I can really vouch for Zebra Mark-On. Not only does it dry very quickly and is smudge-proof, it also doesn’t smudge under highlighters. Also, I think its the only pen I know that not/barely smudge over whiteout. Most of time I write over a whiteout with pens like the pilot g-2 and pilot juice, the smudge is just way too much that I don’t even understand what I’m writing.
Yes it doesnt smudge at all even under highlighter but why does mine dry so quick☹️
I’m glad you mentioned whiteout. This was helpful for me as it seems once you put that stuff down there’s no writing on it. Have you noticed the same with correction tape?
I don’t like it, it’s too scratchy.
pentel energel infree is also GREAT! it has no smudge as well
try pentel energel! its smoother than the mark on and dries instantly

Tbh the most important part of a pen for me is it’s dry time cause I’m left handed and pretty much smudge everything
hi, can i ask what pen/s do you use that does not smudge? i'm left handed as well. i also have pasma which makes it worse.
in my case of being left handed, i use the pentel energel sometimes. I mostly use the Pilot Hi-Tec-C (also known as the G-Tec) but I'm not sure with that for anyone else. But i'd recommended the energel :)

@@michdefatty5887 The energel dries rather fast so highlighting right after won't harm the ink, with the g-tec, it takes a couple seconds to dry, but it's fairly good for highlighting
I’d suggest zebra super speed. It dries easily and fits well for left handed people , so you won’t smudge your work

I am very surprised that the Pentel energel and the Uniball signo dx didn’t make it in your list. But I have to agree, the zebra sarasa mark on is also my top 1 ✨

I've been taking notes both in a notebook and a journal for over 20 years and I've tried just about every pen and pencil that was given to me and I have chosen a Parker pen with a fine point Fisher space pen cartridge in blue to be the most effective. I have notes that are over 20 years old and the ink on the paper is just fine. No fades or runs. No need to spend all that extra money on pens and pencils.

PENTEL Energel & ZEBRA Mark On (0.5mm) is my choice, it dries quickly and also smudge proof.

My faves of all time are the UNI Lacknock Made in Japan pen and the Pilot G-Tec Gel pen. Mostly, Japanese brands are great ones.

I didn't pay attention to the differences pen designs can make and after realising I prefer the lidless pens I looked up for this video. Pens with lids are something I can't work with and would never choose again.
I've narrowed it down to the Tul DS501 (super smooth gels), Pilot 0.5 Juices, (0.4's good, esp Hi TecC 4 and 5, if you dont mind Coleto or caps); Acroball or Zmulsions in 0.7 fine, a few Bics, definitely Zebra G402 (0.5 and 0.7), or F402 with Medium refill. Cross now has 0.5 gels, and the Porous points are kinky cool. Not forgetting Parker Navigator and Sheaffer fines, or Uni and Papermate gels. Vicuna 0.7's are still great but Pentel's got it in limbo for now. Hope for the comeback.
The Pilot 0.38 was sold out at my local Target 😞. Anyway, I bought some of these per your suggestion and it really took my notes to a new level!

I love the Pilot pens when it comes to 1.0 mm tip.. I love my thicker pens.... if u know wut I mean?!? Like a gel pen consistency which the pilot 1.0 mm pen has :) I have to edit this hehe.... I think I might have got the size wrong it was the 0.5 AND 1.0 mm tip as well

I haven't tried the .38 of g2 and for the .5, it's very true in my case, nagpuputol-putol talaga siya. My zebra sarasa .5 clip (The black one) that I own is also inconsistent kahit di ko naman siya nabagsak. I also own pilot juice and I love it. Yung 1 and 2, sure yan na mildliner-proof haha! Those highlighters are very notorious sa pag smudge ng gel pens and these 2 pens are incredibly strong vs mildliners and other highlighters. Leftie-friendly, too! If tama ang pagka-remember ko, these 2 pens dry in 5secs. 💯👌🏼

I've used the sarasa pen ever since I needed to use pens and I can assure you THEY ARE REALLY NICE!! All the sizes are just really good. Idk about the others thoo! I do definitely recommend Sarasa :)

1st gen Juice is the winner for me in this comparison. At 0,4 the ink is the blackest and little bit glossy.

Have you used a Parker Classic or Parker Jotter?? Comes with Medium Point Blue Ink, however you can buy the Refill Fine Point Black Ink if you prefer thinner lines. Any Office Supply Store (Office Depot/Max, Staples) should carry them.

The pilot juice up is better than the juice pen. I also suggest you try the uni jetstream 👌I think you'll enjoy it.

Pens I actually use and love:
-Zebra Sarasa 0.3 and 0.4 (i bought it while i was in cebu for the rspc and I love it!)
-Pilot G-Tec 0.4 (i really love it! My mother bought it for me and the ink is almost down lol)
-Pentel energel 0.5 (i use the refills only because the sarasa body was empty. It was really smooth and really great with highlighters!)
-And... A few My Gel pens lmao (they are common, and affordable haha)
-i also use a micron sometimes (i use the 01 tip)
I love the Pentel Energel and it's honestly my go to pen. However I find the 0.5 a little thick to my taste so I use the 0.3 refills (it's the most similar in thickness to the Pilot Metropolitan fine nib). I also found that the Pentel Energel X body is pretty similar to the Sarasa body, so I use that!
