My favourite from the MCU, it's just perfect, cast, writing, directing, soundtrack... Love it.

The end credit showed a strange character from the marvel universe named Howard the Duck.
The Collector at the end...Howard the Duck and Cosmo(the cosmonaut dog) are the two in the end credits
I still wonder if they are going to make a reboot of the old Howard the duck
They're honestly pretty fucking stupid not to notice that, since it literally appeared on screen in text and they looked right the hell at it.

This movie was surprisingly good! James Gunn did an amazing job with this film!!!! The music, the characters, the visuals were just spectacular!!!! Enjoyed the reaction!!!! 🙏🏽💪
The talking duck at the end of the movie was a reference to the first movie starring a Marvel character. In 1986 there was a movie Howard The Duck which was the first movie about a Marvel character. Howard The Duck comes from an alternate universe where everything is like our universe except that everybody is ducks instead of humans. Howard is a master of the martial arts 'quack fu". A strange event happened that caused Howard to be transported from his universe to ours. And the dog is a Marvel character named Cosmo.

I love Guardians of the Galaxy! Great movie. It was the best sci-fi movie I watched at the cinema since Star Trek in 2009.
I'm not a fan of the MCU at all, but man, the guardian movies are the best.

@@Jedicake I like them both, but for me, I tend to prefer Marvel (used to read tons of comic books when I was younger). It's just that lately, especially in the last couple years, The films do not seem as good as they earlier phase 1 (at least in my opinion), maybe I'm just burnt out on MCU movies.
The best Marvel movie besides the Avengers, IMO.

Hello, guys! The Duck at the end is Howard, a regular Marvel character in the 70's. It even had a film directed by George Lucas in 1986, called "Howard, the duck". And it returns in End game ( no spoilers here) .

Howard the Duck (end credit scene) had his own movie back in 1986. It's quite the curiosity.

Talking duck is Howard The Duck.
George Lucas directed movie based Howard The Duck comics. But movie bombed at the theaters in 1986. There's rumors that reboot is possible for new Howard like this one with an attitude. Dog is Cosmos that travels in space through I think Russia Space Agency

I personally think the Spiderman movies are a lot of fun too. Definitely suggest the ones with Tom Holland if you haven't seen them.
Actually..... if you go back to a lot of older movies from the 80's and 90's, and watch until the end of the credits, there are a surprising amount of them that have little scenes there. Marvel made that popular for sure..... but they weren't the first to do it.
The director of this movie James Gunn before he started making mcu movies directed and wrote amazing lower budget films. You guys should definitely watch his horror/comedy Slither, his parody super hero movie Super, and The Belko experiment. What’s cool though is he never forgot the older stuff he worked on and the actors so when he started to get big budget Marvel movies he casted a bunch of the people he worked with early in his career.
The post credits scene is just a cameo for Howard the Duck. There was a cheesy movie from the 80's starring him, by George Lucas of all people. Other than that there was really no purpose to the scene.

Fun Fact: They made video games of these two movies.
That was Howard the Duck in the post credit scene. He was briefly somewhat popular in the mid to late 1970s. He is a sarcastic cigar smoking duck that makes a living driving cabs in Cleveland. Long story. The irony is that Disney once threatened to sue Marvel over Howard being too similar to Donald Duck. They made Marvel put pants on him and change his bill to look thicker. Now Disney owns Howard. Ironic.

Best Marvel movie at the time.
And since, IMO. The combination of humor (quality and frequency), epic moments, memorable and likable characters, pacing and pure directing skill has yet to even be approached by any other Marvel movie.

This is a GREAT movie to react to and you nailed it to the wall (hey Drax, I don't mean *literally* ). And a little FYI along the way.... movie volume was much lower than your mic volume - always changing levels depending on who was speaking.

Ronan the Accuser was an enemy of the Fantastic Four in the comic books. I love the Guardians and also Nebula has a whole character arc through the films, watch for it.
The music and the tape his mother Gave him is a double meaning. The first guardians and the second guardians movie is called volume 2
I remember seeing this in the theater with my daughter. Best day ever! We never saw that ending coming, and it is so well done, we got goose bumps too.
I hope you watch Vol. 2 now, they will be releasing Vol. 3, later on.

Great film! You'll love vol 2 too
This was the film that proved that Marvel could print money. Characters nobody had heard of with a story that seemed only slightly connected with the over arcing plot going on with the heroes everybody had been watching, and yet not only was it a hit in theaters it's the favorite MCU film for a a lot of fans. It also had the best trailer of any Marvel film to date.

This may be too bothersome, but I would recommend watching _Black Widow_ *after* _Black Panther_ and *before* _Avengers Infinity War._ That's when it takes place. You would just need to SKIP the _final_ after credits scene in _Black Widow._
But like I said, that may be too much of a bother. 🤷🏼♂️
