    Major props for the Wylie's Hat! That was my bait store growing up. Nothing like playing hooky, grabbing some bait at Wylie's an exploring the Malibu coastline.

    Hi Ken. I was just up at Fort Point and did some fishing. It was a crystal clear day. I was right under the bridge. What a beautiful sight. No fish caught but met few nice guys and talked fishing.

    I’m always looking for new fishing RUclipsrs . Can’t believe I just found you man. Sounds like fishing is your passion and you want everyone to learn and respect the ocean. I bet there’s thousands of more fisherman out there that haven’t found your channel yet. Do some wild challenges to get the new kids on board. Not trying to tell you how to run your RUclips but I feel like many more people haven’t found your channel and all it takes is one good video to capture the audience ! Good luck! And tight lines ! Ima order your books!

    Our fisherie here in SF has been overfished for years and it's nothing of what it used to be…as a veteran like yourself, ... You should know what I'm talking about... The perch you speak of.. their numbers are depleting rapidly… back in the day... The Red Tail Perch were as big as turkey platters... Not any more…! Stripers use to be so abundant under the Golden Gate Bridge... Not any more…!…. Even the Halibut, ... Far and few in-between…!
    I've noticed other species have moved into the bay since I was a kid... I too have been around the block quite a few times in the Richmond District…

    Midsummer with live anchovies works best. Use 4oz+ weights and wear warm clothes, its freezing even in the summer.

    Informative as usual. I just happen to purchase the camping chair shown at 4:06. Is this pier opposite the Baker point pier?

      It's on the opposite side of the bay/bridge from the Fort Baker pier.

      I do not recommend this place for the weekends, it’s extremely packed!! Try a weekday or maybe just the surf right to the pier.

    Just don't cast in the middle of "square." You will get tangled on underwater structure.

      😂 Yeaa if you walk out on the L and give a good cast back toward the beach you'll definitely get snagged up, good man tryna give people the heads up! Lol

    Are casting nets legal to use at torpedo Wharf pier ?

  • @wildweasel6898
    @wildweasel6898 11 месяцев назад

    Ken, next time you are in the bay area and need blood worms you should swing by Benicia bait and tackle store. They almost always have them as well as pile worms. You will need to go somewhere else for live anchovies tho.

    THEY BETTER HOPE THE GAME WARDEN DOESNT SEE THOSE DUNGENEES CRABS BECAUSE IT IS ILLEGAL TO CATCH DUNGENEES IN THE BAY AND THE TORPEDO WHARF IS IN THE BAY.
