pencils. I think the Pentel Energel or the Papermate Inkjoy pens are a great choice for beginners - both have lots of colours and are really smooth and vibrant. You could even just start with one black pen, one highlighter and a small set of coloured pencils. Just go with whatever your comfortable with and you can always expand from there while you learn what you like and what works for you.
@@LittleInklings Thanks for the advice! I spent about an hour at Michael's trying different pens, highlighters, and colored pencils! Tonight I finished my goals page with my new pens and I love how it turned out!
This is awesome! Do you ever use the Stabilo 0.4 mm fine liner pens? I use the to color and they look like pencils, do you think they would be good for the planner?

I also have the novel companion and I'm struggling with everything I have bleeding through! How are the Zebra Sarassas on those thin pages?
