I'm just so happy that the FFXVI Producer was so eager to work with FFXIV's Producer to get the XVI crossover collab into the game so quickly!
A fun video might be analyzing the FF14 area in Stranger of Paradise to see the references. As an avid 15 fan, they did a great job with 15's area, including areas from the anime and having containers full of elemental magic. I'm not super familiar with 14 so I'm not sure if its area is treated with a similar amount of love. Also, they should put Jack Garland into FF14
I heard the producer of both these games are good friends and have worked very closely with each other, so it makes sense there'd be a lot of references.

I was sooo excited that I had enough MGP saved up to get all the XVI orchestrion rolls from the Gold Saucer. During the cutscenes, I kept thinking the music was really good and I wondered if there would be any orchestrion rolls to collect. Surprise!
Just discovered this series a couple of days ago and have binged the entire thing. Hope to see more of them, because I thought I was good at spotting references in XIV, but you've really put me to shame in the best way possible!

While I not really a fan of XVI due to it's story using tropes I have grown tired of from their use in XIII or XV that XIV was a refreshing break from, the crossovers have always been fun.
Every story uses tropes, that's like saying you don't like a certain cake because it uses flour

No, its like saying I don't like a certain flavor of cake. I'm not saying I hate tropes in general but SPECIFIC tropes. Not every trope is used in every story.
