How to do pipework lagging in a cylinder cupboard using our free template

Here I am lagging the pipes in the cylinder cupboard on a heat pump install and whole house conversion. I was working for V4 Renewables at the time, a daughter company of Alto Energy formerly known as Ice Energy in Oxfordshire. The reason I'm rushing it a bit is because I'm not getting paid to film the video and still need to crack on with my work. I'm not used to making videos so may seem a bi...

How to install hot water tap outside for your dog
Просмотров 2,6 тыс.9 месяцев назад
Here I installed a mixer valve that we can use to feed a one-pipe system going outside. Often we only have one pipe and to use a traditional mixer you need 2 pipes going out to the valve. That is if you want the mixer valve outside. I had to install this for a French guy in Holland, apparently the French shower in the open air. I had to take a hot and a cold pipe through his living room. You ca...
Wrapped Heat pump

At a customer's house fixing a leak today, I saw what Pat did to his heat pump. I wanted to share it with you. Maybe you've seen it before, or maybe you haven't. I think it looks good, what do you think? Let me know in the comments below.
How to cut lagging with our Free template

I've added the file to my Google Drive. When printing the documents you want them to print both sides. I found it best to have the other side upside down so you flip it vertically and it's the right way up. what printer did you use?
Anycubic kobra. The boxing one is made with photoshop removing the background. Then I used PowerPoint to build up the layers and lithophane maker online to create the finished stl file ready for bambu labs slicer. I prefer that over cura and get way better prints with the stock values This printer is over 3 years old, if I was to buy one now, it would be the bambu lab enclosed printer. Their detail in products are pretty good and take away the need to keep tinkering with the machine. That's my personal choice, anyway. Thanks for watching
Liked and subscribed. I see some good potential in this channel. Some feedback if I may: start with the finished product tell us what it is, what it does, what problem it solves, how it might help us around the house, then go through the design and construction phase.
Thanks, Robert, I appreciate your feedback. I have invented another valve to drain down a cylinder in half an hour and presented it to Monument Tools in Birmingham. They liked the idea but said it wasn't a tool. I posted this video because I love engineering and in England (me being half Dutch) we like learning multiple skills which aid us one way or the other, like fixing my car or tumble dryer. They're just nuts and bolts. I posted the video and my friend said I should approach a manufacturer so I took the video down due to patents but I'm more of a community guy and think a lot of what we use should be open source and available to everyone, within reason. I'm new to making videos and a bit camera shy so any feedback, help and advice is very much welcome, thank you. I'll do that for my next video and teach everyone how to make that valve themselves. Thanks for subscribing and nice to meet you
Thanks for taking time out to explain the way you do it. Never easy trying to do the job and get content. Keep your videos coming. 👍👍
Thanks, Paul. Hopefully, they will get better as we go, I'm busy making a full tutorial and will remember to zoom in and zoom out this time, haha. Thanks for watching 👌
is it a shop vac or just a vac?
An idea is to put a screw through the handle hole and fix it to the cupboard. Then you don’t need to keep replacing the cable ties. Also love the idea.
I was asked to provide a hot and cold garden tap in the garden so they could fill the paddling pool. I kept it simple and connected the hot and cold from the sink to the tap and puta isolator with handle on each. Instructions were turn which ever they want on .
The important thing is to have check valves on them and by doing it your way you can never gauge the temperature. You would have to guess or un time you would get used to knowing how much to open each valve. This way I can leave it wherever it is and adjust it for the purpose I need it for. You're idea works too. It's whatever purpose they have for the tap. Thanks for sharing Richard 👍
Its was just for the kids paddling pool so cheap and cheerful. Probably used once and then they realised how much it cost to fill with hot water!!!
@@richardlewis5316 very good point. They're better using a pool pump with a sand filter and use glass beads to keep the pool clean. They're only £125 as a package. Bag of salt and salt generator. My old neighbour did what you said and refilled the pool every 4 days. 9 cubic meters of water is £9 every 4 days. Depending on how much you pay for your water. I would only recommend using your hot water if you have solar thermal due to using free heat during the day. I'll be trying fdifferent things this summer to test the water heaters and see which one is best and cheapest. It may even be a minisplit. But it has to include everything. Service cost and overall cost. Plenty more videos on the way ;)
Wrapping cars is one thing, wrapping a heat pump...not sure what to say about that...🤔
It doesn't affect the heat output. Some people like it in the garden and some don't. I thought this might be an idea for the people put off by the design of it and make it more customisable. Do you prefer the original design? Mitsubishi engineers would prefer their design haha, like graffiti on their artwork. We can't please everyone ;)
Looks sick to be fair
Sub for the channel name alone 😂 Legend 👏 Nice work too!
Thanks mate, nice to meet you!
Link? Good work btw
Sorry, I forgot about that and thank you. I've added the files to the text in the video.
