You should watch it again. So many things to catch on a second viewing. The oracle says he is not ready and “maybe in his next life”. He dies and then truly becomes the one in his next life.
Oracle knows everything.. he was too ''immature'' to hear all of the things he will do... i am struggling with the fact that ''there is no choice overall'' Morpheus was right ''is not a matter of Hope, but time'' that means it's inevitable to happen

I just happened to noticed the Smoking Gun Billboard on the roof when Trinity was escaping at the beginning for the first time, and I've seen this many times.
She also said no one can tell you whether you’re the one or not, you have to feel it, like being in love.
Check out what Neo's customer says in Neo's first scene. Almost everything the guy says ends up being prophetic. He tells Neo, "You're my savior, man. My own personal Jesus Christ." He also says Neo "just needs to unplug, man". Both of these are literally and metaphorically accurate.
It's cool to note that the Oracle was never wrong/lied in what she told Neo.
She told him that being The One is like being in love. "You just know".
And what did the Neo in front of her answer, when asked what he thought she was going to say? "I'm not The One."
He wasn't The One yet, because he didn't believe yet.
And then she goes on to say "You've got the gift, but it's like you're waiting for something."
"[Waiting for] what?"
"Your next life, maybe?"
And Neo only starts to truly believe after he's killed by Smith.
This movie was groundbreaking in so many ways. Visually nothing like it had ever been seen. The bullet time scene were a breakthrough in film tech. By using a 180 degree bank of cameras they could blend one cameras field of view with the one next to it. This allowed them to stop an instant in time and completely revolve around a single point. After decades of slick action movies that everyone loved. They created an iconic action style with a super intelligent story that blew everyone's mind. This movie is a legendary work of art that changed the genre for all time.
I love the rapport and energy that the two of you bring to the reaction game. This earns you a place on my subscription list and a thumbs up on all your future efforts from me. Congratz ; )

@@MJoy4Fun Well, 'you already made the choice' implies that there is in fact a choice, and Reloaded and Revolutions explores the 'why' a little more. Just like the red pill and blue pill, Neo already made the choice well before he even met Morpheus, but his journey uncovers the why. The Architect probably does the reveal - 'love'. He was always drawn to Trinity.
@@MoMoMyPup10 kinda... but let's not forget who started all this mess... it was Cypher... he betray them from the very beginning.. since Trinity was watching Neo and she was talking with Cypher but she said ''did u hear that? are you sure this line is safe?'' while she was talking with Cypher... Cypher betray them with the oracle part too when he dropped his phone in the bin to be tracked... that helped Agents to capture Morpheus.. helping Neo do the unimaginable choice to rescue him.. and rescue Trinity from falling making her fall in love with Neo more and ofcourse making Morpheus to believe in Neo even more... when he barely kills Agent smith in the subway station.. he manages to run but he got shot by him when he opened the door he supposed to reach to get out of the matrix... but in fact he didn't die bcuz he IS THE ONE. and then he changed by seeing everything beyond anyone... makes me think more than one thing... first.. he is not supposed to die cuz he is the one.... second.. he is not human bcuz he behaved differently than one.... 3rd he is a programed by the main source to mantain the Matrix at another level and help matrix keep in balance just like Oracle does.. but all of those things i will talk about at the end of the series
"So he's just downloading everything into his mind?" looks at her blankly "uploading!" looks back at him and rolls her eyes "uploading!"... ah to have a significant other, haha

I can't imagine why I haven't watched this before; you guys are among some of my favorite reactors and The Matrix is in my top 5 favorite movies. LOVE your enjoyment of this groundbreaking movie and hearing your thoughts on the concept of it. When The Matrix originally released, I was in the hospital (for almost a month! I was seriously sick) and everyone I knew had been to see it. I missed all the hype that went with it and everyone would just keep parroting Morpheus' line, "no one can be told what the matrix is". I wasn't even excited to see it, the 90's were full of ridiculous and soulless action films that were very short on plot and feeling. This film was everything- a beautiful story of human nature and what our minds can create wrapped up in some of the best action scenes (still) ever put on film. Thank you for letting me watch right along with you!
This movie makes you start asking questions.
If you watch the animatrix before matrix reloaded, make sure that "a kid's story" & "last flight of osiris" are the two last.
Because "a kid's story" is the origin story of a new character from the sequels
And "last flight of osiris" is the intro of matrix reloaded which takes place 2 days before ^^
This and Guardians of the Galaxy are my two favorite movies of all time.

We concur: there's no reason to only have "never seen this before" reaction videos. As long the reactions are interesting, who cares?!
I agree with you completely, the enjoyment of watching someone react to something is in THEIR enjoyment and hearing what they have to say about the film. It's like watching a movie you love with a group of friends. I don't always need a "going in blind" reaction.

I prefer watching reactions from people from different cultures especially, also, for every reason that might come to mind. This channel has two very different but natural people who bounce off, but compliment and love eachother, like Siskel and Ebert were fun to watch in an earlier era. What's not to love?
But the common denominator which makes a reactor worth watching, for me, is interest; if a reactor gets invested in what they're watching, 9 times out of 10 so am I! If they're not, then I'm not, I'm just frustrated.
Marian & Joy are great! As reactors, I'd say these two are in my top five :)
Blade & The Matrix are my two favourite films of all time.

I rewatched this twice to confirm that audibly that's actually what he said. In this video, it sure is.
I remember "the wool that has been pulled over your eyes" very, very specifically. Enough that even though I've watched other reactions to this movie, which have included the same scene, this is the first time I stopped and had to say something.
I swear to god if this is some "mandela effect" bs and I literally just now crossed into a different timeline
It took me many times watching this to understand WHY Neo was the "one". His mind is stronger than everyone elses. He adapts to being inside the Matrix faster and more readily than anyone else, say like Mouse who had a weaker mind and could not possible exist fighting the enemy. The enemy guys can take over anyone's mind except The people who are Awake and know they are in the Matrix.

Neo is the reincarnation of the man who was the the one
You're the first ones to have noticed the fact that the choices are symbolic throughout the movie, especially the blue red pill, they do nothing, it acts only as a catalyst a trigger enforcing the choice of a specific path.
OMG NO, the pill does not have magic :)) she was right, the pill has however the effects Morpheus mentions, tracking Neo, just the same as the bug implanted by the agents.
And yes, another first one, Neo didn't die after having gotten shot because he is the only one able of separating himself from the Matrix
I read originally they were using the humans for their brain's computing power but they figured the audience would not understand it. So they went with the battery idea.
This movie is so awesome. The only thing that could dampen the awesomeness especially the action scenes is all the craziness in real life. The assault on that building by neo and trinity really inspired people like the DC snipers who thought were really in a matrix or columbine shooting which I think they were planning that before this but this didn't help. Plus all the ones that been happening this year. Haven't heard of one for a bit. Is that good or bad. Is that it. No more this year or does that mean ones coming up. Crazy time we living in. Still big fan of this. Can't wait for new one lol.

Well, your two favourite movie trilogies have something in common: Agent Smith and Lord Elrond are both played by Hugo Weaving, an Australian actor who was also brilliant in the iconic "Priscilla, Queen of the Desert"
I am very happy that you finally see this movie. As far as I can understand that there are several parallel universe that our mind cannot see. Just like Quantum Physics. We believe that this world is ours; that is not true. The most powerful element is the nature. Nothing surpasses the nature that. That's all 🙂

Get up Trinity is my favorite line in the whole trilogy. I watched it 13 times in the cinema back then. Completely, utterly and insanely obsessed. I could fine new angles and actions every time. I still watch the trilogy as my private Christmas tradition.

Loved your reactions a year later - when I watched. If I’m not mistaken in 1999 or a few years before the matrix concept was fiction as Star Wars and Star Trek were. I don’t know real matrix examples but they plan on self driving cars going into the matrix as you start the vehicle. Then as it leaves the house it goes into the matrix driving all the way to its destination never stopping for lights , traffic, or signs with all vehicles driving at once almost in a blur of speed with accuracy. This isn’t the matrix but an example or preoccurence …. Fed ex has gpx routes for its drivers programmed into their computer maps with preprogrammed maps that the drivers follow. This preprogrammed route only makes right hand turns with but a few exceptions. This would have been going on in the late 90’s. I’m not smart so I don’t know of any matrix real stuff going on back when these brothers created this fiction. But I was late like you to the story. Yet I certainly enjoyed you guys interaction in this concept. I get mad at Cyfer every time I watch it. Such a good villain.

Man, not the first time I've seen this kind of thing, but this would have been 10x better as a reaction video if the one that has seen it already knew how to stop talking. Most of these scenes are MEANT for you to wonder what is going on, as it will be explained in the movie before long. Instead we just explain it nonchalantly before it is shown. It's a pretty cool reaction, but it could have been a lot better.
Why does he react as if it was the first time he saw this film?
For joy...
Self-actualized persons can experience the same old thing as though it is new. They can pick out things they missed in prior viewings and appreciate everything they know they will experience again. They can remember what it was like to view it the first time and feel the same excitement. They can imagine what others think about the movie.
And it is obvious he is using rhetorical questions to encourage Joy to take note or think a certain way. I think a lot of the comments criticizing the reaction are jealous of his ability to enjoy the movie as though each time were a fresh viewing.
