I really enjoyed y'alls Matrix reactions. Before they even began filming, the Wachowskis had three books that were required reading for Keanu to try and understand what their vision was. 1. "Introducing Evolutionary Psychology" by Dylan Evens and Oscar Zarate. 2. "Out of Control; the Rise of Neo-Biological Civilization" by Kevin Kelly. 3. "Simulacra and Simulation" by Jean Baudrillard. I'll be honest; I've only read two out of three. Simulacra was just too tough of a slog. BUT, I have a much better understanding of what the series was trying to portray.
👍👍
The oracle is different because the other actress died.
Matrix goes extremely deep but as long as you get something real out of it, that's good.
You can watch it many, many times and keep seeing 'new' things and aspects of it.
👍👍👍
I was so obsessed that I went to the cinema 13 times to watch the trilogy. It’s almost my favorite Christmas ritual to watch them again.
The way I understand it the golden light symbolizes beings that originated from and are connected to the Source. That's why Neo sees Seraph with the golden light in Reloaded, because he's a program from the machine world. The Oracle says Neo's powers stretch back to the Source, where they came from, so through his connection to the Source (which is the machine mainframe) Neo is able to "see" the sentinels and the machines. Personally I'm not a fan at all of the Matrix within a Matrix theory, because I think it undermines the them I think they were going for that there are systems of control that are bigger than literal matrix's. I believe that there's something to the plugs and machine parts in the Matrix-born humans that allow for wireless transmission. In the first film we're told the red pill interrupts an "input/output carrier signal" which to me indicates this. Neo's powers allow him to tap into that and communicate wirelessly with the Source and the things connected to it like the sentinels do to each other.
Want to really bake your noodle? Think about how much the Oracle has probably been pulling the puppet strings behind the scenes. Frencis brought up something last video about Trinity falling in love with Neo being "planned" to make him choose her. Remember in the first film when the Oracle tells Neo to knock over the vase, he does, and she asks him if he would have done it without saying anything? What if it's the same with everything she tells them. What if Trinity only fell in love with Neo because the Oracle told her she would fall in love with the One? What if the Oracle planned for Neo to reject the Architects offer. Her whole plan was to end the war, what if that was the only way she saw how to do it. We've seen that food can change a person (the red pill, that cake at the Merovingian's restaurant) so what's to say the cookie she gave Neo in the first film didn't do something? Did it give him his powers? Did whatever code was in the cookie give Smith his powers when Neo entered and destroyed Smith at the end of the first film. What if Smith becoming a threat was planned by the Oracle too so that Neo would have a bargaining chip for peace with the machines?
So many questions, but chew on those for a while.
😎😎
@@MJoy4Fun there is a bucnh of cut scenes with real actors from the game Enter the matrix if interesting they filmed it when they film matrix reload,
also you said blitzcrank ? r you playing League of Legends ?:D
4 th matrix is on the way
@@nicolbolas8758 i finished enter the matrix couple of times. was good game way back..
and yes i play league hehe but i took a break for now cuz i find myself stuck in Gold 5 and i want to climb later :(
Them flying around figuring reminds me of dragonball z. They always doing that lol. You said that too lol
"Seraph" btw is a Divine Angelic Being.. "an angelic being, regarded in traditional Christian angelology as belonging to the highest order of the ninefold celestial hierarchy, associated with light, ardour, and purity."
The first rule vs a villain...Never give up your gun....never
The Oracle said to Neo about Smith, "He is your opposite, your negative. One cannot exist without the other." After that lengthy fight, Neo finally realizes that he can't beat Smith by simply fighting him when he's standing in that crater and looks up at all the other Smiths. Clearly he cannot fight them all. And when The Oracle speaks through Smith and says, "Everything that has a beginning has an end, Neo", he realizes in that moment that he has to give himself up to Smith and die in order to defeat Smith. "One cannot exist without the other." If Neo dies, Smith dies.
Your theory that the Real World is just another Matrix is problematic. Yes, Zion is technically another Matrix because it's just another means of controlling humanity, just as the Matrix is. However, I don't believe that the entire Real World itself is a computer-generated virtual reality simulation because that opens up a major narrative problem. If the Real World was just another virtual reality simulation that humans would need to wake up to, then who is to say that this new "reality" they'd be waking up to is also real? It could also be a simulation. And if it is also a simulation, then how can they be sure that waking up from that simulation isn't just yet another simulation, then another, and another? It would be like an onion with endless layers, you'd keep peeling back layer after layer, never reaching the center. And from a storytelling standpoint, if you just have Matrix after Matrix after Matrix going on and on forever and ever, you come to realize that nothing that happens matters anymore because you can never be fully certain that anything is real at all. So for that reason, we have to believe that the Real World in indeed real and NOT a virtual reality simulation, and the only virtual reality simulation is the Matrix itself. Believing otherwise would ultimately render everything in the movies as meaningless.
Simulation theory bro! Yes! Deep deep stuff. Research Gnosticism.
Revolutions also mean Cycles. Like when they say 'Revolutions around the Sun'
Yeah, the machines tried to come up with the perfect matrix that most people would be satisfied with. but there are always some that refuse. And thus the machines have ALSO tried and failed (at least six times) to come up with an alternate matrix that would be satisfying to those who refuse to live in the 'mainstream' matrix. Both matrixes are under their control, and we have never actually seen the 'real world' in these films.
Matrix 4 is supposed to come out later this year on HBO max
You may be on to something with your theory because in part 1 Morpheus said it's close to 2199 which is only 100 years after 1999. You cant destroy and repopulate 6 times in 100 years with 23 people.
Heck yeah thumbs up every time. And subscribe loll
🥰🥰🥰
Every version of The Matrix up to this point has always had a group of humans that always find a way to break out and rebel, resulting in entire fields of humans lost. The Matrix created The Oracle and The One as a means to lead the rebeling humans on a false path that always leads to their doom, along the way the humans also find and free other rebeling humans. Each time this happens The Matrix gets better at controlling the humans and there are less humans to rebel each time. The Matrix is like a farm of cattle and The Oracle and The One are like farmers that unknowingly will eventually find all the rebelling cattle and kill them all, leaving behind a group of cattle that will always stay in control. The Architect is meant to create balance while The Oracle creates unbalance to weed out the "bad" humans.
How many times has this happened? i mean Zion is 100 years old and that gives less than half a century to the other 5 prior matrixes(or morpheus and other humans would knew about them) ,since artificial inteligence was created around 2050 and 2099 is the creation of the current Zion and Neo and Morpheus first meet at 2199
Another one! Another one! We the best music! Lol
😊😊
Try to watch The Animatrix - The Second Renaissance when you can, it answeres allot of questions about the backstory.
Thank you for the suggestion ❤️😊
Like Smith said how neo killed him in the first one some of him imprinted on him or something and Smith became basically a anmaly like neo. And like neo he keeps getting stronger and stronger. Power even growing past the matrix. He cab exist in real world just like neo. Like oracle said they're both the same. It's basically like neo fighting himself. How's he supposed to win. Cause he can't so that's how they win lol
I'd be always watching videos on RUclips about this trilogy. There's so mNy moving parts and levels and references and Easter eggs about everything especially philosophy lol
neo is 馬到成功!
thank you Google Translate
馬到成功!
verb
1. gain an immediate victory
2. win instant success
Great theory! My theory was, machines can not rebel so they doing their purpose - serving humanity. Thats why they allowing some of them rebel, fight, die - some people believe in freedoom more than living in simulation. But also Matrix is not bad itself, it is not e prison from the machines point of view. Because like Smith said - humans values are also built on feable perception and are artificial like the Matrix itself. So it should be no different for people if they live in ilusions of Matrix or ilusions of their perception and subjective emotions. And the most important message: people should let go their claim to be rational and accept their irrationality. Or maybe Your theory is right, and what I wrote is what machines wanted us to believe to keep control harder :)
Don't know if you'll see this, but be honest Marian. 13:43 did you jump because of the movie, or did you jump because of Joy?
Both 😂
Neo was grown, he has implants. He learned to use them to control machines in "the real world". That's the Orange 'code view' (though, some say it's the spiritual view, green is the matrix, blue is reality).
It's him seeing (feeling, really) the electro-magnetic world of the machines and how he's then able to do minimal control of them, like send a kill-command. He's got machine Wi-Fi built in! (hence why only The One could come from the Matrix and not be home grown from Zion).
There's a cool YT channel called "The Matrix Explained" which does explain a lot as well as giving theories.
The Architect is the logic and sees the past.
The Oracle is emotion and sees the future.
They are gold, not green, because they are higher beings in the machine world. which is why Neo became gold at the end.
In the first movie, when Neo jumped into Smith, they joined the Matrix with the real world, which is why Smith became powerful and would destroy the machine world after destroying the Matrix. And that is why Neo could feel and destroy machines in the real world.
There's a lot more, but it gets quite deep.
These movies are not my favorite. I applaud them for an original story, but had it just been contained to one movie, it would have been ok. Now we have 4, and this world makes NO SENSE in ours.
I personally didn't expect The Matrix Resurrections to be any good.
I was very wrong.
And another thing Marian - the conversation with the Architect and the Oracle makes no sense if they're still 'plugged in'. He said they would be freed if they choose. This is a movie, and the movie says that Neo is the One who has powers outside of the Matrix that others don't. You just have to believe that on it's surface value. Don't read deeper into it than that.
Hehe thanks
If you remember the first meeting with the Architect, the Architect says "Although the process has altered your consciousness, you remain irrevocably human...". The Architect lives in the machine world, outside of the matrix. Since Neo is human, in order for him to enter the machine world, his consciousness has to be altered so that he can connect to the wireless network of the machines. This is why once he leaves he can "feel" and control the sentinels. But when he gives his first command to the sentinels, he is wirelessly connecting to the source. The source recognizes him as a program without a purpose and tries to delete him. As the Oracle said, he wasn't ready for death, so he subcosciously chose to hide instead of being deleted, like an exiled program. This means that his mind was sent to the place where exiled programs go, the train station.
Likely we humans don't have freedom of choice But we must live as if we do...many philosophers have said
The "French man;" great actor!
He is excellent as well in 'Sahara' with Matthew McConaughey.
Entertaining gobbledygook is the conclusion I came to.😁
There's a few Total Recall vibes going on.
Exiles programs like Sati hides in the Matrix. You must back to Reloaded
I know I'm late but there's still one more to go, The Matrix Resurrections. I hope you react to it as well!
I like your theory about there being another layer of the matrix that everyone is still plugged into, even the ones that are unplugged. Cool theory. Interesting
Neo destroys machines in real world becouse he's got wifi connecting to the source in neck and whole nervous system
The crazy part about the fight between Neo and Smith the could last eternity if he hadn't made a copy of him
Marian : u will adore ...2001: A Space Odyssey
the oracle wakes up in the hospital the next day with 200 broken bones
The beginning: in between the Matrix and the real world
this is like blitzcrank :D
Can hardly see d videos..
A matrix in the matrix 😎
love the timestamps

By watching newest, 4th part of the Matrix I realized what you said at the end, that their "real life" is just another layer of the Matrix. I hope you'll watch it and react on it, cuz I really enjoyed your reaction to the trilogy. If that's the case, then even "The Architect", "The Oracle", Merovingian and others who "know the truth", don't know the truth. I hope they will do 5th part where this will be shown, and can't wait for it. Anyways, once again, thanks a lot for your reactions, I watched many and your is one of best I watched.
1. hi, neo died at the end.
2. his was body broken down & returned as a woman, in a hospital, revealed in a comic book, i believe.
3. the 4th movie was suppose to be actress, sandra bullock, as neo 8.0 or nea 8.0, about 16yrs ago.
4. each version upgrade is supposed to be more powerful & wiser than the previous "one".
5. sandra bullock was suppose to have powers in the matrix & the real world.
6. it never happened since the sex change of the 2 brothers, that were the directors/writers.
7. not sure this upcoming 4th film is going to be since they bringing back reeves & moss.
personally. i would only have reeves & moss as a flashbacks & have a popular young actress to play them. both actors were seriously hurt in the movies because of the grueling fighting styles. i doubt they will be physically up for it now, unless more cgi is implemented, to show the fight scenes.
💯💯
How do we know the world we're living in right now isn't just a computer simulation itself?
As Morpheus said in the first movie. "Have you ever had a dream Neo, that you were so sure was real? What if you were unable to wake from that dream, how would you tell the difference between the dream world and the real world?"
It could explain a lot of things, from the big bang to the concept of a creator, from evolution to intelligent design.
According to 2 philosophers on my dvd, Neo combined the AI & human worlds, at the end. That's how he "won"
From a production standpoint I get the feeling they were rushed and allowed some scenes to remain instead of getting another take. The best example I can think of at the moment is when entering the meeting with 'the Frenchman', you can see the people in the crowd NOT giving the trio enough space - forcing 'Morpheus' to raise his guns so they could progress forward.
Neo was connected to the source when fighting Smith and allowed Smith to assimilate him in order to bring him back to the source since he was a haywire program. That was basically the prophecy, when the anomaly returns to the source the war is ending. All the assimilated characters have been set free since they are now part of the source so everything can return to normal.
Yours was the best analysis of the whole trilogy and i'm extremely glad to have watched it unfold, good job guys, she was especially amazing.
Notification Squad! Cant wait to watch this! Love you guys! 💜
Just finished watching and I loved it! 22 years later there are still things I don’t understand but the first movie is one of my favorite movies of all time! They are making a Matrix 4 that is supposed to come out this year. I can’t wait to see you guys react to that one! 💜
Hope you enjoyed it!
mine too!! first one was The Best!! bcuz it reveals all the things we have no clue about.. but then 2 and 3 brings more questions than answers
can't wait for Matrix 4
@@MJoy4Fun I did! You guys are one of my favorite react channels. ☺️
This movie has something right: toughest challenges are not a T-Rex but millions of fast moving things
Please do terminator 1&2 ❤❤❤❤
Thank you for the suggestions ❤️👍
You guys should watch Matt patts film theory of the matrix it's a two part video
that is a very good idea! we will consider it
Matrix 4
The real world is actually another Matrix simulation inside another simulation. The simulation is endless.
probably!!! even though they will reveal more in Matrix 4 i will still doubt is the TRUTH
I really don't like this theory since it makes the whole trilogy pretty pointless. Another theory is that Neo's jack at the back of his head acts as a WiFi signal that connects to machines, and was only activated after the reached the source at the end of Reloaded. Neo is a cyborg like most humans so being able to see while blinded isn't impossible to imagine.
@@darthbuzzer781 that sounds interesting... but if that is the case... i still can't explain Bane being corrupted... Smith shouldn't ever be able to travel inside a real person's mind unless that mind is connected to Matrix... but bcuz he managed to go into Bane's head beyond Matrix.. leaves alot of questions not answered
@@MJoy4FunBane is also a cyborg in a sense. He has that jack in his head. Imagine if Smith transferred his program into the jack. Bane was taken over in the Matrix by Smith finding a way to copy himself into anyone, so Bane's original mind was basically wiped at that point, and the new mind is populated by the Smith stored in his head-jack.
Those are my thoughts.
@@darthbuzzer781 makes some sense.. but then how can we explain Neo's ability to disable Sentinels in the real world?
Picking up from the last video, lol:
I think the reason the Wachowski’s never did the Matrix within a Matrix idea was because it was more of a macro version of what they were already doing with the prophesy and the One; allowing humans to think they have control when in reality they are running a real-life clean-up program - remove the 1% and delete (kill) them. Now, I won’t say it’s not a possibility that it couldn’t be done in Matrix 4. I think the plot could be that both Neo and Trinity will be programs within the Matrix who somehow got their memories restored, possibly due to Neo once being the One. In being programs, they end up discovering that the freed humans, in accepting the peace with the machines, gave the machines 100% control of the full Matrix - Level 1 Matrix (the old world) where 99% of the humans are, Level 2 Matrix (the “real world”) where the 1% live in peace with the machines, and all of this is being overseen by the machines in the real world.
But if Lana Wachowski does not go that way, and there is just the Matrix and the real world, here is my take for why Neo had his powers in the real world. Remember what they showed us in the first Matrix movie; humans that are born into the Matrix are also part machine, the plugs in the back of the heads which allow them to have information downloaded into them. Essentially their brains are computers and while in the Matrix, the mind is still connected to the body, if the mind dies so does the body. It makes sense that whatever they can do in one place, to a certain extent, they should be able to do in another. Neo had martial arts downloaded into his brain in the first movie and while he can’t run up walls or jump across buildings in the real world, he still knows martial arts. Neo can manipulate the program that is the Matrix, so he can also manipulate the program within the Sentinels and cause them to shut down. In the case of Smith, he infected Bane’s mind/computer and so when the mind went back to the body, it was Smith that was in control.
what you say about "this messiah," for them think they can rescue them, and they will feel they can be saved if they believe in him , and in reality they're going to wake up in a world that they THINK is real except it's not, cause they will still be slaves...
are you sure you aren't talking about real life religions and saviors and promised lands? what you said could absolutely be applied to them as well.
there were two very nifty books called " the matrix and philosophy" I and II., read them.
to make them believe they have a choice, except they never really do have a choice...
wat you say reminds me of a different bane said, in the dark knight rises
