For somebody whose native language is not English, you both did an AMAZING job on understanding and picking up on the philosophical elements in the film! Well done! :) great reaction!
I know you all said that the machines didn't know where zion is and that is where they are digging but the machines know EXACTLY where zion is. They are digging right about zion down to it to destroy it. You all should watch the Animatrix cause the first episode on that is about the ship the Osiris and them discovering the machine army digging. I highly recommend you watch that.

While never said outright, there are scenes which show the intense defense systems they have at the entrance. The machines were simply 'going around'. Why the machines don't camp (edit: or seal) the entrance just beyond the defensive measures is never explained.
The reason they have to leave Zion to enter the Matrix is because Zion is deep underground, and the machines live on the surface. Broadcasting through millions of tons of rock and dirt is impossible :P That's why they go up to "broadcast depth".
As far as Seraph and the Twins are concerned: As the Architect explains, there were several failed versions of the Matrix in the beginning. The Paradise Matrix is where Seraph comes from (hence why he glows gold in machine code), and Seraph is the name of one of the choirs of angels in Christian myth. He is an Agent from that version, programmed to help people and protect them (as the Paradise Matrix was supposed to establish control via pleasure and contentment, giving humans everything they wanted). This obviously failed because humanity is masochistic and self-destructive and can't just sit back and enjoy things.
The Twins, or the "Ghosts" are Agents from the next version, the Nightmare Matrix, where all of humanity's monsters and boogeymen were made real in an attempt to control humanity through terror and fear, but this obviously didn't work either as that much stress would cause organ failure much more easily (whole crops were lost), and it was discontinued as well.
The Merovingian is another program who essentially didn't like his purpose and set himself up as a sort of mafia don in the Matrix, assisting other programs who either wanted to escape or to find their own purpose, in exchange for.... favors :P Seraph used to work for him for a while until he got sick of the bad things he was doing, and went to serve the Oracle. The Ghosts are just fine being his henchmen :P
The reason that Zion is allowed to exist is that it's like the pressure relief valve on a pump: To get humans to accept the Matrix as 'reality', they had to allow them their free will inside of it, and ultimately that will lead to people questioning that reality and discovering what it really is, and freeing others from it. The machines let this go on for a while until the 'anomaly' appears (Neo) and give him the choice, preserving that concept of free will: save their comrade, or save the species, only before, The One didn't love the person who was going to die, and this the machines did not include in their calculations.
When Neo did what he did to Agent Smith in the first film, he separated Smith from 'the system' essentially, allowing him to be a totally free agent within the Matrix, and he uses his abilities to essentially copy himself onto others to aid him in HIS purpose: to kill Neo.
Neo is also able to remove the bullet from Trinity and restart her heart because just like in the first one, he knows that it's not a bullet, and that's not her body, it's all code that he can alter.

It's all controlled after all.. they are and never be free while they are bound to machines... And i am more than sure it has to do with so called real world as well
At the beginning of the movie when Neo and Trinity were alone on the elevator and started making out...Joy wondered why they couldn't wait to start making out, when they were just alone together on the ship.
It's customary in a military branches that there is no fraternization between military personnel. So even though they slept in the same bed together, I think they were respecting the Captain (Morpheus) and crew by following those rules of proper conduct while working.
However, she did kiss him at the end of the movie...or was breathing oxygen back into his lungs while giving him a kiss, to force air into his lungs so he could breathe.
As soon as they were alone, they couldn't wait, because it was probably a while since their travels to get to Zion.

Yes, there were five previous versions of the Matrix, and five different versions of The One. If those five previous Ones were exactly the same as Neo is not specified, and not really relevant anyway. All we know it that Neo is the 6th One, and he ultimately chose the door back to the Matrix instead of going through the door to the Source like the previous Ones did.
All the previous Ones chose the door back to The Source in order to perpetuate the repeating cycle of rebooting the Matrix and the destruction and rebuilding of Zion. But Neo chose to save Trinity instead, breaking that cycle and potentially dooming both the Matrix and Zion to permanent destruction and killing all of humans in both.
How does Neo have the power to stop Sentinels in the Real World? It isn't explicitly explained, but my theory is that it's another power given to The One by the Machines in the event that he rejects the door back to The Source. Just as they anticipated that a small number of humans would reject the Matrix, they must have also anticipated that a version of The One would inevitably choose not to go through the Source door. So in response to this event, they had to give The One an alternate means of returning to the Source...
In the original scenario, everything that happens in the “real world" is also part of the matrix. The architect (creator of the matrix) understood that people always tend to fight for freedom, and therefore created the so-called “real world”. In fact, all people are in the matrix, and there are no “woke” ones. This explains Neo's powers in the "real world" (when he destroyed machines with his mind). It’s just that this script didn’t have a “happy end”, so it was rewritten...

One movie I rlly recommend is Chappie, to this day it’s still one of my favorite movies.

The Merovingian said it himself..choice is an illusion created by those with power, in this case in order to guide Neo.
The idea of the Oracle being good and the Architect being bad, the choice of that, is an illusion as well, they are after the same thing. If you noticed the "Oracle" isn't actually predicting things but rather makes things happen by influencing others on a certain path in order to reach that specific conclusion. The best example being right at the beginning in the first movie "don't worry about the vase // question is if you'd have broken it if i didn't tell you"
Also, she called Smith as being ANOTHER anomaly, another extremely good catch, that's why the war didn't end when Neo, the presumed only anomaly, reached the source.

The Architect's speech to Neo was meant to be a bit confusing. Most native English speakers didn't understand it the first time around lol.
Well, the first bit was, but then the Architect realized that Neo was different from the others in the past and spoke with him earnestly.
The reason a lot of people couldn't follow it is because he was speaking proper English, and not the colloquial slang English that most people know solely. I understood it just fine, being an intellectual :P
@@lordmortarius538 I’m not an intellectual or confused by the architect but more to say that it’s the type English we learn in school in Denmark. It’s only recently that we have implemented all other accents and dialects. He also looked like on of my math teachers 😅😃😀

It just a constant cycle, that’s why it is so related to reality because what is reality, just a constant cycle of creation, life, death, then creation again. Over and over in different expressions and form.
Few years ago a theory emerged that Agent Smith would be the Chosen One ! Another thing ,there is a question that has never been answered . If Neo had five ancestors ,then what happened to them ?
That's because the real world is another layer of Matrix..
Remember the Architect said: we choose 16 survivors. To rebuild the zion... He choose bullshit! They reset the zion the same way they did with Matrix many times... Neo's powers outside of Matrix proves they are still trapped inside a program
@@MJoy4Fun Actually the real world IS the real world, Neo is different from the other Ones' from the past, in that he touched The Source when he met with the Architect, but chose to save Trinity instead of the species, thus he did not sacrifice himself to nullify the 'anomaly' in the code of the Matrix, and is wirelessly connected to the Source, just as the machines are. This is how he can do what he does in reality, he can access their wireless network now that no human ever has before, because the One dies before he finds out he can do it.
Obviously he wasn't ready to handle the strain necessary to utilize this wireless connection which is why he collapsed after destroying the sentinels, but it's not 'magic' or another layer of the Matrix.
@@lordmortarius538 but for a simple Human all of those couldn't be possible in the real world.. unless he isn't a real human.. or someone special... if you watched the 3rd part u could see that even blind Neo can see beyond the Barrier of reality... just like he could see after he died in the first part when Smith shoot him.... the fact that they need to run 6 times this simulations proves that they were looking for the perfect Simulation. for the machines to survive they need it a purpose for the human mind....
the only Anomaly that happened in Matrix was Smith. he became Rebel and Outlaw. thus making him against the System... in fact that makes Smith the only one who really tries to search for the Truth! by overcoming Matrix and looking for more answers in the Real world through Bane. so the main purpose for Neo was to Annihilate anything that goes against the Simulation of the Real world. if Smith overcomes this the truth was revealed and Machine Simulation would end....
@@MJoy4Fun But two things: Neo actually destroys Smith in 3 - wiped out all of them, and the Machine World used him to do it. Is the Machine World at the end of 3 also a simulation? Why did the sentinels try so hard to kill Neo before he got there if they knew he would be needed to wipe out Smith? Seems to me that Smith is the virus in the System, not an Anomaly.

The prophecy isn't a lie like he said. Like morpheus said the one returns to the source and the war should be over. The other tin was s yeah it was cause he saved mankind by picking a few survivors then zion is destroyed. The war is over. It's just how they're interpreting it. They think the war will be over so zion will win much I bet lose. Nope lol. Prophecy never said that lol. Yeah they can play with my mind lol. Love these movies that play with your mind lol.
