There's a company called aquor water systems that make a Hot+Cold Hydrant - granted it's 300 quid, but it would have saved you all those fittings, and the internal faff. It's also frost rated and drains down every time you disconnect the hose.
Thermostatic Mixing Valve for Shower £17 installed under sink, pipe to outside and connected to a handheld bidet sprayer also £17 - easy and smart looking. No need for 2kg of brass work hanging off the wall.
Is there a certain spec of hose or shower head you need to use for this? Was looking at a job like this and wasn't sure if standard stuff would hold up over time?
Hah, Charlie DIYte published a vid about the same thing recently. I'm not wild about the idea of having the thermostatic mixing valve hidden away. Is there a good reason not just to put a "normal" shower bar outside? Would that suffer in the weather?
Okay okay, Im not a plumber although training! What happens when you need to remove the plugs? Would you have to cut the cable? Or is the other end removable from the machine Cheers!
If you ever find yourself in Devon you can come and sort my plumbing out , need a fair bit need doing but probably too far away from you , worth asking though .
Couple ways I noticed that you could have avoided the sockets, but you got paid at the end of the day. You could buy a dust sheet out of those reddies so next time you won't have to worry about putting tools ontop of customers worktops?
I would hate to be the spark that needs to do an EICR there and take that off, totally dumb idea. Why does the customer need to change the temperature setting constantly, these things are set and forget.
Jimmy, I'm a little disturbed that you didn't remove your sticky label from the pipe before you pressed it, bad lad....... All joking aside I've just fitted an external Doggy Spa which claims to be frost proof from a company called Challis based in the UK, it's a complete unit with combined check valves but the only down side is you do have to blend the water temperature manually on the external outlet but the plus side is that apparently you do not have to vent any standing water within the system to prevent freezing, guess the proof is in the pudding, I'll keep you posted. Ps. Hope Ted, Emily and yourself are doing well....
when you think that the DIY bodge job would have been to run a couple of flexis, i bet bet he's well happy that he dropped 600 notes and got a run of perfectly brasso'd copper covering his plug socket.
So you can’t use it in the winter when dogs get more muddy and therefore have more need to use it. Mounting the shower that high up, must have a bloody big dog. Pointless.
Course you can use it in the winter, just be mindful of freezing weather (like with any outdoor shower install) the only thing that’s pointless is a broken pencil!
Call me Fick, but why couldn't the leavers go on the side of the sink unit just before the mixer? I'm sure there is a reason hope I might learn sumfink 😂
A dog's shower, it looks more like a dog's dinner. How tall is the dog? The pipe over the electrics and the kinked hose, which wasn't kinked before you started, not impressed.

Finally, we get to see plumberparts having a golden shower
My Mrs type this?
Excuse me sir, you covered the switches, But luckily i am not a plumber and connot comment. :) have fun watching though. Keep up the good videos :)
Plumberparts has a new video, my day is instantly better!
13:11 nice place for the shower head right above the electric socket ... yes i know its supposed to be waterproof.
Very smart job. Well done.

They certainly must have a very tall dog. 🐶
nope they don’t😂
Thermostatic Mixing Valve for Shower £17 installed under sink, pipe to outside and connected to a handheld bidet sprayer also £17 - easy and smart looking. No need for 2kg of brass work hanging off the wall.
I was more worried when I seen plugs under the sink 😂 there was 4 bloody sockets their 😂
What a good idea 👍
Corr is this the start of a Plumber Parts vs Charlie DIYte turf war? ;)
what thinking the same thing!!! Think I'd get James to do mine! ;-)
FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT!
Ha! Someone else said he’d done a vid. I chat to Charlie over the phone fairly regularly and he’s a lovely bloke!
@@plumberparts phoning him at 3am and heavy breathing isn't a chat 🤣
@@johnadams1976Oy 😢😂
I installed a hot mix at the front for washing the bikes, washes the crap off so much better, but drains the HW tank and costs a f*****g fortune.
Hi where do u get that copper sheath from?? Could u use duct tape on the copper pipe, will that stop the cement rust
Hot shower outside, for pets, I love it, it’s something crazy that I would do. 😂😂😂
7:39 you covered the sockets ( not switches) anyway.
Cheeky you hiding the last difficult elbow in the return pipe into the wall was finally a compression fitting instead of a crimp like the rest! 🤣
Great point!
OK, serious question. Why not Speedfit over that overly complicated copper stuff??
Because we are professionals
@@mike-ology22😂
Wouldn't the tap serve as the drain-off?
I've got an outside sink with hot and cold taps. Luxury having a hot tap outside.
Is there a certain spec of hose or shower head you need to use for this? Was looking at a job like this and wasn't sure if standard stuff would hold up over time?

Ah I'd had no idea and we often speak on the phone. Lovely guy!
@@plumberparts Charlie thanked you for advice in his video
@@kempshottThanks buddy - and he helped me with the first dog shower. Funny old coincidence 😉
Okay okay, Im not a plumber although training! What happens when you need to remove the plugs? Would you have to cut the cable? Or is the other end removable from the machine
Cheers!
you hire an electrician to move the sockets
Hi James
Why not try a bullfinch 6088
I have a question. In my area, there's hard copper tubes and soft copper tubes. They told me hard copper can't be bent. So what version are you using?
Can't believe he covered up those sockets with that handle. Shocking.
What a fvcking mess.
😂😂😂
You spell that with a U mate! 😂
Yeah lazy and bloody stupid
Nice Jimmy Nice 😂
😎👍🤜
Why check valve?
You gotta be the most experienced, famous unconfident plumber I’ve come across😂
Had a outside shower for years. Cal it a hose, only cold water though 😅
Typical plumber job, its the easiest/quickest way
how big is the dog
T2o os taps and screw a bar mixer on
Hi , what's the best make reasonably price under sink water heater please. Thank you
They use anti-freeze valves on heat pump installations, could you use one on this?
No. U do not use anti freeze for non heating related plumbing that can possibly be ingested.
How would that even work when its not a closed system and the anti-freeze will just be washed out when you open the tap?
@@elobiretv @truefalse207 Not "anti-freeze". "Anti-freeze *VALVES*".
@@Leo99929 Oh yeah my mistake 😂
You can use it after you use your swimming pool ermm in October
I did this for the hot tub. Cost £10-£20 to heat from cold or a £2-£5 to fill with the correct temperature.
Watering can job done
£350 to you! 😂
Put hot tap in and bolt a bar mixer on them
If you ever find yourself in Devon you can come and sort my plumbing out , need a fair bit need doing but probably too far away from you , worth asking though .
Was this inspired by Charlie DIYte, who did a similar thing coupa days ago!? Didn't watch as I don't have a dog and it would only p**s off the cat 😆
If you watch it I'll buy you a 🍻 at the next Makers Central 😉
@@CharlieDIYte Haha, hello mate 👍 Yeah alright I'll give it a watch, keep up the good work btw 👏
Hi, just out of interest, why the check valve and where?
you do know them door hinges are quick release no need to unscrew the door😀
No they’re not.
Why did you use press fit Jimbo not sure you explained it enough times 😂
Is that masking tape on the pipes where you're t'ing into the hot and cold 🤔🤔
image if you chipped the work top 😮
Is Max the name of the camera person?
No he’s talking to the dog.
That kinked hose at 13:06 😔

You seemed to be using a ratceting adjustable spanner. Have you got a link. :)
Yes mate, got them on my list here: www.amazon.co.uk/shop/plumberparts/list/2S8OVJEHGFSTA?ref_=aip_sf_list_spv_ofs_mixed_d
You've covered the switches...
No if you look closely I did! 😂
Errmm you covered up the switches with your pipework 🙄 🤣🤣
Did I?! 😂
Looks ugly to me I would use a portable shower head from the kitchen tap, means you can pack it up when you are not using it and minus all the fuss
If the customer is ok with the sockets being covered , before you cover them then fine.
when you think that the DIY bodge job would have been to run a couple of flexis, i bet bet he's well happy that he dropped 600 notes and got a run of perfectly brasso'd copper covering his plug socket.
It was £800 mate. Don't get out of bed for a grand usually. And that's only when your Mum calls!

All that work to have a shower head like that!!! I’m hoping that’s a dog shower!!!!
expensive shower eh! I don't even like the look of it! Nice big rain water head on there please, with a hose for the dog ;-)
Nowhere else you could've put it, no where at all, not even on the right hand side of the cupboard.. nope no space there
In all honesty, that installation is poorly planned out.
Should have installed on the right hand side, or routed around the sockets.

Is the lovely customer yourself by any chance? 😅
