Could you try to build the Arquitens class Star Cruiser from Star Wars?
This is awesome dude, been looking for a Battlestar build since launch!
10 out of 10 for the appearance of a battlestar. Sadly though this design isn't at all practical for a primary ship.
1. Too little storage space.
2. It pushed the max length so you can't use the best engines in the game.
3. His choice of using the Hopewell passages for the ribs just leads to six dead end passages. Should have used engine mounts instead.
4. Adds pointless habs just for the sake of looks. This adds pointless weight to the build. The structure parts I get for the most part. Many of them you can use for weapon mounts.
I will say this though. I think a Battlestar design is probably very appropriate design build for a capital ship. Which isn't technically in game yet. I say yet because there are things people are discovering in game files that make me pause to think what is coming in the future. Likely in later DLC content. There are existing game files for building space ports. The game's own tip guide suggests keeping ships below 40 meters or else they won't be able to land or take off from a planet. Why say that when the ship builder won't allow you to go beyond 40? It is because the game was initiated with capital ships in the design. We just tip toeing into these larger builds.

A Cygnus class Gunstar would be almost perfect for Starfield scales and part selection.
Im thinking the Nostromo is going to be anyone's largest challenge

All these builds are awesome - I know this may be an annoying ask, but any chance of adding a list of the required components in the description, like a shopping list? It makes it way easier than sitting with a pen and paper and hoping you don't miss any while you watch - whilst knowing you'll have to come back later to try hunt down that one piece I know I will.
This might be a weird request or not feasible, but any chance your videos for future builds could put your camera feed in the lower left corner? The lower right has some really useful statistics like mobility and mass that we can't see. Love the builds and I've replicated several of them myself!

They need to make it so that when you buy a part in the game that isn't located in your shipyard, it's then available for purchase in your shipyard from then on. They also need to make it so you can go into your ship without having to completely finalize it and exit the builder. Not being able to see how it's coming together on the inside and what the habs look like while you're building is a major omission IMO.
Great build! FYI you can use a Deimos 1x1 docker instead of the companionway + slim docker combo to reduce mass and ladders. I'll be making this build as my C class ship from now on!
Are you psychic or what? I was looking at Battlestar builds earlier today and thought the Pegasus would be cool, but I didn't find any. An hour or so later and you post this? Amazing build.
It would have been sooner, but I got tied up with real life work.
Admiral Cain would proud, lol... Dont get me wrong, I love the Star Wars/Star Trek builds, but it seems like the design ethos of the game just fits franchises like BSG, SG-1, and The Expanse that much better
If you are looking for more ideas the SDF-1 from Macross, the Yamato for From Space Battleship Yamato, Maybe something Warhammer 40k, or ...well dang you've done most of the Iconic Western designs, not sure if you can get a hold of the Æon Trinity stuff to of their old (sometimes badly designed) ships.
Awesome , Now all we need Starfield to add is AI fighter bots hangers in a upcoming DLC
I made this, but mod the wings, and added special Stroud engines, and one A class engine hidden under the ship to get it to 100 mobility, but had to cut down the cargo to 3000.
A few suggestions/challenges for you:

Gunstar from The Last Starfighter
on an xbox 1, "ship exceeds max length, width or height. I love the vagueness of the error. But it most likely is the fact that it is 41m long. Damn, no mods to overcome this. Then I figured out that the under nose pieces had to go deeper, "that's what she said." Problem solved.
Sounds to me that you have a wrong piece in there somewhere, which is pushing it over its 40m maximum length. My guess it's probably the wrong engines?

Dude, your builds are the best out here!!! With an infinite game budget, Id build them all. So far, your Millenium Flacon, and Serenity are in my ship list. I'd dearly DEARLY, love for you to do an Outlaw Star build. Whatever ship you do next, though, Im super excited. Keep it up!!
Okay, they definitely need to and a patch allowing for actual proper Capital Ships and Battlecruisers. We need fighter/drone wings to fill these hanger bays!! We need fleet movements and major pitched battles!
Don't know if people are still reading comments but don't feel pressured into flying your current ship if you need special parts. You can build a ship build and fly over in your home ship to whatever manufacturer you need the parts from and continue your build. If you don't have a spare ship do a mission from the mission board and capture the ship(s) to get some extra build slots. Happy building!
Use the stroud engine bracers instead of the HopeTech hab cross bracers. Unless you don’t mind annoying hallways that lead to nowhere in your 3x1 all-in-one berth. For me, that was the only flaw with this build. Otherwise the ship is dope

i modyfied your build instead of that small cockpit i used the big 2x3 from homestead as front thx ... only problem i only have 2x2 grav drive and i need to find a place for it aaand i used 4 engines so it looks more like the prometheus

it says the ship exceeds max weight size or length even though i followed everything perfectly?
now we need space battles and pirate lanes. can you imagine a trail of meteor debris thru the solar system that you have to avoid because its heavily pirated. imagine when you do choose to venture forth you have to face boss ships made by other people designs. sure they will have to set timers to their weapons to build difficulty

mine is 41 meters for some reason while yours is 40 idk what is adding that extra 1 meter that is making it go over the length limit so it doesnt let me exit

Looks great, as always...however, seems like it will be necessary to dogfight in 3rd person, since the bridge/cockpit is buried under all those parts.
Actually, the view in first person is not bad at all. The top parts don't really obstruct the view.

Love your build, have had it in mind myself but can't really get it to look right. I thought when it's now battlestare galactica it can't be made bigger with and maybe use the 2x3 rooms?? Or will it be too clumsy??

Would love to know how many credits your builds cost. Got a few in mind I want to try, but don't want to start just to run out of credits mid-build. I'm on S|X so I can't just add credits through the console command. If you could add a total to the beginning or end of the video it would be much appreciated.

Its a great build and with little changes I have now my favorite ship!
After I finished it I noticed little problems .. the jumpdrive is too big if I use a C class drive so I have to move some parts and the reactor with 40 energie has no connection point for this end part you have used. I changed to 50 LY(=30LY) drive and a 40 energy reactor, set a controll station near the computer core modul und now I have 9 crew stations. Add 4 B class turrets for side and rear defence.
I changed a crimson fleet chimera to this and I had nearly all needed parts at this old captured modell!

Great build! Don’t know if you have ever played the mobile game Infinite Lagrange but it’s a ship battle game and they have some cool looking ships! Eris 1, Constantine the Great and Eternal Storm are some cool ones to check out and build!
