  • Here I installed a mixer valve that we can use to feed a one-pipe system going outside. Often we only have one pipe and to use a traditional mixer you need 2 pipes going out to the valve.
That is if you want the mixer valve outside. I had to install this for a French guy in Holland, apparently the French shower in the open air. I had to take a hot and a cold pipe through his living room.
You can add a normal mixer under the sink but it takes up way too much room. To me, this is tight, elegant and does the job.
This is a quick, easy and cheap fix for anyone who might find it useful.

I was asked to provide a hot and cold garden tap in the garden so they could fill the paddling pool. I kept it simple and connected the hot and cold from the sink to the tap and puta isolator with handle on each. Instructions were turn which ever they want on .

The important thing is to have check valves on them and by doing it your way you can never gauge the temperature. You would have to guess or un time you would get used to knowing how much to open each valve.
This way I can leave it wherever it is and adjust it for the purpose I need it for. You're idea works too. It's whatever purpose they have for the tap. Thanks for sharing Richard 👍

Its was just for the kids paddling pool so cheap and cheerful. Probably used once and then they realised how much it cost to fill with hot water!!!

@@richardlewis5316 very good point. They're better using a pool pump with a sand filter and use glass beads to keep the pool clean. They're only £125 as a package. Bag of salt and salt generator.
My old neighbour did what you said and refilled the pool every 4 days. 9 cubic meters of water is £9 every 4 days. Depending on how much you pay for your water.
I would only recommend using your hot water if you have solar thermal due to using free heat during the day. I'll be trying fdifferent things this summer to test the water heaters and see which one is best and cheapest. It may even be a minisplit.
But it has to include everything. Service cost and overall cost. Plenty more videos on the way ;)

An idea is to put a screw through the handle hole and fix it to the cupboard. Then you don’t need to keep replacing the cable ties. Also love the idea.
