One thing I like about this trilogy is Christian Bale shows the 3 sides to Bruce. You have the billionaire playboy act that he puts on for a show, to throw people off from thinking he could possibly be Batman. You have the beast he becomes as Batman. Then you have real Bruce who is nobel and stoic but was hurt and is still trying to find himself
And in the billionaire playboy role he gets to channel Patrick Bateman XD
I'm 51 years old, and Batman has been a part of my entire life and the Christopher Nolan trilogy is as good as it ever gets.
Nolan did the best Batman movies. Frank Miller revived the comic in 1986 with the "Dark Knight" run.
1986 was a watershed year in comics as the Watchmen by Alan Moore also premiered, with both series featuring story lines for adult audiences. The late 80s were huge for comics, with Sandman by Gaiman debuting in 1988.

The only amazing movie of the trilogy is The Dark Knight. Begins is only good and Returns is kinda stupid.
Besides, the best Batman is the DCAU Batman from the 90s and 00s. Batman, Justice League, and Justice League: Unlimited

God, this ttrilogy was a gift from Gods! Nolan is the GOAT. I love his direction style so much. He revived the Batman portrayal in Hollywood that was ruined for decades by the movie Clooney did before this. I so look forward to your future reactions to the other two movies. Especially the 2nd one - which has the great Heath Ledger. His last movie in this world. I'm so glad I subscribed to your channel! It is the best to watch with you all these great favourite movies of mine!
Legendary trilogy that re-ignited interest in the character for many. Love it.

Bruce is less tortured in this because he confronted most of his demons, fear and pain when being trained. Bale's acting is subtle but effective. When he sees Rachel in the restaurant after swimming and she walks away from him, you see his billionaire playboy mask drop, and you see the hurt and sadness inside of him that's normally there.
I can't wait to see their reactions to the next two.

Aside from the Joker, that movie missed the mark. Heath was beyond incredible but the Rachel and Two-Face narrative was never believable. And the actress reminds me of the scene in King Kong when he realizes it's not the same girl, and he tosses her away like a rag doll. She was terrible.

Christopher Nolan does love to cast Michael Caine in his movies. From The Prestige all the way to TENET.
Interestingly, Batman Begins was actually the first movie they did together.
@ProudOfYourRoots Interesting observation. But while *some* of those actors show up in other Nolan flicks, none as consistently as Michael Caine. Man has been in practically every Nolan film since this one.
Also the star of the next movie, Heath Ledger wasn't British. He was Australian.

I love this movie almost as much as its sequel, The Dark Knight. The Dark Knight Rises is good, but not as good as the first two. Gotham and Pennyworth are also both wonderful.
Tbh Dark Knight Rises was disappointing. As far as I'm concerned, the story properly ends with The Dark Knight Returns animated two-parter. Delish!

It's not who I am underneath but what I do that defines me. Epic. You so need to see these films in IMAX; Nolan truly made gamechangers.
This three movies are the only Batman movies I actually love ,all the other ones are just cheap copy's. And all though I like Joaquin Phoenix as an actor his Joker is a joke compared to the one you will soon see. RIP Heath Ledger.👍

I honestly didnt enjoy the Batman that came out this year at all; it was just too dark and depressing; but the Batman Begins Trilogy is just brilliant!! I am going to have to rewatch the whole series its been a long time. Great reaction and look forward to you guys watching the rest of the trilogy!

Fun fact: Harley Quinn was created solely for Batman the Animated Series and was so popular she became a regular part of the comic canon.

I continue to be disappointed by the typical reactions of people to this film, almost like none of them have a different reaction to anything, no appreciation of the antagonists' character development or the social commentary throughout the trilogy. So many wonderful subtleties overlooked, dead, dumb & blind.
The Dark Knight is the next movie... and themes you are referring to will be explored as the trilogy unfolds. the next two movies are superior to this one.
and Maggie Gyllenhaal takes over the Katie Holmes role as Rachel.

Ra's -al-ghul is from the comics and in the comic books ra al Ghul dies and comes back to life with the Lazarus pit he also has a daughter who later has a kid with Batman the kid grows up to become Robin and the kid's name is Damian Wayne

Great reaction! And yeah, Batman's deep voice is a bit silly, BUT it also makes sure that nobody will recognize that it's Bruce Wayne - he's disguising his usual voice to help keep his secret identity. So ironically, it's actually kind of a "realistic" detail. :)

Fans were so teased for the other shoe to drop, Warner decided not to wrap things up, went ahead with The Dark Knight (can you tell I’m not a fan? 😛 ), and things hav been messed up ever since.
