watched this vid last spring when i changed heads on port side engine im here now watching so i can change the starboard side heads now hahah thank you very much!!
Clean threads are more important than lubrication. I will typically chase the threads on the block as well as the head bolts. Oil doesn't necessary hurt but it is not going to help with a damaged thread and what you want to do is not add resistance so you get the proper torque on the bolts.
now my 302 lifters have a little hole on one side that is to be facing the center of the lifter valley i think.. the little hole is at the top is the lifter..
I have access to AllData but you can Google "351 Windsor Torque Specs" and find good information. There is a website called DIY Ford that gives some good information as well.
Following this along, I have a 66 mustang that is getting a 351 Windsor, it’s going to be a fun little car

@@mancaveautomotivemaintenan5342 Sounds good. My block is a 92, do any holes need thread sealer? Forums go back and forth on using sealer or not.
Some say they are all pocketed, others say the bottom head bolts go through a water jacket.

How did you do the valve adjustment on this engine.
On the 351 Windsor, the valves are adjusted by push rod length or rocker spacers. There is no live valve adjustment
@@mancaveautomotivemaintenan5342 thank you for your response
Where did you get those torque specs/schematics? Is there a document on a website somewhere?
